Great pizza HORRIBLE service. Came this evening and ordered 6 slice and a pie. Everything was ordered together. Slices came out in 5 minutes. The pizza after 20 minutes of waiting asked where it was we told still on the way there were tickets in front. Asked to at a minimum get a slice for our 1 year old and 6 year old and was ignored. Threw tickets in my face showing me other pizza that were put in at 6:27 and ours was at 6:31. I explained how he further proved my point as those came out of the oven 5 minutes earlier. He continued to not care and decide to open the public trash is as customers and how wrong we were. A shameful respect for customers. read more

For starters Surf city is always difficult to deal with on the phone. They also disregard any special requests for individual pies. Want a pie extra crispy? NO! They don't do that here. No crunch! Just because they have monopolized the pizza space north of the bridge does not mean they should be rated anything higher than a 4/10. read more

Stop here if you have a group that everyone needs a different topping ij their pizza. So many different slices available at the counter. Something for everyone. We got surf city pizza last weekend and it was pretty good! We ordered a standard cheese pizza and 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 mushroom pizza. It has a small indoor dining area, but let's be honest, you're probably picking up, getting delivery, or just grabbing a slice to go anyway. This is one of the best pizzas on the island. Unfortunately, it is so hard to order other food that we will not be going here again this summer. Maybe not ever. Trying to order there, we parked next to the building but were told they would not take our order unless we called it in. We went back to the car and pulled up the menu online. Ordering from the menu on our cell phone we were told things we read off the menu were not available because they are using a reduced menu due to COVID. That's fine, and common place these days, but this is the only place that I've seen that didn't update the menu online to make ordering easier for their customers. My family are all picky eaters. In trying to order we made some requests for substitutions. Apparently, because of COVID restrictions, only one of these requests was agreed to. I've worked in two pizza places and I know these requests were simple everyday changes. Many pizza places have accommodated these requests since they were allowed to reopen. The person taking the order was clearly not a cook so I asked to speak to one. The person who came onto the phone was rude and basically said that he wouldn't do what we asked. Not sure why there are people who are leaving negative reviews for this place. It hit the spot for us. When we get to the shores, we crave a BEACH PIZZA, and this place made the perfect one. Ready in 15 minutes, and the owner even knocked 18 cents off to make it an even dollar amount. The best part? Next day leftovers! Anyway... perfection in my book. read more

I have to say they have greatly improved in the past few years! We order every year for the past several years on our big family vacation. I highly recommend the grandma Sicilian - the sauce used is flavorful and the crust is crazy and buttery. We got our half pepperoni and miss room and half plain - it was amazing. My fiancé and I were hungry after lounging around on the beach at LBI and decided to check out Surf City Pizza for lunch, after reading the good reviews for the place. We found street parking easily and though the place was crowded, we also found a table to sit at. It's very very casual. You go up to the counter and place your order and take the pizza back to your picnic - type table. My fiancé and I both got the cheesesteak pizza. We liked it well enough, but it wasn't extraordinary. It tasted a bit old. For a $4 slice of pizza, I expect more. I also got a slice of what looked like a bruschetta pizza (arugula and tomato slices with garlic on top) and liked it well enough, but it didn't have enough sauce (or any at all) and tasted a bit plain for $4. My fiancé got a meatball pizza and was also meh about it. Overall, filling food, but nothing extraordinary and not worth the prices. Service was alright. Quick, but not the friendliest. And their water machine was not working, so we ended up getting a bottle of water to share. In the future, I wouldn't rule out Surf City Pizza, but it certainly wouldn't be my first choice for lunch on the island. read more

So this was my first summer visiting Lbi Me and my girlfriend made it our mission to look for the the best pizza In town so up and down the strip we went trying all the pizza spots and I have to say surf city was the best! they're crust and sauce is to die for! They're plain slice is the best and freshest but you can't go wrong w a chicken bacon & ranch slice either. The staff is friendly and welcoming they even waited after closing time for us to pick up our pie. I'm here for a week and so far I've been coming in ever day at least twice a day lol read more

Pretty much nothing was open except this pizza place but wow am I glad I found it! Pizza was absolutely delicious! Totally hit the spot on this cold fall day. Skip the slices that are sitting there and order a fresh pie! It is definitely the way to go! Stopped in for a quick slice while out for a walk with Fido this week. First the good, the pizza wasn't bad. Ordered 2 slices of the Grandmother. They were fresh and tasty although I think it had the wrong cheese for this style of pizza but despite that it wasn't bad. The two stars is for their customer service. I asked for a cup of tap water to offer my dog while we waited for the pizza to be heated. I was told that they didn't have any cups despite the fact that I was standing next to a stack of cups. I get that your trying to make money but as a paying customer I feel this could have been better handled instead of the blatant lie. In better circumstances I would gladly have paid for a cup if they needed but just to lie, just disappointing. read more

My girlfriend asked for a slice of pizza with pineapple toppings and they said they couldn't do it unless it was a whole pie of pizza. They tried giving the Covid excuse but come on you can do a whole pie but not a slice? That's complete laziness. Go to California Grill & Pizza in Beach Haven just down the road. This place was trash and everyone there is completely incompetent. After many issues with placing an order, we finally did. However, when we got there they got the salad wrong and completely omitted the fries we wanted. The owner was rude and aggressive, making fun of us for taking a while to decide (sorry you don't have a menu or a competent ordering system). Then when we told him we had ordered fries, he told us point blank that he didn't care and wouldn't make them for us. Overall the owner was a jackass and the workers were snotty and incompetent. By far the worst pizza place on the island go there on a Saturday night at 7:45 and told the only thing I can have is the pizza that was laying around or a cold sub. Have to give a shout out to this place. Open during the cold winter months when only a few lights can be seen on the Blvd. We've had many tasty pizzas from here. Also enjoyed their hot subs (eggplant parm especially). We've always done takeout but the food is ready promptly and like I said, been a real life saver when nothing else was open. Had a good take out experience during the week but called at 6:58 on a Friday and was told 30-35 minutes, showed up 45 minutes after I called, the place was packed with people waiting for orders, disgustingly hot with no AC, and I was told another 10-20 minutes for my pies to be ready. In addition, one of the boys working behind the counter started yelling at a customer who was understandably upset and simply asked a question about the time and price. Pizza is good. Meatballs and meatball subs are good. Grilled chicken is pretty terrible (don't order that on the salads. It's dry and stringy) Unfortunately, they don't how to treat their customers. This place is a definite must try if you are staying in Surf City! Not only is the pizza great, the pasta and even the wings are excellent as well. The place gets jam packed so best to put in a take out order. However the staff is friendly and helpful and the prices are decent. All have thin crust and could be cooked a tad bit longer, but are still tasty.
