The food here is absolutely delicious! I can describe it as a sushi style Chipotle. You can create your own burrito, bowls, or pick among established favorites including rolls. Honestly overall one of the best sushi experiences I've ever had but I do have to dink it down when it comes to the pricing. The base rates are a bit pricy but where it hurts is they charge for a lot of add ons that one would think would not incur an additional charge (like raw salmon/tuna) so towards the end you'll see yourself spending almost $20 for your created product. I have to say that I am still amazed at how busy this part of Orlando has grown. It seems not too long ago that this area was a whole lot of nothingness and now it is way too busy. So be prepared to encounter some traffic encounter to this Sus Hi Eatstation. What this place is known for are their poke bowls. If you are unfamiliar with this concept, think something along the lines of a Chipotle, but with sushi as the primary protein. I know it might sound a bit strange to those unfamiliar with it, but trust me, it is pretty amazing. Like I said, the ordering process is similar to a Chipotle. You build your meal with a base, protein and various toppings. I usually mix up the proteins, I usually get the ability tuna, spicy tuna and maybe the spicy salmon. I used to frequent the location close to UCF quite often during my college years, dating back to when the restaurant would offer you $1 off your bowl if you got all grilled chicken. Unfortunately that was many moons ago, and now no discounts are offered for getting all chicken. Instead, there is an up charge for steak or other kinds of meat. I decided to have Sus Hi for dinner the other day and was pleased to see that they were offering a deal where if you downloaded the app, you'd receive 50% off your bowl, so naturally that's just what I did. I love Sus Hi for how many different topping ingredients and meats there are to choose from, along with lots of types of sauces. When you do have the 50% off coupon to use, your meal comes out to quite a reasonable price, but when you've already used the coupon and are paying full price, bowls here can tend to be a bit pricey. read more

This is a great place and I make sure to make a stop here whenever I'm nearby. This is located conveniently on Narcoossee Road. There's plenty to choose from off their menu, especially if you're looking to eat something a little different from what you're use to. They have rice bowls, sushi rolls, sushi burritos which you can customize to however you like. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful at this location. Depending on the rice bowl size you choose you can get a certain number of proteins to choose from. I usually go for the small bowl as this is more than enough for me as a lunch meal. My bowl consisted of the proteins grilled chicken and chicken tempura. For toppings, I ordered carrots, cucumber, tempura flakes, edamame beans and chili powder. It's a satisfying meal especially for lunch. If you want enough for dinner I suggest the regular sized bowl. Next time I plan on trying out the sushi burrito and the edamame dumplings. Today was unfortunate. I despise leaving bad reviews on businesses, especially small businesses during times like these, but there has been a continuous trend in Sus Hi's customer service. The food will always hold five stars in my heart, but I will no longer participate in giving them business. I placed an online order that said it would be ready at 12:15 pm. Online THEIR WEBSITE (not third party) said they were open at 12 so that was the first option they had available. I go in at 12:15 and get stared at for 5 min before a worker came out and said they open at 1.... She then proceeded to tell me I can wait 45 min and they will make my food at that time. Uhm. She also said the hours online clearly say 1 pm, treating me like I was some kind of idiot. No apology, or any way to say they can try to get it ready earlier. Going back was not an option as I lived 30 min away (I'm not driving an hours worth of time to be treated poorly). To continuously see bad customer service is a business model and poor standards as a company. There's far more options in Orlando. read more

Beyond the sus naming of the restaurant are some wonderful fresh sushi bowl and burrito! The restaurant is a chain and follows the same format as Chipotle with a counter style, choose your own sushi option, made fresh to order. The tables are well spread out for COVID protection and they used a touchscreen to order to further limit COVID spread for both the employees and customers which I appreciate. We got a large custom sushi bowl which let us choose five different types of meat, and 20(!!) toppings. The choices are expansive including the usual like tuna, salmon, shrimp tempura, edamame, carrots,...etc. The choices can be quite overwhelming for the indecisive so I would recommend the preselect bowls if you are short on time. One irking thing is that while other similar restaurants have 2-3 things that cost more money (like guac), this restaurant has about 20% of their menu on the custom bowl that cost more including a good portion of the meat beyond vegetarian options. Our large bowl ended up costing $20 w/ tip. However, the food tasted fresh, the sauce was nice and tangy, and the customization made sure that every bite was different which kept things interesting! TLDR; Chipotle of sushi bowls & burritos. Ingredients are fresh, tasted great but has many extra costing item that will increase the advertised price. read more

I was recommended this place for dinner by a friend. It is a create-your-own sushi quick service place. They have various bowl sizes, burritos and rolls to choose from. Then there is a buffet of options to put in your chosen meal. Most options are two proteins or more. The best bang for your buck is a burrito because they are HUGE! Next would be the bowls, then a roll being the smallest and the least bang for your buck. You can have as many toppings/fillings as you would like as well as many sauces you want to try. I recommend getting your sauces on the side so you can try them first. I liked the spicy crab and tuna in my bowl, and my friend enjoyed her shrimp tempura in her roll. We also got a side of dumplings which we're good as well. The workers were attentive and helpful as we were new to the place. I appreciated their guidance and suggestions. They had some funny quirks and chants as required by the job...such as calling us ninjas when we walked in the door, or yelling fire! when they were melting cheese by blow torch. Overall impression: I'm sure this place could be great someday but I've had two out of three bad customer service experiences. The food itself is ok. Just going to summarize the experiences as there's enough info in other reviews about prices and other things. 1. Came in on 4/20 where they had this deal on some of the bowls. We were going to order the seaweed salad and then they told us it didn't come part of the deal and made it seem like it was obvious on the sign (it wasn't). Then when we are getting our items, one server said "here, I'll just give it to you for free" which was great except that when we got to the register the person checking us out told us it wasn't free and proceeded to lecture us about the sign again despite us telling her that the other server just gave it to us for free. It took awhile to get that sorted out. 2. Ordered a bowl to go. Basically four things wrong happened: -gave us spoiled cabbage (it was literally smelly and the purple was turning brown) -gave us the wrong sauce -forgot to give us the ginger -charged us for the wrong item (ended up being in our favor because it was cheaper but kind of shows incompetence) Overall, I feel like it might just be a natural part of the process to mess up orders because there are so many different varieties and things to choose from that it's hard for the servers to get everything straight, so I can't really blame them. read more

Visited this establishment on Saturday 01/30/2021 to celebrate my nephew's, Jordan, 20th birthday. The place is not that big, but it's nicely done with plenty of tables and 2 seaters. The place is on a small plaza with lots of parking spaces. You make a like and order your food. You can build your own: burrito, sushi, bowl, etc however you want it.
