We also tried the fried shrimp and fries, and I could tell I came later in the evening because the fried food didn't taste as fresh. The grease seemed old, which affected the flavor. That said, I'm trying to be fair. I came toward the end of the night, so I don't want to judge the place completely off that visit. I plan to come back earlier in the day when they first open to see if the food quality is different, because fresh grease and fresh batches definitely matter. I'm from the Westside and I really want to support places in my area. This visit just wasn't my favorite, but I can see how others may enjoy it -- especially if they come at the right time. I always spot dirty mop water in most restaurants because the workers leave it in areas that customers can trip or fall over if not paying close attention. No soapy water in the mop liquid, and caked on dirt and grease in the corners and sides of the floor tile should not be tolerated by management. But somehow it remains. . I was wondering are they hiring from the same gene pool to get these types of results. While the food is decent the perception can be changed with some ownership and willingness to make healthy adjustments. Let's see if this review helps them get onto the mark get set and go!
