    Chicken katsu
    Lili T.

I'm quite shocked at the quality of the katsu here! I ordered the chicken katsu curry and it also came with cabbage salad, clear soup, rice, katsu sauce, and pickled vegetables. The katsu was juicy and crispy and the curry and soup were solid! I dare say it even rivals the katsu curry I've had in new york... If anyone was wondering, I asked about the combo portion size and the employee let me know that the katsu portion is smaller but the soup portion is the regular size. The restaurant is one of the quick service places inside the h mart food court. Now that the h mart opening hype has died down, we didn't have a hard time finding a seat.

Very good chicken katsu and large portions at that! The sides--a broth soup, salad, rice, and pickled radish (takuan/oshinko) were more than ample, all tasty and fresh, and the chicken perfectly breaded. Only complaint was the time from order to pick-up a bit long and the staff seemed hurried and not quite paying full attention to their customers but then again, nothing on my order was wrong so maybe just busy at the close of a long day. The food hall is very, very, loud on a Saturday night with live music, the World Cup on, and people everywhere so it was a bit tough to talk with the lady taking orders anyways. For katsu, best I've had probably in Orlando yet.

I ordered the half Katsu and ramen so I could get a little bit of both and not have too much food. Well that was my mistake since the portion sizes were HUGE. So there is a lot of value in their meal deal. The katsu was perfectly crispy and the katsu sauce was good. I opted for the miso ramen and it was good with lots of noodles and topings. The staff was very nice when I ordered and when I came up to ask for a box to get the rest to go home with me. It is in the food court of H-mart and the place was clean and there was a lot of seating. I can be tricky to get a table, but people do rotate in and out of there pretty regularly.

Our first time in H Mart today and... WOW! But that's an entirely different review. Chidon Katsu is located in the food court area of H Mart amongst several other food vendor options. Order at the counter, have a seat and wait for your number on a screen to pickup. We both decided on teriyaki with veggies and the side of veggie fried rice. Him the Salmon, myself the chicken. Both of our meals also came with a soup (more like a broth- it went unfinished). However, our meals? Great! The veggies fresh and crisp and my chicken perfect! A good sized serving as well (we had a hard time finishing it all!) As we were eating we both agreed that the quality here was better than some of the nicer places we've been recently. A recommend! Add two Cokes our lunch around 45 dollars but money well spent! My only regret is not having eaten first before grocery shopping!!! (Never grocery hungry!)

I finally got to try this place inside of H Mart! I love Japanese food and Katsu so I just had to try this. As always, the food court in H Mart was very busy. It does take a bit of time after you order here for them to serve you your food but I think that's just how the food court is here. The guy at the register was helpful in recommending what I should order. You have to be vigilant in looking out for a seat at this food court. You could also just eating your car, but it's not ideal. I ordered the Tonkatsu thinking it would just come with chicken, cabbage, and rice. It came with a cabbage slaw with some kind of mayo on it, it was good. This meal also came with a soup, I'm not sure what kind it was but it was okay. There was also some pickled veggies which were yummy. The star is definitely the Tonkatsu though. This is definitely the best I've ever had. It was perfectly fried and it wasn't dry. They serve quite a lot as well. I would definitely come back here! If you like Katsu you should try this place :)

This place is inside the very busy food court at H mart, much good food to be explored there. Very lively atmosphere well lit and cool temps. This place does the Katsu thing very well. stick to the fried things here. the chicken katsu, fried wings and croquets are very good. Their fried rice is ok and their sides are pretty good. For this visit I did find something I will steer clear from and that is their Shoyu ramen. It was colorless and tasted like cabbage soup, there was a lot of cabbage in it for some reason, the toppings felt stale and flavorless and the pork was so thin you could almost see through it but also barely seasoned and with a strong gamey taste. All in all not at all what expected and very unpleasant. I will be back for a fired treat but I make better ramen at home.

Omg! I love this place! It is soo good! Everything we have truest so far is absolutely delicious! We never leave disappointed. Sometimes it takes a bit for the food to be done but that just means that it's made fresh everyday. It also depends on the line that forms of people who would like to order from here. After ordering it can be a little difficult to find a seat but you eventually do find a table. The food court is usually pretty packed. I have yet to try another of the veriaty of foods they have in the food court. But every time I want to try something different I feel like why why break something that isn't broken. So I keep going back to this place. Like I said it never disappoints so they got me hooked. And I look forward to going ever time I go.

Seems to be one of those places where the staff is just too cool and not inviting. I've never eaten there before I misunderstood how it works but being the way they were when ordering I just sucked it up and tried to enjoy my only meal here... ever. $28 for a can of sprite and ton katsu. Its basically decent mall food. Hella over priced ,but ib the "trendy" HMart. Portions was sufficient, taste was good but didnt... change my life if you get my drift. Would I again? Nope.

BEST CHICKEN KATSU! Service was quick and it took about 10 min or so to get the food. Place tends to get a little bit crowded due to it being in the food court area of H Mart.

This place is not cheap however it is worth the price as the food was delicious. The noodle soup tasted like miso soup. The winner was the chicken katsu, very fluffy and crunchy. The tempura shrimp and vegetables were also good.

Finally visiting H Mart in Orlando! Chidon is one of the many food options in the food court area. I ordered the Shrimp tempura udon, I was a little bummed that it only came with one mid sized shrimp. The shrimp was accompanied by two slices of zucchini tempura- I'm a zucchini fan and these were nice! The tempura was a bit on the oily side, but yummy, none the less. The noodles were thick and tender and the broth was soothing. The person who took my order was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.

We got the tempura udon and it was yummy! We only got one tempura shrimp which was a little disappointing but it was still tasty!

If you are in the Orlando area, and decide to try one of the restaurants within the new H Mart, don't pick this one. Prices were high, portions were small, and everything was overcooked, or should I say over fried. this one experience gave me cause to ever try any of the other restaurants present.

The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.

The absolute star of the show for me was the Hotate Crème Brûlée -- I genuinely could have eaten 10 of these. It really does taste like dessert in the best way, and I honestly wish I had saved it to be my very last bite of the night! The scallop crudo was another favorite. The combination of the yuzu and strawberries was so fresh and delicious and worked perfectly with the scallop. The only miss for me was the "Bomb." There was so much yolk from the quail egg that I really couldn't taste much of the caviar or steak. We ordered two, and next time I'd personally save the $30 and put it toward trying another roll instead! We also got the ceviche roll, which was honestly crazy because it somehow tastes JUST like ceviche, and the rainbow roll, which was amazing as well. Service was wonderful, and they were so kind and accommodating with my allergy, which I really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and I'd definitely come back -- especially for about 10 more Hotate Crème Brûlées!

The sushi was fine, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. We started with the crispy tuna, and I felt the base was missing flavor. I've honestly had much better versions at other sushi restaurants. We also ordered the roll with fried shrimp and salmon on top. I had it not torched, as recommended. It was still very rich and heavy because of the aioli. I tried removing the aioli, but unfortunately, once removed, the roll became much less rich **and** rather tasteless. There was no ginger or wasabi served with the sushi either, which I found disappointing. And the baked Alaska... was probably the biggest disappointment. It was tiny, had a yuzu flavor, and tasted much more like cheesecake than baked Alaska. It also didn't really feel like baked Alaska at all -- and it definitely wasn't baked. My husband doesn't eat sushi, so he ordered the chicken katsu and actually really enjoyed it, so perhaps the non-sushi options are stronger. But for me, personally, I'd choose a different restaurant for a sushi dinner where I can leave with a clean palate and feel like I had something special. **P.S.** I was also disappointed by the lack of any acknowledgment of our wedding anniversary. Our reservation clearly stated that we were celebrating our anniversary, yet nothing was done to make the occasion feel special -- not even a complimentary dessert or a little "Happy Anniversary" message on the dessert we purchased ourselves. It's a small gesture, but on a special occasion, those little details really matter. That said, I do want to mention that the **service itself was good**. Unfortunately, though, good service alone wasn't enough to make the overall experience memorable for the right reasons.
