The sushi here is fine but nothing to write home about. Between the challenge he's of parking and the slow service we all agreed we wouldn't go back. I had several sake shots during happy hour. And those were delicious! Highly recommend the mango and the coconut. I ordered the dragon roll with tuna, again, nothing special. But there was nothing wrong with it. It was just ordinary. Unfortunately we went on a day where the NBA was playing and there was only one person working the bar and serving all the tables. The slow service was definitely not her fault. And she was super nice about it. If I was in the area I probably would only if we were drinking because the sake shots were really good. read more

A new sushi and handroll spot opened up??! Of course I had to check it out! I went with a few friends before a Fringe show upstairs. The host stand was downstairs and outside. There was a doorman or either another host who opened the door for me. The restaurant was dimly lit, with blue lights around. There was a fun photo op on the right hand side with a large sushi bite on the wall which I had fun taking pictures in front of. I ordered a few hand rolls and my friends got the sushi. Absolutely amazing experience at the BluWave Sushi restaurant last week. The food was stellar and our server, Gabriella, absolutely made our night. Her bubbly personality, and the recommendations she gave us elevated what would have just been another night out into an amazing experience in Orlando. Definitely try and get seated in Gabriella's section if you want to have an energetic and fun experience. We had drinks, ChuToro, Unagi, and a few other items. Good sushi. Friendly staff. Solid spot downtown for affordable sushi. Tried the takoyaki for the first time and didn't care for it. Another downtown Orlando restaurant, formerly Amura in the Sun Trust Building. We came here for a co-worker's goodbye lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor has changed since the last time we were here. The spot is fairly new and I'm all for it! The restaurant is extremely elegant and definitely gives a date night or girls night out vibe. The service here was amazing with the waitress being extremely kind, explaining the menu to us and giving her personal recommendations and a little bit of backstory with each plate . I stopped in here for appetizers and to give the signature cocktail, the sea dragon a try. The sea dragon cocktail was extremely refreshing and a lovely introduction to the menu. My guest and I came in here for small bites and a drink. We got the edamame and the crab Rangoons. The edamame was flavorful and buttery ! It was steamed and salted to perfection! The crab Rangoon were amazing ! They're made with real crab meat and had an excellent mixture of fillings. I would definitely come back here just for the appetizers, but I definitely intend to come back to give the full menu a try! If you love, coffee and ice cream, you definitely need to give the Vietnamese coffee ice cream a try! The flavor of Vietnamese, coffee, but the creamy of a homemade ice cream ! I got the volcano roll and enjoyed it, the tempura cheesecake was good minus the red shaved ice part, that part was too sweet and didn't balance the blue icecream and cheesecake. So I have to say this sushi restaurant is super cute. They have an adorable area for a fun photo opp. The staff was very friendly and super helpful when asking about menu options. The food itself was absolutely delicious and very fresh. The apple Crisp was such an interesting spin instead of having a traditional rice roll. However, the prices were quite high especially for lunch for 6 small pieces. My hope is that they come up with a lunch menu in the future to compete with several of the other restaurants in the area. read more

I'm so glad we were downtown and went to a comedy show which ended up having us find this little hidden gem. They're new to the area and I'm sure this will be the first of many visits. The hand rolls had a really nice amount of ingredients and the fish tasted really fresh. I was surprised to see they had bluefin and had to get a couple pieces. The Otoro quite literally melted in my mouth. If you haven't had it before, I highly recommend trying it here. They have it for a great price. We were seated almost immediately and our server was quick and very friendly. He explained that they had only opened a month prior and different parts of the menu. Inside is Instagram worthy. If you're coming here with the girls, I'd recommend dressing up so you can get some really cute shots. I love the way the sushi bar lights up and it gives a really cool vibe. If you're in the area and looking to get a couple hand rolls, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The food was good - but incorrect. The service was really bad - part of this was a language barrier but there were other employees that could have helped and did not. I would not recommend for lunch because it takes forever. So many mistakes and confusion with our order. This was our second try for lunch. I won't be going back because I only get an hour. They did upgrade my tuna because of all of the mistakes but it took so long to get it I couldn't enjoy it. read more

Food was nothing special, especially for that price point. Fish doesn't taste all that fresh and despite there being 10 pieces for some of your traditional makis, portions were still pretty small. Service is also extremely slow.
