We had the French toast which tasted like fried eggs. I also ordered the biscuit and gravy and they forgot the gravy in our take out. I had the eggs Benedict and the English muffin bread was stale and tasted old. My husband had the pancakes and those were also terrible. 11:30 and the place is already packed! Lots of tables with a very down home feel and seems to be a favorite among the locals - always a good sign! I had the chicken tenders salad and chose to get the 1/2 size instead of the full portion. It was plenty of food for me and the chicken was hot and crisp and the lettuce very fresh. It was a simple salad but it was really good. Hubby had the chicken salad sandwich with a side of beans. He thought the sandwich was good and fresh tasting and the side of beans were really good. Seldom will you eat breakfast at a better place than this. As many reviews state there is a wait but I liken the wait to being similar to waiting at the pearly gates for Saint Peter to call my name because just beyond is heaven! Love this place so much. It has a very homey feel and is the place I go to every Sunday with my gf for breakfast/lunch, be prepared to wait for a seat though because they are usually always packed from open to close but that's how you know this place is good. One of the first things I love about this place is the friendliness of the waitresses, they make the experience so much better. They make sure they get you what you need quickly and with a smile. For first timers here you have to get the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast when you go there, it's so good and for the price is the best deal in town. If you are more into lunch on Sunday then get their turkey, it's out of this world tasty. One word of advice is don't be afraid to try new things because everything on the menu is so good. read more

Wait staff Julia was the perfect amount of friendly and extremely helpful with menu suggestions. The California omelette was spectacular with green salsa; my husband loved the big breakfast. Classic old diner. The food was very good. I love to customize my omelets And I got exactly what I wanted. They forgot my salsa and I was still charged for it. The tomatoes were not ripe. The entire restaurant is aged including the decor so I only wonder what the kitchen is like. However my eggs were still great. It was busy all morning so it draws in its regulars. read more

I usually sit at the counter, and order the "Country Benedict" -- and I can't be switched from this--tender sausage biscuits, topped with eggs done your style (over-easy, if you want the Eggs Benedict affect, and the delicious gravy and crisp hash browns. The restaurant is nearly always full--especially the parking lot, but wait your turn--or show up early, during the week and join me. I want to Susan's in about a month or so ago and the food is really really good had a good breakfast!! Boy do they work on their coffee it /was burnt and terrible tasting ...I think it was just the brand! Coffee typically has great margins so they need to get a brand in there that is smoother and better -we are all personally loving " Cafe Bustelo!" read more

These guys are open for breakfast and lunch only. I've been there twice now and they are busy all the time. They get you seated and get you your food in short order. The food is fresh and hot. The skillets are my favorite! Lots of food and it's all good. I highly recommend a visit. read more

This has become our go-to for a great breakfast or lunch. Food is great, service is friendly (and quick!) and the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quantity and quality of food. My wife usually gets an omelet and grits. You get a choice of toast or biscuit (with a very tasty cream gravy). They have daily specials as well. Today, I had Turkey and Dressing (with Turkey gravy) and two fresh sides (I went with Pinto Beans and Cabbage) and a roll or cornbread...for $7.99! They had it out to us in about 10 minutes (their kitchen has been very efficient every time we've been there). On Sunday around 11 am, they said there was a 20-minute wait, so the wife and I waited in the car for 15. When we walked back in, they had already called our name and passed us on the list (again, they're not messing around on getting people fed quickly), but they seated us almost immediately. If there is a drawback, the interior is dated-looking, but it's clean, and you don't go here for the atmosphere. We'll be back, frequently! read more

Susan's certainly lived up to the online reputation! This was my second visit to Susan's in a year and I left completely satisfied both times! With a friendly staff and many delicious-sounding breakfast items, it's almost impossible to go wrong choosing Susan's for your brunch. I most definitely recommend ordering one of Her cinnamon rolls for the table to share; or one for yourself if you're so inclined. I wish I had some long story about why it was so bad... But the truth is, everything at Susan's on both of our visits was just mediocre at best. The food was bland. The service uninterested and borderline unfriendly. I even tried one of the "world famous" cinnamon rolls. It was like something I'd find at Walmart (which is too say, BAD!) It had obviously just come out of the microwave (spongy and hard at the same time), had virtually no flavor (its called a CINNAMON roll, maybe add some) and the dough was just tasteless. I definitely don't plan on going back any time soon. Maybe we'll try it again in a few months and see if it's changed but no plans at this point. read more

Went their for breakfast on Sunday. Very crowded, with lots of people outside, but it turned over quickly and the 3 of us were seated in less than 15 minutes. Had steak and eggs special and it was very good. Great grits. Pancakes were another favorite. Portions are large and food is high quality. A great place, we waited no longer than 30 minutes on a late Sunday morning and the manager came outside offered everyone who was waiting free coffee. I had the chicken fried chicken for breakfast which was perfect. The two eggs were cooked exactly how I liked them. You might want to stay away from the hash browns which had little taste maybe the grits are better. Also the sausage was not the best but I bet the ham is great read more
