This is a cute hole in the wall donut shop, no frills. Came here for the first time today around 11am and was impressed by their customer service! Such a sweet person working the cash register! I tried the chocolate glazed donut and it was good - Average, but it hit the spot! They had some large fluffy croissants in the case, so I'll be back to try those next time. Just like the usually mom and pop donut shops they only accept cash. They're very polite and sweet when we first walked in. Wide variety of goodies: donuts (glazed, powered, maple bars, chocolate twists, chocolate w/ coconut, etc.), ham & cheese croissants, bear claws, apple fritters, 5 donut holes for $1...And if you really want a breakfast of the champs, they have ICE CREAM too (but it doesn't look to appealing). To wash down that donut you ate, you can buy beverages including: coffee, milk, gatorade, vitamin water, soda, apple juice, OJ, and capri suns (ahhhhhh brings me back to elementary school). Overall, the donuts are OK but I definitely have had better. The service is good and the employees are always nice and friendly. Just be sure you have cash or coins (hopefully you have some laying around in your car) because they don't take card! I don't usually buy donuts anymore these days because I'm a bit of a health nut but I wanted to bring something special to a staff meeting. I got a dozen mixed donuts and a cronut. Very affordable and very tasty. Kind customer service. This is a cash only business so be prepared for that. They do have an ATM there, which I ended up needing to use but it would've been better if I was prepared. Happy insulin rush! read more

This place is great. I appreciate that they are open at night as, weirdly enough, I sometimes grab a donut on the way home from work. These days it is out of my way but if I have a few minutes I'll detour here. At night, donuts somehow still taste fresh. I had a craving for donuts one day and being new to San Marcos I had no idea where a donut shop, this place was the closest to my location and it seems that most donut places are either in Escondido or Vista... odd. I went here around 4 pm on a weekday, their displays were mostly full, but there really wasn't a bunch of choices, just the bare minimums for a donut shop. They didn't have those soft twisted donuts (think they call them French Curlers or something) and only pink and white frosted donuts. Besides that, the real negative thing is that it's a cash only shop... they don't take credit/ATM cards.... they do have an ATM on site, but you get charged a fee. Boo. The donuts themselves aren't bad, just not spectacular and the limited choices are a bummer. I would come here again, but unless I can't find a better place, it won't be my first choice. read more

This is a basic hole-in-the wall donut shop. My fiancé had been raving about it to me so I decided to stop in with him the other day. It's not very pleasant to the eyes so I would recommend getting your donuts/ etc.. to go instead of staying there and enjoying them especially since the place is pretty small. They have the basic assortment of donuts just like any other shop. I didn't like the fact that there wasn't clear pricing anywhere and you would probably have to ask how much things specifically cost. I always wondered how come places like this don't really invest in buying signage or other things to make their establishment look better. But hey, your there for donuts not ambiance right? They also carry different ice cream flavors if your in the mood for that. Another thing that was super cool is that they have a drinks menu that consists of different types of blended drinks. I really want to come back another time to try them out. My fiancé told me he came in around 5ish before he went in to work & they couldn't make him one of those drinks yet... ? Love this place. Grew up on these donuts so my perception is fairly skewed, but objectively, it's just a great place for donuts. They only accept cash, which kind of sucks with the atm in there charging like $3 for withdrawals. But go there with $5 in hand and come out with awesome donuts. There was an issue with another donut shop we had ordered from for an event and we were desperately calling any and every donut shop we could trying to find donut holes at 2:30 in the afternoon. The old fashion donuts(my favorite) is a bit too oily for my taste, and the fact that I have to carry cash to purchase is always a hassle, in a digital age it's a huge downside carrying cash I almost never do.
