Right when we walked in it says go to hostess stand. The entire staff passed us didn't say a word after 5 mins I grabbed a menu to look and then when we go her attention some young brunette with a bad attitude gave us a look like how dare you I'm busy. I'm in the service industry my manager would never condone how she acted because he continued to try to talk to her and she ignored so I called her out. Now I know why no one I've ever met have gone there. You're they're to serve me and at least not be rude. read more

My family and I are frequent customers of Surge.. we've come the past few years with our whole family for New Year's day brunch! Usually always have an awesome experience and it's nothing short of an amazing way to start the new year! Today... was a totally different experience. We sat with our party of 10 at 10:30am. We were immediately greeted by our server (whose name I cannot remember but she was great), we ordered drinks and then ordered food. Almost an hour later...the first round of food came out (4 dishes) and I quickly noticed that my "Vegan Skillet" had BACON in it but it had followed the other modifications I made on the dish. Roughly 17 minutes later our server came back with another 5 dishes. I let her know about the issue with my food, she apologized and said she would have it remade immediately. She was extremely apologetic for the wait, 4 of us at table being very familiar with the industry figured it was most likely poor timing on the kitchen and she let us know she would have the last dish, 3 sides, and my remake back asap. 10 minutes later the final order of pancakes, sides, and my remake came out. As I looked through my re-made Vegan Skillet to assure it was good this time... I found a piece of SAUSAGE in my dish and the modifications I made were not followed. The server accommodated us for the issues with a removal off the bill and we paid and left at 12:30pm. Between the time the first dish was set down at the table and the final person got their food was roughly 30 minutes.. with one of the items being wrong TWICE. As someone who works in the industry... this was horribly unacceptable and even more unfortunate.. our server was apologizing for issues that were out of her control. It would've been nice to see a manager on the floor helping their staff and assisting for hopefully a more seamless service. Nonetheless.. we will not be back next New Year's! read more

This restaurant used to be called 'Eggperience Vasili's' restaurant, which had delicious food at fair prices. Now it is called 'Surge' and I dined there recently, with a friend, for breakfast. I was trying to decide between the 'Lox Benedict' and the 'Bagel Lox.' Lox Benedict = smoked salmon atop an English muffin with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Bagel Lox = smoked salmon on a bagel with red onions, cream cheese, cucumbers, and tomatoes. I decided on the Lox Benedict. What ended up being brought to the table was an English muffin with smoked salmon (correct), cream cheese (incorrect), red onions (incorrect) and tomatoes (incorrect). The kitchen somehow managed to combine the Benedict option with the Bagel option, while simultaneously neglecting to include the eggs **and** the hollandaise sauce! Our server noticed that the hollandaise sauce was missing, and brought some over to the table, which is when she noticed that my Lox Benedict also had no eggs - so she brought some eggs and I had to assemble my own breakfast. By then, most of my food was cold. I ate a bit of it, found it fairly bland, and took the rest home for my dog. So, $17 to assemble my own breakfast with mismatched ingredients. read more

Went here for brunch on a Saturday around 10am. This place was not crowded so I was happy about not waiting :). I rented from Delaware and there was a sign at the front telling me to go to the hostess stand. I went to the first hostess stand and was told to go to the one in the back. Anyway, I love the fact that they leave a pot of coffee at your table so you don't have to flag anyone down. I got the garden skillet with bacon. It was super delicious and highly recommend. My husband and I went here for brunch on a Sunday! The place was busy, but we were able to be seated right away! Super friendly and accommodating staff. They kept the coffee coming, at a great interim. The food is very very good, lots of options. The ambiance is very cozy and nice. Would definitely recommend if you wanted to get out and have a good meal! Nothing fancy, but sometimes that just what you want! read more

The service was slow. There was one waitress. Who never once asked how we were doing or asked how the food was. We ordered the smoothies and paid extra for added alcohol that tasted like there was none when we told the waitress she stated "everyone says that, but there is some in there." The food was simple, dry and not filling to say the least. The bathroom urinals did not work leaving lingering smell of urine in the restroom with a overflow of garbage in the can! read more

Surge has a wide selection of breakfast entrees and a decent lunch menu. The restaurant has a Greek focus and a wide variety. The Greek breakfast was a big hit as was the Spartan omelet. Their cocktail selection is quite good too. Great place for couples or families. We will be coming back for brunch often. read more

We went for a Sunday brunch and had a great meal. The food was delicious. The menu was so extensive it was hard to choose what I wanted. Service was good especially on such a busy day. We weren't rushed through our meal and we had plenty of room for an infant in his car seat carrier. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Ordered take out for lunch today, came back to office with my omelet , toast, potatoes and a chocolate cake for later. Well needles to say, the potatoes looked like they were from yesterday, the cake was so dry it fell apart and you need milk to choke it down, the toast had NO butter. Went of Surge for the 1st time Sunday. Food served looks nothing like pictured in their site. Pancakes were big but very thick & pasty. Hash browns were not browned or crispy, were like baked potatoes cut up. Canadian bacon in this part of the world is peameal bacon, not the slice small tube of ham served. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Toast was cold and unbuttered. We saw our served when order was placed & food delivered. Had to flag busser to have her come with a coffee refill & then only came when we were finished. On top of this a $1 per person was added to the bill to pay their cooks. Needless to say, it was a 1 & done visit as there are too many places that serve a great breakfast. read more

I've been to Surge a few times and the service used to be a lot better. Was there a couple days ago, and had to wait almost ten minutes to be seated. The waitress said she had no clean spoons available to stir my coffee. The waitress also wasn't sure if they had dairy-free creamer, and after she checked she said she couldn't find any. I ordered the falafel open plate (which I've ordered before) and my friend ordered the veggie burger. it took over 40 minutes for our food to come and the waitress apologized and said she'd give us a discount on our food. Once the food finally came, my dish was heaped with cheese. (I've ordered this dish before, and cheese is NOT included in the menu. Even so, I asked for no cheese.) I reminded the waitress that I can't have dairy and she apologized and had it remade. Meanwhile, my friend's food was getting cold, so she ended up eating without me. Our water and coffee cups were empty and the waitress did not refill them until we finally got her attention to ask, and she hurriedly refilled mine without asking my friend, so we had to ask for that too. The waitress forgot my side salad, and I had to ask for dressing for my greens. (The tahini was green and tasted like paste--took one bite and couldn't eat any more.) Once the check was delivered there was no discount offered, so we just paid and left. (It was also my birthday lunch, and my friend was paying--so I didn't want to make a fuss about it.)
