10/10, I absolutely love the fusion of the food here. I'm a die hard fan of sushi + sweet plantain combo. The place is very delicious and I definitely encourage to try it!

The Latin-Asian fusion food here is SO GOOD and unique. Got the ropa vieja bowl with the sushi combo that has chicken, steak and salami. Everything was great but the stand-outs were the steak sushi and chicken sushi. I will be coming back here to have them again. Our server was also very nice and attentive. I liked the decor and vibe of the place as well. Overall would recommend this restaurant for a visit.

Stumbled on this quaint restaurant in a strip plaza just outside the Florida Mall. What a gem! I can't wait to return. Latin-Asian fusion is the cuisine and they did it right! That Bori bowl was the highlight for me and oddly my 5 year old. The flavors of sweet plantains with the avocado and the mix of salmon and tuna...chef's kiss! The teriyaki bowl was also delicious and a great portion size. The icing on the cake is how reasonably priced the entrees and appetizers were. I would definitely return and would recommend!

This place is a wonderful hidden gem located right next to Florida Mall. The flavors are exquisite, blending traditional sushi style, with infusions of Latin-inspired flavorings. It can get cold in here sometimes, so bring a sweater. But the dim lights and cool music always draws us back to this place. The main dining room isn't terribly large, so it's easy for the servers to observe you from wherever, and they are pretty polite when they visit the table.

With cute led signs, soft interior, and great staff, this spot surpassed expectations. We got two rolls (3 Golpes and Pa' Que Retozen) and salmon garlic rice. We were craving Puerto Rican sushi and got exactly that. Everything was absolutely delicious and filling!

Maguro has been a favorite local spot of mine for years; I even remember when they had a location prior to this one. Food and service is always fantastic. Comfortable space with a cozy atmosphere. There's other latin-Asian fusion restaurants around town, but Maguro pioneered this take on food in Orlando. Their ropa vieja bao buns are top notch, always fluffy and never soggy. Our tried and true sushi roll picks are the jibaro soy and pa'bravo yo (obsessed with the cilantro aioli). They're absolutely delicious and never fail to win people over who aren't sushi lovers. We always start our meal with the boricrab salad. Truthfully, you can never go wrong with a meal at Maguro Sushi and I will always come back for more.

The only thing that saves this review from being a one star, is the food. The food, for the most part, is amazing. We got a sushi combo and all 5 rolls were absolutely fantastic. The birria dumplings were also good. The friend rice we got, I could skip next time. So why the low rating? The service... prior to arriving I called to verify if they were pet friendly. They said they were so we came here to eat. Once we arrived the restaurant was pretty much empty (only 3 tables sat). I came with a party of 5 and a small dog. We were told to wait and took approximately 10 minutes to be sat in a restaurant that was pretty much empty..... then the server tells us that we can't have the dog, to which I explained I literally just called and asked and that's why we came.. our server then proceeded to take another 5 minutes to bring us water and when I tried to order she just walked away. approximately 12 minutes (starving) later our server came over and took our order. A couple that came after us, was sat and with drinks before our order was taken. Once our food came out the fried rice was missing the egg and no soy sauce, wasabi or ginger was offered to us. We had to request these items as well as highlight the missing egg. Overall the food was great, but service needs a lot of improvement

I have always wanted to try this place and went yesterday for the 1st time. The service was amazing and the ambiance as well. The food was so good and flavorful. The ropa vieja egg roll was so good. The rice was packed with flavor. Great concept and the execution was there. I look forward to going back.

Great restaurant that we stumbled upon in the plaza. A few dishes could use just a slight tweet a little sweetness to the roof VA. A little salt to the chicken Katsu. But overall, we had an amazing experience and loved the fusion.

This was an ideal spot for a date night. Great atmosphere and the colors and theme for Valentine's Day weekend was amazing and unique. We have been waiting to visit this place for over a year and I'm so happy we decided to stop in! Our wait time to sit was pretty quick, but they were pretty short staffed so it took some time to get served. It started with our drinks which was la Guaynabita and the guayacol. Both delicious and sweet cocktails infused with lychee and the other with coconut. Paired that with Salmon and Chicken Bao Buns, and two sushi rolls. Rolls were delicious and both were a beautiful display. We ordered the El Noche in Miami which is a mango and avocado infused roll and the Fuego en el 23 which has spicy tuna and avocado. Parking lot is limited , so be prepared if you decided to stop in!

I ordered to go and it was absolutely delicious. The bori box is a great deal and the ropa vieja egg roll was amazing. The service was really nice and the restaurant is cute too. I recommend.

I was so impressed by every single item I tried here. The avocado miso soup is so unique and flavorful. Definitely recommend. We also tried the Sanguichito with tuna, the fried chicken with coconut rice and a roll (that I don't remember the name of). The sanguichito was so crunchy and the tuna tasted fresh. The fried chicken and coconut rice looks plain but was so good we finished it in minutes. Definitely recommend if you like fusion and flavor!

    Awesome sushi.

The ambiance is a little dark inside, but it gives the place a fun, laid back vibe. My only suggestion would be to offer their lunch specials for online ordering. Since they don't take phone orders, anyone with a short lunch break has to place their order in person and wait, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially when you don't know how busy they are. Overall, it's a great spot with tasty food, a unique atmosphere, and a clean, welcoming environment. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!

They have a little sign by the street to help you find it/advertising, as it's in the hallway of the plaza. It's on the ground level so we didn't have to take any stairs or elevator. Upon entry, there was no one to greet us. We headed to the register where they had a bunch of menus and pictures. While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place.
