Kelly does great designs, and Michelle gives a great pedicure, especially if you are someone that gets ingrowns like me. My mom and I got our nails done here last September 2025. And I've been here at least 4 times prior. My nails turned out well, but it felt like the tech was rushing gel x application. My mom got her first manicure in years, no nail polish just cleaning up the nail areas. It's April 2026 and her nail bed is still infected. The photos below are from today it was much worse when the infection first happened. The dryness of the surrounding skin is part of the infection. Even the shape of the nail bed is growing out a bit weird from the infection and I can't believe it's lasted this long. We've spoken to nail tech at other nail salons, and they think that improper cleaning of tools is likely the culprit. read more

Unfortunately, this was my second and last visit to Retro Nail Bar. The first time, the pedicure was just okay, but the nail tech was very sweet, so I decided to give it another try and support her. Today reminded me why I waited so long to return. The parking situation is frustrating--you only get 1.5 hours free, and after that, you have to pay. The salon doesn't validate, so if you're getting multiple services or upgrades, be prepared to cover the cost of parking. That said, the real issue was the pedicure itself. It was honestly disappointing. The polish was patchy, uneven, and applied so far from the cuticle that it looked like a pedicure that had already grown out for a month. I politely asked for it to be fixed, but only one toe was touched but even then, it looked the same. While the nail tech is very kind, the quality just isn't there. I ended up leaving, buying polish, and redoing the pedicure myself at home before an event. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

I was looking on Yelp for a nail salon by my workplace. I stumbled onto Retro Nail Bar and messaged them. Firstly, I appreciate how fast they respond and their late hours. Most nail salons are open until 6. Meanwhile Retro opens until 7 pm. A major thing to note is that the parking is going to be in a paid garage. I believe you can get it validated. You need your phone because they'll be a phone number you have to dial to get in and out of the garage. I was looking to get my old four weeks set removed. I got my nails done from elsewhere. I wanted them to give me a fresh full set with a simple design. I got Kelly and she did a wonderful job. She was gentle at removing my old set and was detail oriented. I never had a nail tech that takes their time at shaping, filing, and painting. She did the best she could to match the design. It turned out better than the design I showed her. As nail techs they can't 100% match the exact design in the photo. Since they're human, not a copying machine. However, she did a lovely job! Another thing I like about this place is how clean and upscale it looks. It is not an unclean tiny shop. It is a huge luxurious shop. They also have a large selection of colors, nail stickers, and crystals. I am definitely coming back for sure! read more

But I called the girl at the front desk (sorry I can't remember name) but she kept me at ease. I was able to book an appt for my nail appt ahead of time for myself and my mother in law for a spa date. They made me feel so relaxed. I had a pedicure with Joy. She did little to take care of the calluses which I specifically asked her to do. She did not smooth out the sharp edges of the toe nails or even attempt to shape them, like I asked her to do, and she was done within 30 minutes. I also had someone, maybe Rachel, give me a manicure without the polish. She did not take care of the cuticles and just shaped the nails. What a waste of money all the way around. Giving 2 stars because I've came here 2 other times and my nails came out great. However, I just had a terrible experience at this salon and the customer service was literally the worst. I came in on Wednesday and got a gel x set. I called today to let them know that three of my nails had already popped off and three more were lifting--and this was just days after getting them done. The woman on the phone rudely told me I'd have to pay the difference for any nails they redo. That's completely unfair, especially since it clearly wasn't my fault--they were done poorly in the first place. To make matters worse, she tried to schedule me with the same technician who messed them up the first time. Zero accountability, very unprofessional, and absolutely no care for their customers. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values quality or decent customer service. read more

My life is so busy I just go get my nails done when I can. With that said, I definitely have favorite shops, but over the years I've noticed some places are getting sloppy & my gel manicures hurt. I made an appointment same day for 4pm. Unfortunately, my last appointment took longer than expected so I showed up 12 minutes late. I waited about 5-10 min to be seen which isn't too bad. Parking was actually pretty easy! There was plenty of parking in the structure and then a short walk to the salon itself. I was able to get it validated, too! I docked one star off because there was trash at the seating area where the receptionist told me to sit. I took a picture of it and could see the receptionist watch me do so from my periphery. There was also another candy wrapper on the floor. I'm not sure if these big empty wrappers were there all day or if it was left by the kid that was waiting for his mom to get her nails done, but either way- I was not happy to be told to sit next to someone's litter lol. I docked off another star because I had really high expectations of this place based on the Yelp reviews and it really wasn't that special. I wasn't super happy with my nails (they were good enough) even though they had such complex nail art on their Instagram and Yelp pages. I also thought it was a little awkward how they prematurely sat me next to a girl that was getting her set finished up. I wouldn't have mind waiting longer at the bar since I had to wait for the nail tech anyways. They also never offered me a drink (no water or champagne/mimosa) that all the reviews were raving about. I could also tell that it was disorganized as the receptionist had no clue whose bill was whose- he had no idea whose these two bills were for/ if they were paid so as far as I know if you're sneaky you could just walk out of there. All in all, would I come here again? Yes. I thought it was a decent price as I paid $45 for my nails and my nail tech was soooo sweet. Will I still be searching for my go-to salon? Yes. I was referred to this nail salon by a friend of mine who has had nothing but good things to say about it. I called this morning to see if they could accommodate three pedicures an hour later, and they were able to fit us in! When I got there, I was immediately greeted and they had our seats ready to go for us. I love how the pedicure bowl is not your average one that's attached to a massage chair. They have big comfortable chairs to sit in and offer you a complimentary drink before getting started. I ordered a mimosa which was delicious! My nail technician's name was Grace and she did a wonderful job! I told her that I had a blister on my little toe and asked if she could be gentle with it and she was. My whole experience was great! $40 for a deluxe pedicure that is done really well can be hard to come by, but everyone at Retro Nail Bar are true professionals! My mom went here to get a pedicure for the first time and she had the worst experience ever. While the place looks super fancy, the staff underdelivered. The lady that did her pedicure was rough and not receptive of what my mom was telling her about hurting her. The lady hurt her toes with her tools and kept digging even when she was told to stop. When it came time to do the massage, the lady spent 90 seconds doing it, even though my mom asked and was going to pay for the full service. When my mother kindly asked her to massage a little more, the lady argued back and said the massage was only supposed to be quick and short, in such a rude tone.
