Sus-Hi had a very intriguing menu though I left quiet disappointed. I ordered sushi with mac and cheese, the mac and cheese had shredded cheese lazily melted onto it (which didn't taste great) and the sushi's proportions were all over the place, my roll had a massive chunk of avocado that was unwarranted. The rice was incredibly bland as well. The service wasn't amazing. I had ordered my meal as dine-in but was given my food in to-go packaging, which hurt the presentation and feel quite a bit. Another guest had ordered noodles and thought they were warm (which apparently all noodles here are chilled? That isn't obviously portrayed on the menu and honestly should be plastered elsewhere, people wouldn't naturally expect that.) and the employees here were pretty rude to the guest, tho eventually offered to microwave his food. I did not enjoy the sushi or mac and cheese here. While the price was fair for what I received, I'd rather get my sushi from Publix, which I feel is kind of an insult to a sushi-specialized place such as this. read more

I stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. This location is in a plaza with a decent amount of parking. The restaurant itself is not huge inside but has high ceilings. When you order, you order on screens near the front counter. I ordered the chicken bowl with a drink. I grabbed a table near the front and took in the cute photo op wall near the door. The food was brought out to our table. My bowl was decent. I was disappointed in the very few amount of pieces of chicken in the bowl. I had lots of toppings and not nearly enough chicken to go with it. It tasted fresh. I needed to go up to the counter to ask for a lid to take it to go and the staff was very cold to me. I probably would give this closer to a 4 but not quite. We don't go to this location normally, and I probably won't go back. I enjoy the Lake Nona location better. The inside of this location just feels bare bones in a way that reads lack of care rather than minimalist. The bowls are always huge, be prepared to take some home. I did have the new tempura chicken bowl and I really liked that, but we also ordered egg rolls and when I bit into the first one grease started pouring out the bottom, and not just a little, more than a tablespoon! We went to the metro west location and I'm so disappointed the business model has completely shifted. Only ordering at the machine? The charm and fun of sus hi eatstation came from their business model of ordering at the counter and watching the staff engage and customize your order. I haven't been to Sus Hi Eatstation in quite a while. This was actually only my second time visiting. My son and I were greeted once we got to the order station. I browsed through the menu and decided on a salad with teriyaki tofu. My son ordered a spicy steak mac and cheese crunch burrito and beignets with cinnamon sugar. As we waited for the food, we took in the drawings and writings on the wall near where we sat. The drawings feature ninjas and some inspirational quotes. As we were waiting, I noticed a family who came in after we ordered get a bag of food. I thought that it was unusual because we did order before they did. The gentleman approached us and asked us if we ordered food to-go. He had opened one of the boxes and realized it wasn't their food. Once we got home, we dug in. My salad was generous and tasted good. The spicy steak mac and cheese crunch burrito was delicious. My son also enjoyed the beignets. He ate most of those before he even ate the burrito. Wow this thing was HUGE! I couldn't not eat all of my half of the burrito. It was very good and loved the flavor! We also loved the Cheetos they coated on the burrito after deep frying it. Full of flavor and definitely recommend you try this burrito. It's definitely big enough to share. As far as the restaurant itself; we noticed it needed a little cleaning done around the eating area and restrooms. We took our dinner with us and didn't eat it there. At another location I had a great experience however this is barely 1 stars at this one. The same roll I've gotten before, their signature roll for $17+ was only 4 pieces. It was so wide, I figured it would make up for it. WRONG, there was hardly any fish on the inside. It was 90% rice, small amounts of the fish and way too much cream cheese. It completely fell apart every bite m, to the point I wasted one of the end pieces because there was 0 fish in it at all and completely crumbled onto the floor. It's like they cover it in spicy crab thinking you won't notice. The crab Rangoon had 0 crab or imitation crab it was just a cream cheese Rangoon, and for the price I would expect more than 4 small ones, they look nothing like the photos or the previous ones I've received from this chain. Sus-Hi has always been a favorite of mine, and when I was student at UCF I remember that there was only 1 dojo In Orlando. I am glad to see that the restaurant has expanded to other locations in Orange County and hope to one day see them expand to other areas in Florida. I came in and was amazed on how they staff are super friendly and will greet you and dismiss you in a very ninja fashion which bring character to the dojo. I knew to order the krab ragoons as they have been a favorite of mine, but I didn't know what bowl to get (it's been a while) so I looked at the the menu and saw Party in My Mouth Bowl being featured as a popular item. I know I had to try it so I order one. What was different than what I had remember is that once you place your order you are to take a seat, I used to be able to tell the ninja what I wanted and see my bowl get created in front of me, but with the restaurant being digital that's no longer the case. The bowl was delicious! And it definitely was a party in my mouth. I liked the crunchiness of the tempura chicken and the sweetness of the avocado. The staff is always attentive and friendly enough. I am not very adventurous when it comes to my sushi selections so I stick with the basics. They hand roll a great California fresh. The star of the show for me are the Krab Rangoons. I am addicted to the flavor. I prefer a more wide shape but their flat Rangoon is tastier than any other I have had. The restaurant is quaint and cool. They have a variety of Asian drinks and they sell shirts. Though I hate Pepsi, I love their other fountain drink options too. They have quite a lot of sitting; they have seven tables and then they have a hightop. They have a really pretty mural and they have a little wall with a cute photo op. After work I decided I wanted to try something new I had not had before. I remembered that Sus Hi had a fried sushi burrito which I never had. So I scheduled a pick up order and arrived at the location which was very clean and service was helpful. The attendant notified me that my original order was missing an item, which I was ok with (I had wanted a fiery hot Cheetos fried burrito, they were out of Cheetos and fried it normal instead). Let's start by saying this burrito was way bigger than I expected and lasted 2 meals. This alone made it worth the price! The flavor combination was good but if you want spicy which I wanted , this was not spicy at all. Even with their added sauces it has no spice so I used my own teriyaki hot sauce. I needed a quick bite to eat before a gig I was in town for, but I didn't have time to go anywhere. UberEats to the rescue! I should start off by saying I am a snob when it comes to poke bowls, as I make them at home all the time, and mine are amazing. Yes I'm very humble - ha. They had a great selection of ingredient choices, and sauces, so I thought, why not give it a try? The bowl arrived fresh and fast, and overall I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients. I got a bowl with fire salmon, spicy crab, shrimp tempura, avocado, mango, pickled carrots, and a slew of other ingredients. The sauces didn't really do much for me (the Triple x and sweet soy). I just added spicy mayo and a little gluten free soy to the bowl and it was perfect. I'm deducting a star as I paid for a $2.25 upcharge for seaweed salad, and they never put any in there, BUT, I did save a big chunk of change with my coupon, so I didn't sweat it too much. Otherwise, it would have been a pretty pricey bowl and I wouldn't have been too happy. I would absolutely try this place again, preferably in person. read more

However, I tried the chik roll a roll without sesame seeds, tempura flakes, & cucumbers and it was really good. The teriyaki sauce really adds the needed flavor. The portion size is great as well. I had a custom made deep fried sushi burrito ($12 ish-- had to pay $2 for a deep frying option). I like that the store is pretty much self service..so you can just walk up to a tablet and spend time picking and customize your food to however you like. The food portion for a fried burrito was actually quite big. It could be 1.5-2 meals for me. The ingredients seemed fresh and I liked that they gave you a few sauces to eat it with, too. There were a few things I didn't like. 1. Service was slow (like any other places...they were short-staffed due to COVID) and 2. the customization can really add up if you aren't careful with what you are adding/picking.
