This is one of my go to spots downtown for lunch. I usually order to-go before or after the lunch rush through the app or online. The food is good - I usually order their miso, sushi or their chicken katsu curry. They have decent specials worth checking out. It's a chill atmosphere outside of lunch hours. Overall it's a solid place. They offer a variety of food at a decent price. There's a manager there that is hands on and attentive - big shoutout to him as well as the staff there. The food was decent, the egg rolls were hot I do wish the main meal (orange chicken) was a bit hotter. Plus side the food came out fairly quick! And since I was by work it was a plus. I do have to say the service it self like to order was very slow. My party and I were standing at the counter for quite some time before being helped. I could tell they were not staffed which I totally understand but just putting it out there. And with that being said there were a few tables that still had plates and not cleaned from previous parties. The bathroom was not cleaned at all. So I would recommend order and take out. I feel like if they had more staff this wouldn't really be an issue. read more

I eat here when I'm downtown pretty often. It's also my go-to for delivery sushi, mainly because they seem to get the order right more often than not. The sushi is quick service level sushi. It is just above super market, however that is reflected in the price. $8-$10 for a classic 8 piece roll in Orlando is a steal. I have been going to bento for years but recently my last experience will make me want to come back to the DT location more often . We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef was more than accommodating . I told him my bf was not a sushi lover and he took it as a challenge and made us a sushi type sandwhich to try it was amazing and my bf loved it . I visit downtown Orlando from New York and WISH we had Bento where I live! I always opt for the hibachi bowl with steak and extra yum yum sauce. I will say two things about this Bento location. 1. Their takeout is about the worse thing I have ever seen. I waited a full 30 minutes longer than I was told it would be for my takeout order. But, that actually holds true for all three Bento locations I've ever done takeout at. So, a word of advice, if you're ordering takeout from a Bento, tell them you want to pick up the food 30 minutes before you actually want it. I'm not kidding. 2. Once you finally get your food, Bento has the best quick service sushi in the entire Central Florida area. I do not remember what rolls I got that day, but you can check the picture to see how bright and vibrant they look. All of the seafood tasted fresh and had a good texture. The sauces and herbs they used were not too much, and complemented flavors well. And the little crunchy things they put on that one roll were genius. Sushi roll's biggest lacking sometimes is texture, so these flavorless little balls of crunch were perfect. Overall, four stars is the perfect way to describe this place. A great spot for sushi. It has a casual vibe to it and is perfect if you're looking for a quick bite to eat before going downtown. They offer sushi, poke bowls, stir fry and noodles dishes. My go-to is the sushi however I've tried the poke bowls and the teriyaki chicken dish. All were a hit. The food is pretty consistent among all of the bento locations. The fish is fresh. The servers are nice and helpful. They are knowledgeable of the menu and a happy to make recommendations. I went with a couple friends and they didn't really know what to get the server at the front was very helpful with making selections. It is a small location so I'm sure it does get busy at times. We went at around 8:00 p.m. so there wasn't many people there. We had about a 15 minute wait for our food. When we went the women's restroom was closed so they were down to one toilet. I made a big fuss about my sushi order which I thought took so long. It felt long because my husband and I were catching a show. Since I couldn't make it in time if I finished the 2 sushi rolls I ordered, I requested to put one in their frig for me to come back for after the show. Christian and Show, the sushi chef were very kind and made me a new fresh sushi and even gave me a complimentary salad and was even offering me soup. Fried rice was very good as was the chicken katsu. No traditional katsu sauce though, which I really miss. The white rice for the poke' bowl is a sushi rice which is quite vinegar-y, not expecting that was the only let down. read more

And there were so many options within those options. I truly could customize it however I wanted and make it healthy for my eating style. My bowl was fresh and very yummy. I will say though, for the price, I thought the portion was very small. I got double salad as my base, and I could have sworn it looked like a single portion. I only got two pieces of cucumber and one slice of ginger, and they completely forgot my edamame. The fish pieces were pretty big but very few and far between. Mmm Bento! This is by far my favorite Bento locations throughout Central Florida. Came into the restaurant and our order was taken immediately. The staff was very attentive and busy! The establishment is clean but a little too crowded with furniture that it was an obstacle to get to the restrooms. Our order was taken, we sat down and our food took maybe about 20 minutes to come to the table. I don't mind the wait for food because that's an indicator that they're making it fresh. I ordered the chicken katsu Japanese curry, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken garlic broccoli noodles. The food was piping hot and so delicious! Definitely a place you should eat at when you're around town. The menu seems a lot simpler than other places, and I'm glad. When we asked where we could get napkins, she curtly pointed to the back area by the soda machine. Consistent and a downtown Orlando lunch staple. Since I switched jobs to an office downtown, Bento has become a regular spot for me to grab a quick, affordable bite to eat. FOOD: Japanese/Asian cuisine. I usually order off their sushi menu, but in the event I am not feeling like it, I know their restaurant-side food is still good. Bento offers a wide variety of food. Their menu has two sides to it! If anything, their food is also very consistent and rarely do I have issues with the order itself. ATMOSPHERE: Fast casual. I wouldn't come to Bento for an intimate date, especially during the lunch hour where the line stretches through the dining area. You order and grab a table before the servers bring you your food. SERVICE: It is usually good, but every once in a while, I get someone who is completely clueless (so I chalk it up to them being new) or just apathetic about getting the orders brought to you timely. For example, a friend, who had ordered before me, got their meal after me because the server running the food did not check the window. Our sauces came out wrong too, but thankfully, that was an easy fix. Like I said, I come here pretty frequently, so Bento, please don't change.
