    A plain slice

Surf City Pizza is you're typical Jersey Shore Pizza Joint. It has a small indoor dining area, but let's be honest, you're probably picking up, getting delivery, or just grabbing a slice to go anyway. The standard plain slice features a fluffy dough with a crisp base and good structure. The cheese is good, the sauce is slightly bitter with mild acidity. Overall, nothing to complain about.

Stopped in with my business partner to grab lunch, we both had the Garden salad and garlic bread. It was a nice size salad and super fresh. Garlic bread was really good as well. We will stop in next time we are in the area!

Ordered a pizza for pick up. The cheese slid right off the pie! Pizza was doughy. First & last time ordering from here! Very disappointed

My fiancé and I were hungry after lounging around on the beach at LBI and decided to check out Surf City Pizza for lunch, after reading the good reviews for the place. We found street parking easily and though the place was crowded, we also found a table to sit at. It's very very casual. You go up to the counter and place your order and take the pizza back to your picnic - type table. My fiancé and I both got the cheesesteak pizza. We liked it well enough, but it wasn't extraordinary. It tasted a bit old. For a $4 slice of pizza, I expect more. I also got a slice of what looked like a bruschetta pizza (arugula and tomato slices with garlic on top) and liked it well enough, but it didn't have enough sauce (or any at all) and tasted a bit plain for $4. My fiancé got a meatball pizza and was also meh about it. Overall, filling food, but nothing extraordinary and not worth the prices. Service was alright. Quick, but not the friendliest. And their water machine was not working, so we ended up getting a bottle of water to share. In the future, I wouldn't rule out Surf City Pizza, but it certainly wouldn't be my first choice for lunch on the island.

So this was my first summer visiting Lbi Me and my girlfriend made it our mission to look for the the best pizza In town so up and down the strip we went trying all the pizza spots and I have to say surf city was the best! they're crust and sauce is to die for! They're plain slice is the best and freshest but you can't go wrong w a chicken bacon & ranch slice either. The staff is friendly and welcoming they even waited after closing time for us to pick up our pie. I'm here for a week and so far I've been coming in ever day at least twice a day lol

A young girl behind the counter cut the slice in small pieces as she was turning around to bring me the slice 2-3 pieces of the slice fell on the floor, I informed her of this, she looks over at an older woman who was doing the cooking who scowls at me a states in a very angry and indignant tone "what!, do you want me to give you another slice"! I stated" as a matter of fact yes I paid for a WHOLE slice I want what I paid for" she responds by calling me a jerk, I stated "excuse me this is how you treat a customer YOU drop some pieces of the slice I paid for and you are calling me a jerk" she responds to me "get out" I said " ok give me my money back" so she gives me my money back and then gives me the slice any way for free! further another customer, an older man walks in, I am assuming she knew him, she then says to him "this guy is being a jerk" I responded "what's he going to do?" as I was walking out I said "maybe you need to learn how to treat a customer. And again she calls me a jerk. I initially informed the young girl she dropped some pieces of the slice, I did not initially ask for a new slice, if the woman would have been nice and said I can give you a dollar off the price I would have been fine with this or at least responded in a professional manner. I cannot believe this person is in a position dealing with customers. I hope the owner sees this review because he or she needs to fire this person! See the response from the owner which states I called the girl who dropped the pieces careless, this is a lie! I stated "you dropped 2 pieces of the slice" she did not see it when it happened, she made a mistake, I was not rude at all. I certainly did not deserve to be talked to or treated as poorly as you treated me as a customer. And yes, I am a grown man, unlike you I know how to conduct myself. You on the other hand are choosing to deflect and blame others for your ignorant behavior. Further, my review is 100% accurate, I left nothing out, you are lying! normally I would not waste my time writing this in detail however, I thought it was important to let the public know what type person you are and how you treat your customers. Oh, and by the way not to worry, there are plenty of other pizza establishments on LBI rest assured you will never see me in your dump again.

The waiter was caring, friendly, and professional. Secondly, the food was great, and actually even better than the last time. I started my lunch with a cup of their Chicken Tortilla Soup, which had a lightly spicy tomato-based broth infused with loads of shredded white meat chicken and garnished with a few tortilla strips. It was flavorful, comforting, and a perfect vehicle in which to dip their crusty Italian bread. Now the real improvement came from my selected entree. While the Asian Shrimp Salad that I had ordered previously was just mediocre, the Seared Tuna Salad that I got this time was delicious! The plate included mixed greens, sliced avocado, julienne cucumbers, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, and sesame-crusted, sushi-grade tuna, which I ordered seared to a medium rare. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. Cups of wasabi and Asian dressing were served on the side and further infused a tangy heat to the dish. It was colorful, textural, and simply delicious. It was a real winner! Manera's Restaurant provided yet another enjoyable meal with dedicated service in a classy, yet casual, atmosphere.

I don't consume garlic which can be difficult at an Italian restaurant. I had an alternative choice if they couldn't service my first choice, Veal Parm. The owner came over to say "hi" which was nice. It appeared to be"touch" each table with direct communication, nice touch nowadays. Well they were so gracious and were able to make an alternative tomato sauce that was delicious. We were early enough that it was neither noisy nor crammed. Service staff is wonderful. Manners(remember those days when teens had manners), friendly, checking back to make sure everything was good, tended water glasses. I can't wait to go back, we all were able to take left overs, just enough to have a taste again today. The real semolina bread, delish. We are always satisfied with our meals and always have leftovers to take home. All meals come with a small salad and bread with oil with fresh garlic included. You can always add a protein to the pasta, even if it doesn't show on the menu. It's BYOB, so bring your favorite wine and enjoy your dinner!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT COME HERE…read more This was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I've ever experienced in my whole life. I originally had a reservation for 8:00 PM but emailed to change it to 8:30 PM. The restaurant confirmed the change in writing. Later, when I received a text confirmation showing 8:00 PM, I called to verify the reservation time and was told it was 8:30 PM. I called a second time later that day just to be safe and was again told everything was set for 8:30 PM. We arrived at 8:36 PM expecting to be seated for our 8:30 reservation. Instead, owner Fatima Basit immediately told us that our reservation had been canceled because we had missed the 15-minute grace period for an 8:00 PM reservation. I explained that the reservation had been changed to 8:30 PM, that I had received written confirmation of the change, and that I had called twice to verify it. Rather than acknowledging that there may have been a mistake somewhere, she immediately became argumentative and repeatedly questioned whether what I was saying was true. What bothered me most wasn't the reservation mix-up. Mistakes happen. It was the attitude. There was no attempt to understand what had happened, no apology for the confusion, and no effort to find a solution. The conversation became confrontational almost immediately. At one point she aggressively questioned employees in front of us about whether they had spoken to me on the phone. The employees looked visibly uncomfortable, and the whole interaction felt unnecessarily hostile. We had specifically planned our evening around watching the Knicks game there and were really looking forward to it. Instead, we spent the start of the night arguing over a reservation that had been confirmed for 8:30 PM both by email and over the phone. I've been coming to LBI for decades and was excited to support this business. Unfortunately, after the way we were treated, we left and won't be returning. The reservation error itself was frustrating, but the owner's rude, dismissive, and confrontational behavior is what made this experience so disappointing.
