We chose a comfy booth and looked the menus over. The menu is not the largest I've seen in a Mexican restaurant and there was no "lunch menu," but the prices were good and I like the fact that you can order items a la carte. I chose chicken soup and an enchilada; my brother ordered fajitas. The food was delicious! My brother said the fajitas were the best he's had in a very long time and they were reasonably priced as well. My soup was lovely and the enchilada tasty. The chips here are also some of the best I've had in a while, super thin and crispy. At the end of our meal, we were brought a free dessert (sopapillas drizzled in chocolate with whipped cream on the side). Yummy! The service was also amazing. We will definitely return here when we're in the area.

We wanted to check out a Mexican restaurant that we had not dined at in the past. Checked for…read morerestaurants in Woodstock and saw this was rated above 4 Stars with over 450 reviews. We walked in the door and were pleasantly greeted by our server. She seated us at a booth, gave us menus, and promptly took our drink orders. She brought out a basket of chips and a bowl of salsa. The restaurant contains booths along the walls and tables dispersed throughout two sides or sections of the restaurant. I had looked at photos of the menus on Yelp which included a photo of a separate Lunch menu. After reviewing the Dinner menu, our waitress returned and asked if we were ready to order. I told her that I did not see a Lunch menu and asked if they had a separate Lunch menu. She looked surprised and reluctantly agreed to get us a lunch menu. I told her it was our first time in their restaurant and we wanted to see all their menu options. She returned and asked if we were ready to order and I told her we were still deciding on our orders. There were only diners at two other tables in the restaurant at 1:00 pm so not sure what the rush was to order. A man returned (he may have been the manager or owner) to take our order and I joked with him that we were getting back-up support for our server. We placed our order and our original server returned to check on us. We both like spicy salsa and the red salsa brought to the table was bland (tasted like chopped tomatoes and sauce with little or no spices) I asked if she had a spicy salsa and she quickly returned with a hot salsa. I mixed the two salsas together and it was perfect. Our meals were fine but nothing special compared to our other frequent Mexican restaurants. Overall, not exceptional Mexican cuisine but the service was good. We will not be returning to dine here again.

Meh... I love places…read morelike this (see my other reviews), but TES didn't pass the first cut. My standards are to get the "popular" or leading menu item(s) the first time, usually cheap tacos so get a few to sample: chorizo, pollo, and barbacoa. They just didn't have much flavor to them or anything unique to draw me in. The sauces (red and green) are very good but they didn't add enough zip for me. I rarely leave food on the table but did this time. On a very positive note - very friendly staff and clean kitchen and eating areas. The seafood soup some gentlemen were eating looked great and the staff recommended the large version for more seafood. Give it a try, but there are street places nearby I put a bit higher.

Entering the places like entering someone's kitchen. Literally its a kitchen with a counter, seating and 4-5 tables. The menu is in both Spanish and English. It's one of those places where they give you tons of food for little next to nothing. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and when the nice woman asked if I wanted a medium or large? I wasn't sure but when she showed me their medium quesadilla which is a large for most restaurants; I thought I better stick to a medium. I also got rice and beans which tasted like it was made from scratch...not the can version I make at home...lol.... Best of all was the price. For $6.00 and change I got enough food for two meals....Thanks for a great meal guys...be back soon... 942nd review 12/12/2017
