NEVER AGAIN!!!! This…read moreplace is horrible. I gave it another chance, and somehow this experience was even worse than the last one. Once again, there were no rib tips available, and this time it was only 4:00 PM. That alone was frustrating, but what happened next was completely unacceptable. Today, with some hesitation, I took my uncle to Off the Bone for the first time. He wanted ribs, and he did not realize this place was right down the street from him. I told him I would take him there, but I warned him that this restaurant is very hit-or-miss because they often do not have the food you actually want. Unfortunately, today proved my point. Not only were there still no rib tips, but because of his health, my uncle did not want to travel farther just to find some. So we settled for ribs instead. Trying to stay positive, I ordered 2 rib dinners and 4 slices of cake. I specifically requested sweet barbecue sauce only, because neither my uncle nor I eat mustard. Of course, when the food came out, the ribs had a mix of sweet sauce and mustard sauce on them. I was told it was "some other sauce," but it was absolutely not what I asked for. I immediately asked the young man to take it back because I do not eat mustard and that was not my order. A few minutes later, he brought the food back. In the same container, they had simply poured more red sweet sauce over the food that already had mustard sauce on it. I was shocked. At that point, I immediately asked for my money back. He said, "Give me a minute," walked away, and then came back again, not with a refund, but with the same food in the same container. This time, it looked like they had tried to wipe the sauce off and put new sauce on the same ribs again. Who does that? By then, I told the young man I was getting very upset and that I only wanted my money back. Again, he walked away and came back, but still did not refund me. Instead, he brought out another rib dinner. This time it appeared to be a fresh plate, but with even less meat than before. My uncle looked at me and just shook his head. By then, he had already started eating his ribs with the mustard and sweet sauce mixed together just to keep the peace. Rather than continue arguing in front of him, I accepted the replacement plate and sat down to eat with him. The young man then asked me if I was okay, and I told him plainly: No, I am not okay. I explained to him that I am also a business owner, and this is not how customers should be treated. I also made it clear that I would be posting this review. I paid over $55, and this is how I was handled. To make matters worse, I had forgotten to tip the young man when I first ordered, so afterward I bought 2 bottles of water specifically so I could leave him a $10 tip. Looking back, after the way this situation was handled, keeping that tip felt like an insult. When we walked out, I said, "Never again." My uncle immediately said, "Never again too." Bringing me back the same food three times was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about food quality and proper handling. Refusing my refund twice was poor customer service. And after everything that happened, keeping my $10 tip felt like a complete slap in the face. Like I said before: DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

This is a super unassuming bbq spot hidden in a strip mall…read more We ordered 1/3 lb brisket and 1/3 lb pulled pork. It was way more than enough for the two to us! For sides we got Mac n cheese and collard greens. A Cornbread muffin. And a Mixed berry Cobbler for dessert. Everything was truly outstanding. That brisket was so good. Loved the sauces at the table which were fun to try the different options and complemented the pulled pork really nicely. Was really pleasantly surprised by the staff. A bunch of young men working - teenagers would be my guess - and they couldn't have been kinder!

Didn't notice on DDD that you got in line to order, get, and pay but very efficient. Limited seating and half of it is communal seating at big tables. Usually fun though. Food is off a limited menu (and baby backs Saturday only) but every item was excellent. Burnt ends were so tender and very tasty. Brisket was awesome. Our dinner companion had the BBQ sandwich with enough BBQ "stew" for 3 buns and he loved it. Cole slaw different from any I've had before but delicious. Think your first corn muffin comes with your meal. Our best decision was getting extra to take home. Breakfast muffin with coffee was a big NEVS bonus (ask for 2 butters. Entree meats sold by weight. Didn't see any scales and pretty sure my 1/2 pound Brisket was overweight as were the burnt ends. Good place to share and they offer you a sharing tray. Free drink refills!! Fun atmosphere, good country music, 3 delicious sauces. No complaints. Enjoy.

This was my first time trying a hot pot place around here (I had only been to one before in…read moreOrlando), so I was really excited to find one close to home, and it ended up being such a good experience. One thing I really liked is that you're not limited to just one option, you can do hot pot, BBQ, or both, which makes it way more fun if you want to try a bit of everything. The variety is honestly insane. They have all kinds of meats like beef, lamb, pork, and chicken with different cuts (including thinly sliced and pork belly), plus seafood like shrimp, clams, crab legs, and even octopus. They also have things like tofu, mushrooms (a lot of different kinds), corn, eggs, kimchi, edamame, and even frog legs. There are also plenty of sides and extras like noodles, fried rice, and a bunch of desserts. They had fruit like oranges and pineapple, plus little cakes that reminded me of Korean/Japanese desserts. I think they also had seaweed salad. The sauce station is really good too, you can make your own sauces with a bunch of options like peanut sauce, chili powder, garlic, soy sauce, scallions, and more. For drinks, they have pretty much everything. Sodas, alcohol (beer, wine, sake, soju), and also things like fruit teas and bubble tea (I saw flavors like Thai milk tea and others). You also get to choose your soup base for hot pot, which is really nice. They had options like miso, tomato, herbal, and spicy (Szechuan). The place itself is clean, including the bathrooms, and the atmosphere is really nice. The server I had was super attentive and friendly too.

The servers are attentive, and so is the receptionist. The Cat Server was a funny and interesting surprise. The food is good -- we tried the mushroom, tomato, and pork bone soups, and all three were very good. We will definitely come back.

We've been missing this kind appetizer and sit-down Chinese food in the area for a very long time. Our dinner was delicious. I went with the Pork Lo Mein with an egg roll. It was tasty and the Lo Mein was rich with flavor and nicely seasoned. My gal had the sweet and sour chicken with a vegetable roll. Same experience, the flavors were excellent and we were both pleased with our dinners. I am happy to have a great place for Chinese food. It's been a long time since we've had a local spot and this is definitely my new place. Well, here's the nutty side of the story; we ordered delivery the next night since we had some family over. We tried completely different dishes and had the same experience: everyone was blown away by the flavors and looks of the food. We all enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to going in person as soon as possible.

Pirate's well - New owners/management…read more Choose wisely if you are expecting a delicious and quality meal that was once provided by the prior ownership. It is not the case anymore. We were there recently. When I tell you that the food was mediocre, that's actually a compliment. My household have been regular patrons for well over 10 years. We enjoyed the overall experience during that time. Food, customer service, and great happy hour. Until.... today. The food was basically cafeteria quality. Black beans that taste like straight vinegar. A smothered chicken breast topped with two melted slices of cheese. Coleslaw that was sour. Fish that was dry. I can go on and on. What failed here?? New owners hiring terrible kitchen staff with subpar experience. The essence of a bar/restaurant is a competent and experienced kitchen and bar staff. When you don't have that, what happens next?? Very unhappy patrons. This negative experience, in turn, trickles down to the wait staff who are NOT at fault for what is executed from the kitchen. They work with the tools that are provided to them. As unhappy patrons, naturally, you want to blame the operation as a whole. However, is it really the fault of each and every employee. Not completely. They are providing a service with inexperienced staff and poor food-quality/service from the owners. To add to their stress, they're dealing with much flack from regular locals who have provided business to this establishment and have noticed the extreme changes. None of it good. To add, I will say though, there is a way to professionally approach patrons who choose to not leave tips. Tips are completely optional. If someone chooses to not leave one, to publicly shame them in front of others is 100 % unacceptable. It shows a lack of management skills and is in bad taste overall. Don't take it personally. Move on and learn. You're suppose to set a positive example for your establishment. Pirate's well has been part of our vocabulary whenever we wanted to enjoy good food and service. In addition, tipping 20% and above. Unfortunately, that won't be the case any longer. Hopefully, enough people will start to provide constructive criticism and they get their act together. Until then, tread lightly with this new management. It's not very good at all.
