Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 7 Just a solid restaurant all around. We stopped here for breakfast a few days ago and enjoyed everything except the Crispy Belgian Waffles. Maybe my standards are too high because I had the real thing, but these were not crispy or airy, more spongy. Anyway, rest of the food was good. The Sausage Egg & Cheese Roll was nicely done with two circular sausage patties, soft scrambled eggs, on a fluffy roll. Breakfast Avocado Toast was tasty, with two awesomely poached eggs, but the bread was a bit chewy and soggy, not toasty enough. Lastly, the star of the meal was the Chilaquiles Verdes, which was quite good paired with the crumbly chorizo and sunny side up eggs.
Florence Prime is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys food. Honestly, if I could I would just leave that as my review. It's a five minute walk from a major transit hub (Roosevelt Ave station), less if you walk like the rest of us. It sits on a busy street that borders on chaos. And, because of that, it feels like an oasis when you walk in. The staff is attentive, the design is modern, and the food is too good for the prices. It's clean and spacious enough (considering the area) and once again I'll mention the food. Latin x diner = delicious. Get breakfast for dinner, get dinner for lunch, get whatever you want and you'll enjoy it. Tell them a stranger on Yelp sent you.
Florence Prime Diner is great for the neighborhood. The location is right off the 82nd street train station on the 7 line. I've visited a few times and posting for the first. Staff is super nice and always come by to refill your water. If you need extra napkins, they got you. A big variety of food options from your typical diner menu as well as others. Portions are nice and it's clean. Typically busier on the weekend.
This place was a very surprising find. Food was absolutely on point and prices are reasonable. We found street parking as it was Sunday and metered parking is suspended on Sundays. The decor was very fresh and green. Full service bar with plenty of draft choices. This time however we opted not to get any alcoholic beverages and stuck with water. Service was incredible, very responsive and proactive server. This place is surprisingly awesome for the area. I really enjoyed the large screen tvs and the decorations weren't too over the top. Over all, I'm very happy with this find. As for food, I'm not gonna lie, it was some of the best I've had in the area. We ordered the Cuban panini with house salad. The Cuban was perfectly cooked, so flavorful and portions were amazing. I also really enjoyed the house salad. It was an excellent salad with so many different vegetables, it had blueberries, mixed greens, beets, char roasted corn, cherry tomatoes, and some other vegetables that I wasn't able to identify but tasted so fresh and paired really well with the salad. Jen had the skirt steak sandwich and paired it with a mix of regular and sweet potato fries. We split our meals so that we can both enjoy each other's choices. It was a power move and no regrets. Both sandwiches absolutely packed with flavor and portions were very good for the price. Overall, I'm really impressed with their decor, food and service. If I'm ever back in the area absolutely will try more of the really expansive menu. Check it out you definitely won't regret it.
Love this place. Not-so-hidden gem right off the 7. Equally good for a casual snack or a special occasion. Menu has a huge selection. I've eaten here four or five times and always left satisfied. Food is well prepared, tasty, and portions are generous. Staff is uniformly welcoming and efficient. Prices reasonable for the quality.

The diner looks like a hole in the wall. But once you walk in, it's really spacious and nice. The decor is very clean and upscale, without being pretentious. We were there really early for breakfast. The food was delicious. I was a little saddened by the smallness of the waffle order. It was delicious, not sure if the price was right. My husband was really happy with his omelette and the potatoes were delicious. Considering how quiet it was when we were there, I was disappointed the waiter didn't come by with more coffee or if we needed anything. I would still return, but probably have an omelette next time.
Never even knew this place existed. But ima tell you rite now. Everything was fire and i ordered 2 entres just to make sure i was making the rite call here. I had chicken cesar wrap and huevos con chorizo and both hit! Yea 5 star general rite here
I come here often! Have also brought my friends and family for breakfast and dinner. The ambience is welcoming and comfortable. We love their drinks, food and specials menus. Some of the staff even recognize us and they are always so friendly, attentive and respectful. We love their drinks, especially the espresso martinis and mezcalitas. Some of my favorite orders are the chilaquiles, nachos and calamari. Thank you Florence for being the best Diner in Jackson Heights!
Went there with my sister and mom for lunch and it was great! The place was clean, great atmosphere, the waiter and his daughter was great, and I look forward to going there again.
Service was friendly and prompt. Lots of attention to fill your water glass. Wanted to try the roasted beet salad and it did not disappoint. The dressing was just the right amount- not overly drenched or too little. If you like beets , this one is for you. The fries with the chicken club could have been more crispy and less salty otherwise it was fine. The shrimp and linguine was tasty. Good number of shrimps. Food came out without much of a wait. The garlic bread was yummy! Nice and thick and warm. Nice option in a block with many fast food establishments.

This was a great and welcome addition to the neighborhood when it opened a few years ago. It has become a regular spot for me. They serve Latin American food along with classic diner fare (sometimes with a Latin American flair), and the food is always high-quality and delicious. I have nothing but faith in this kitchen, and they also take great care to accommodate my food allergies. The waiters - Chewy, Ivan, Jacob, and Jose - are consistently accommodating and charming. I think this is truly one of the best places to eat in the neighborhood, and I often bring friends here, and everyone I have introduced to this place has liked it. Highly recommended. read more
Pricy brunch but reasonable quality and options. I had a nuts smoothie and roasted beet salad with salmon. Beet salad has flavors that go together so well, nuts was blended well with a nice smoothness and texture, and salmon was cooked well. Garlic bread was provided and very tasty. Two pieces provided but quality. I like that it is a small amount but done well so that I am not overeating carbs. Very classy. I couldn't finish the salad and took some home. After ordering catering for many months, I decided to actually visit their brick-and-mortar. Conveniently located on 82nd St., steps away from the 7 train, this bright and shiny "Diner "is both welcoming and stylish, with a great menu and excellent service. there is a beautiful fully stocked bar and a diner counter along with several tables. Restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms are well lit and well designed. I ordered the avocado toast, which came on a healthy piece of sourdough bread with two perfectly poached eggs and a delightful frisee salad. Coffee is also great! read more

My friend suggested we meet for brunch on a Sunday at this diner. It was much nicer than a diner -- felt modern and clean. Our servers were very friendly (despite our indecision and delayed ordering due to catching up before even looking at the menus) and informed us of the daily specials. I decided to get the special burrito with bacon, chorizo, scrambled eggs, cheese and home fries. My friend got the California omelette. The food came pretty quickly. I was extremely happy with my burrito, plenty of chopped up bacon. It was huge so I ended up packing half of it to go along with some of the potatoes. Definitely would recommend giving this a place try. read more
Ate here today by myself for lunch on a warm Saturday afternoon. I had brought and ate only the chorizo con huevos that it tasted pretty good and delicious. The service there was also attentive. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time. read more
My boyfriend loves diners and we decided to find our new diner spot in Queens and boy are we glad we found Florence. First of - you can get your typical diner food...AND MORE! We both got Mexican food - he got tacos and I got chilaquiles. I also got a horchata which was delicious. The staff were super attentive and the diner has great vibes - love the decor. Once again. Amazing food and service. Our 3rd time here and they always remember us and make me a fresh pot of decaf coffee. We started with pork Al pastor tacos. They are heavenly. Super fresh with little surprise bites of sweet pineapple. I had legendary eggs Benedict. With Canadian bacon and home fries with fresh peppers and onions. Spectacular. Hubby had a chicken gyro with mixed fries and he was really happy. Unfortunately parking around here is a nightmare. We really should take the subway. We'll remember next time. How would I describe my experience at Florence prime diner? I walked in around 9:30 am with my family in time to order the grilled skirt steak eggs hollandaise off the brunch menu. There are a myriad of delicious brunch options. Yummy! One thing I can say is that they have friendly service. It is busy, yet worth it. I would definitely recommend it to others if you have kids or a date. It's a cute atmosphere inside! read more

I don't know why working in the area it took me so long to eat at Florence. The service is friendly and quick. I've never waited more than 15-20 minutes for my order. The food is fantastic. It's fresh and tasty. I usually stick to my go to which is a chicken Gyro and sweet potato fries. I've had their Caesar salad and other chicken sandwiches. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order. read more

Delicious dinner for breakfast and brunch in a very lively environment. We describe the atmosphere as a modern Latin diner. The service and staff were fantastic. My friend and I were in the hunt for amazing pancakes. That search brought us here and wow it did not disappoint. She got both breakfast plates and I tried it as well. Stellar. The pancakes were super fluffy and tasty. I got the skirt steak sandwich and also amazing, the steak was slightly tough/fatty but cooked perfectly and juicy. Our sever Cathy was the best. She was so sweet and helpful, attentive but not too much. The restaurant itself was so modern and clean we really liked the vibe. They had a full bar and a great menu, enough choices but not overwhelming. Debated between the 4 and 5 because of the steak but ultimately for the price and the food and great service. 5 we will definitley be back. read more

Don't walk, run to this place ! Great ambiance, great food, great service and beautifully paired food with sides. The food is nicely presented on ceramic stoneware. Constant refills of drinks. The prices are the same as local eateries and diners. This place is great for lunch, dinner breakfast all day. Alot of groups go for lunch. Oh, they have a nice beer selection. read more
**Delivery Review** Wanted to try a new spot for Saturday late morning brunch, and this place has excellent reviews. Typical large diner selections with a large Mexican menu as well. Decided to get an order of BBQ Wings ($14). About ten slathered wings served alongside a heap of coleslaw. Sauce is fine - tangy and sweet while covering the wings completely. The chicken isn't overcooked and comes off the bone nicely. Coleslaw is an afterthought - alright in between bites of the wings. Delivery is quick and efficient, still warm and no food gone awry. Nice modern diner with a bar. There is an extensive brunch menu with typical American dishes as well as Mexican dishes. I had huevos ranchero which comes with a side of rice and beans. It was filling and very tasty! The latte was on the bitter taste. We also had a fruit smoothie which was delicious and sweet. It tastes a bit like candy! read more
