I always love going to Surfas for culinary treats! The selection for cake decorating, baking, cooking, and cookware is like no other! We also love the gourmet food section and the sandwich selection. Today we went for browsing mostly and had a wonderful time! I am feeling so inspired to bake!

This place has everything you need if your a baker, chef, home cook....you name it they have it. From hard to find ingredients to every kitchen tool there is. Everything is well organized and easy to find. Weather you have a professional large scale industrial kitchen or your a home cook you will enjoy just looking at everything they stock. And if you get hungry they have a small Cafe in the back and you can eat on the tables out front. The staff are all knowledgeable so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Even the bathrooms are wonderful...lol. This is always a great place to visit. But keep in mind the prices are a bit high on some things so know your product. Have fun and Bon Appetit....

I really enjoyed my visit to this establishment. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The store is chock full of all manner of cooking supplies, food ingredients, and equipment. The only complaint I have is that they are not closer to where I live in the San Fernando Valley. But then, I might end up spending way more money than I can afford to. I will be back soon to buy the frozen pizza dough; it makes for a great stromboli!

I went to Surfas Culinary District recently. I dined in. I had the Waygu 1/2 lb Burger w/Chipotle Spread and Heirloom Potatoes. I also had a lemonade. The meal was delicious and filling.

I HATE THIS LABEL!! WHY SURFAS WHY?!?

I've been going to Surfas since the 90s. It can't be beat for restaurant supplies and kitchen supplies. But the prices used to be bananas low, now they're barely cheaper than Sur La Table. It used to have chef like people helping you and knowing their stuff. Didn't look like there was much staff at all on hand. The reason I deducted 1 star... I bought a $100 pot and I spent 1 hour removing that stupid label/sticker. WHY SURFAS WHY?!? It's still sticky and now my pot reeks of Goo Gone (kerosine). Me no happy.

My visit to Surfas Culinary District exceeded expectations! I came in for stainless steel pots and pans, leaving with much more. Besides restaurant supplies, they have a great food section with everything from olive oil to chocolates, paste, flour, meat, and sprinkles. I'm a sucker for in-store sampling, and I had the bread and butter--it was amazing! Who knew bread tasted so good? I also sampled Lebanon Honey, which was so delicious that I purchased a jar. We had lunch and sat outside; it was sunny and relaxing. There is plenty of parking - and the customer service was exceptional. This place won't disappoint!" Enjoy Peace/Love Be A Proud American

Surfas is a delightful culinary destination in Los Angeles. We were regular customers at its former location in Culver City, and now we're shopping at this location. Coming here is like visiting a Disneyland for cooks and bakers. You'll find everything from hard-to-find baking supplies and exotic spices to professional-grade cookware. The atmosphere is rather warehouse store, but take your time exploring the shelves and refrigerator case. Associates are very helpful.

This is such a fantastic store if you are looking to upgrade your at home cooking. They have so many great foods that you won't find in any grocery store. The selection is endless, you'll be sure to impress with dinner from here. Prices are a bit high, but considering you won't find these items elsewhere and the quality just can't be beat.variety of cookware, utensils, and appliances available as well. Easy private parking lot and great hours. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for specialty species and specialty kitchen equipment, they have it. The standard kitchen items and gods are pricey.

Great place to get all your cooking needs, from paring knives to pickled eggs. I found a great, made in America spatula for about 7 bucks.

4.5 Yelp Stars *** Stopped by here to pick up coffee before…read morethe long roadtrip home to the Bay Area! This was one of the closer coffee spot with good reviews that I found near the kbbq place (Seogwan by Yellow Cow Kbbq) my family and I ate at for lunch. It was about 0.5miles (3 mins drive). The coffee shop is super large, bright, and has nice background music. There are plenty of seats for people to hang out or study. There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. Overall, both drinks were enjoyable but if I had to choose one, I would go with the orange espresso tonic even though I love mango matcha!

The matcha latte is alright. For the price, I think I'd gravitate toward another café. It was $19…read morefor two matchas...that I didn't think tasted worth the price. Service was standard. If you plan to sit here, there's a one-drink-per-person minimum. The café itself is aesthetic and filled with natural light. The drink has that bitter matcha flavor, which I'm usually okay with, but this one wasn't very smooth. It left an aftertaste that I didn't enjoy.
