Place is cute, decorated well, clean. I just thought the flavors were lacking in the rice (so bland) and cucumber, the drinks were terrible (why is my margarita carbonated?) and I didn't care for their Bao. Its also very small so we were like half an arms length from table next to use, kinda noisy environment. The pan fried dumplings were good - recommend trying those. And I like they had wild mushroom fried rice, thats unique but could use some more flavor. I got my son the spicy dumplings to go and he only ate one because he didnt like the insides, and he's a dumpling-holic. Just all in all it was a one and done for me. Since it's in Asia town, parking is a mess and non-existent, but the place it self was not busy. We walked right in with no wait. Waitress was nice. Prices were decent (except drinks were over priced for the quality) **updating my review because the restaurant did respond, which I always appreciate. Shows they care.

Each visit has been consistent with food and service. Nice ambiance for friendly hangs out and causal date night. My go to would be the Szechuan spicy xiaolongbao, crab & pork xiaolongbao, shrimp & pork xiaolongbao, supreme tan tan noodles, wild mushroom friced rice (husband fav), pork chop fried rice, and stir fried green beans. Gets a little expensive if for larger groups due to portion sizes.

A very specialized restaurant from the perspective of Bao and I found every one of them that I ordered simply wonderful inclusive of pork, chicken, crab, beef as well. I had some spicy cucumber and the next time I'm going to order it with steamed rice, which is also readily available. I do not know how close to authentic this Bao is however, regardless of its authenticity it has a wonderful flavor that is well worth experiencing. Aside from the wonderful food is the equally wonderful service which was efficient effective and fun. The waiter we had was absolutely perfect given that we did not have experience in this particular menu. In this particular case, he also seem to be seconding as the bartender and he did quite a marvelous job at that although frankly, I simply had a Nigiri sake, which was wonderful. It is a relatively small area, but the ambience is quite well appointed. I would say somewhat modern for 2026. Everything was clean well appointed and a pleasant atmosphere overall. I would encourage whoever is reading to make reservations, especially on a weekend night as the waiting list if for walk-ins is rather extensive. This is a restaurant well worth visiting in Katiy Asia town

Tried Supreme Dumplings for Sunday lunch and got seated right away thanks to a Yelp reservation. This might be my new favorite spot for soup dumplings in Houston. It's the closest I've found to Din Tai Fung, the dumpling wrappers are super thin and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only dish I didn't love was the spicy cucumbers, which could use a little improvement. Other than that, everything was great. The restaurant is cute with an upscale feel, service was attentive (our water glasses were always full), and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely coming back!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stopped in for lunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We ordered the spicy wontons, spicy pork soup dumplings, and hot and sour soup -- and every single dish delivered. The soup dumplings were perfectly made, packed with flavor, and you could tell they were fresh. The spicy wontons had just the right kick, and the hot and sour soup was rich, balanced, and comforting. I came during lunch, and there was no line or wait, which was a nice surprise. I've heard that dinner usually requires a reservation or comes with a long wait, so lunchtime is definitely a great time to go. The restaurant is fairly new, and they've done an incredible job with the space. It's beautifully decorated -- high-end, trendy, and very inviting. One of the coolest features is being able to see into the kitchen and watch them making the dumplings fresh from the main dining room. The staff was excellent -- truly amazing. Everyone was so nice, attentive, and helpful, which made the entire experience even better. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. I highly recommend and will absolutely be back!

This is nowhere near a Din Tai Fung dupe, but the food is solid here nonetheless. The pan fried dumplings recommended by our server Anthony were my favorite bite of the night, would go back here just for this. I found the supreme XLB didn't have much flavor, but they have a sichuan spicy XLB option which was good and I preferred that one. The atmosphere and service was excellent so I would be down to come here again if they made the XLBs more flavorful

Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. You can see the dumplings being made fresh from the kitchen window. My son and I came here for lunch today and we were pleasantly pleased. We normally can't eat Chinese food because of the heaviness feeling afterwards but we enjoyed everything and felt great after we ate. Highly recommend.

I am a huge fan of dumplings and love to try new dumpling places. Saw Supreme Dumplings on my search and thought of giving it a try. I loved the interior's simplicity and wall accents. The menu was short and simple. I had the Supreme Pork Xiao Long Bao, Mini Pan-Fried Dumplings, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Supreme Tan Tan Noodles, and Sweet Taro Xiao Long Bao as my dessert. The skin of the pork xiao long bao was thin and the filling was of good proportion. However, the soup inside didn't have much depth to it. Thus the xiao long bao was just ok. The mini pan-fried dumplings were good and had some soup inside, so be careful when biting into one. The pork chop fried rice missed the mark for me. Firstly, it wasn't presented nicely. Secondly, the fried pork chop was fried in old oil, thus the taste of it wasn't good. The fried rice was decent, but too much chives. The Tan Tan noodles' soup was flavorful, but the ground pork was little to no existence. The taro xiao long bao was tiny, but each one of them was filled wholly. The filling wasn't too sweet, therefore it was enjoyable to finish the dish alone. Overall, the only dish I enjoyed thoroughly was the dessert- taro xiao long bao. As the restaurant is small, I would recommend getting a reservation to avoid long wait time or disappointment. Finding a parking spot may be challenging due to the area filled with many restaurants.

Super yummy food!! The tan tan noodles were my favorite, they were the most flavorful tan tan noodles I've ever had. So good we ordered it twice! Soup dumplings were good and the mushroom fried rice was unexpectedly yummy! The chocolate buns were bussin' The restaurant is pretty on the inside, and service was good

Made reservations here for a Sunday evening. There was a wait and a line outside. So I recommend a reservation if you decide to come. The restaurant is small inside. There is a hostess stand and the bar, which was used to hold supplies and dirty plates at the time I arrived, which is not something you want to see. I got here 3 minutes before my reservation and was asked to wait because the hostess was deciding to wait for another party or sit me. The other party wasn't even here or checked in, so I don't know why I had to wait if I was on time. Order some soup dumplings, mini pan-fried dumplings, and pork wonton noodle soup. For the dumplings as a whole, they have a nice flavor in all of them. The pork wonton noodle soup needs some adjusting. There is no flavor in the soup; all the flavor is in the wonton, which only tastes like ginger for some reason. Also, all the food came out at room temperature or slightly on the colder side, which is weird. Other guests around said the same thing and made the restaurant redo some of their food. Their service was on the slow side too. Multiple people around me had to wave for the waiter/waitress, just like me. Overall the food wasn't bad, it was everything else that came with it and the food temperature.

Went here for lunch on a Thursday and really enjoyed all the food. The ambiance was nice but unpretentious. I heard that people have lined up for this place, so it was a nice surprise that we were able to be seated immediately with our large party (10). My side of the table did family style and ordered the tan tan noodles, Szechuan spicy XLB, the supreme pork XLB, mini pan fried dumplings, pork chop fried rice, the stir fried seasonal greens with garlic, and the famous charcoal gold lava custard bun w/gold flakes to share. The tan tan noodles were a great balance of nutty, savory and only subtly spicy. The noodles were chewy and the dish was tasty overall. (7/10) The Szechuan spicy XLB was the star of the meal for me. This was super unique and had the kick of spice that I really enjoyed. (9/10) The supreme pork XLB were also yummy. The broth was flavorful and exactly what I'd expect from a XLB. (7/10) The mini pan fried dumplings were juicy and had a perfect crispy bottom. (7.5/10) The pork chop fried rice was great as well. The pork chop was tender and the batter was well seasoned. I felt like this dish was a good portion compared to the others as well. (8/10) The stir-fried greens with garlic were standard, nothing speacial. I think next time I would get the green beans instead. (5/10) The charcoal gold lava custard bun w/gold flakes were good, but I think they were a bit over hyped for me. They are a good sweet bun to end the meal with but were nothing to write home about. I also felt like for the price it should come with more than 3 buns. (6/10) Overall, the food was great. This is definitely one of the better food spots in Katy Asian town, however, it is on the pricier side and has smaller portions than I'd like. The service was friendly and the parking in the plaza is a bit difficult, but it is definitely worth a try!

Had a tasty meal here. Make a reservation on Yelp or join the waitlist when you arrive. The dining room is really nice and service was friendly and prompt. Besides the soup dumplings, the pork chop fried rice was probably our favorite. All of the food came out piping hot as it was ready. They also have cocktails and several tea and lemonade options.

Located inside of the 99 Ranch Market (#1) along Mason, it had so much potential but struggled with foot traffic. As a result, it closed for good several weeks ago. With only a handful of tables, the setup was casual and completely unpretentious. The restaurant transitioned from over-the-counter ordering to a self service kiosk, a practice that has become commonplace amongst many Asian eateries. Prices were reasonable for the area, with plenty of options under $10. The menu featured a number of classics true to Shanghainese cuisine, including their stir fried udon (上海粗炒麵), scallion oil noodles (葱油拌面), min purse wontons (小馄饨), and even braised wheat gluten (烤麩). All of these items delivered in a big way, even their steamed dumplings (水餃) was silky and plump. Unfortunately two Shanghainese staples fell short: soup dumplings / XLB (小籠包) and pan fried buns / SJB (生煎包). The XLB was doughy, unstable, and the broth lacked depth. The SJB suffered from a similar doughy texture, with very little crisp at the bottom. These were not issues initially, but over time the decline in quality became noticeable. There is a part of me that hopes for a revival in a new location. While there is no shortage of soup dumplings in Houston, Shanghainese cuisine remains rare. ___________ (#1) 99 Ranch Market - Katy: https://www.yelp.com/biz/99-ranch-market-katy-2

It was perfect for my parents, but my husband and I had to add some chili oil & soy sauce for more flavor. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. As I've said, in other dumpling places since this is a non-native food for me I can't speak to how close to authentic it is but regardless of its authenticity, it is well worth the experience. The service is extremely efficient very prompt you want for nothing. The only problem is that it is now a popular enough spot apparently that the demand on the single server which was in the restaurant on this particular occasion is considerable plus that same server buses the tables. In any case, she was absolutely wonderful extremely efficient and very kind. Took her time to explain items on the menu and then to discuss what some of her favorites amongst the many items they offer are. Will take her up on it the next time. The ambience is rather straightforward. Nothing luxurious whatsoever, but it gets the job done and so I'm certainly not going to opine negatively given the food service and the value. It is quite clean, which to me is a fundamental requirement of any restaurant. This restaurant certainly meets that criteria without any difficulty whatsoever. The colorful green fried rice looked unique, but honestly just tasted like regular fried rice. The green beans were overcooked, so they lost the crunch and sweetness that usually make that dish enjoyable. The green curry was extremely spicy, but outside of the heat, it wasn't very memorable. The shaking beef dish looked amazing presentation-wise, but the sauce was too sweet for a savory dish, and the crispy rice pairing just didn't work well for me. I initially thought the duck dish was Peking duck, but it was actually the Jasmine Tea Smoked Duck. Even so, everyone at my table agreed we still preferred the traditional Peking duck style. The duck itself lacked flavor for us, and the skin was soft instead of having the crisp texture we were hoping for. The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the soup dumplings, cucumber salad, and fried dumplings. Most of the other dishes at the table were barely touched. If you're looking for colorful, aesthetically pleasing food and great presentation, you may enjoy this place. But if flavor is your main priority, this spot just wasn't for me personally.

Two foodies from Houston…read more We decided to try the Taste of China since we have seen the restaurant on our walks through the shopping center. The restaurant inside is not large but well laid out and clean. Staff is friendly and professional. They quickly greet and seat you. We ordered three dishes two were similar one had pork and the other had beef with jalapeños with a side of steamed white rice. The third dish was a soup like. The food was seasoned well and delicious. We will definitely be back. Give it a try for yourself. Happy eating!

THIS PLACE AUTOMATICALLY FACTORS IN 20% TIPS WHEN THEY SWIPE YOUR CARD…read more Party of 4 in early May. Ordered 6 plates and a soup--total $120 (but after their tip, came out to $150). We usually tip pretty well, so the amount was not an issue--but the fact that the staff who helped us TOLD us the pre-tip price is $126 and then REFUSED TO GIVE US the bill after we paid made us suspicious. After repeated badgering, we were finally handed the bill and saw the $150 price. We would have been fine if you told us the automatic tip for a party of our size or that there's an amount/dishes-cap for the automatic tip--but if we had not asked for our bill four/five times by different members of our party, then we would have accidentally left another cash tip on the table. The ONLY reason we kept asking for the bill in the first place is because we wanted to make sure that a dessert plate we ordered--which never arrived during the entire service--was not charged. Taste was authentic, portion sizes okay, and there was a good selection of food from different parts of China on the menu, but absolutely would NOT come back again due to this shady business practice.
