This place is super convenient. Ordering is done online or you can place your order when you get there on their kiosk, which is super fast and has pictures and descriptions for each roll. Their delivery is alway quick. We order it regularly on the night shift at NFRMC and the drivers are always very kind and patient. The sushi might not be the best in town but it is good and cheap. I have never had a bad roll. I suggest the sushi master or black and white roll. read more

I have been coming here since 2016 when their rolls were 3 for $10. The price really pulled me in to try their sushi. I have consistently been going back ever since. Just a little less since their rolls are now 3 for $13. I remember when they made the transition in their prices and they were handing out flyers with their orders saying that it was because the price of fish had gone up. If this is the case, I don't mind the extra 3 dollars per roll because it is still a nice deal. I like that the company would like to keep the same quality of their food even with the rising cost of ingredients. I like that you can choose to order at the Kiosk. It makes ordering fast and easy. I love that you can customize any rolls. It is 50 cents to add an ingredient to your order. I settled on my favorite being the sushi master roll with cream cheese and the Philly rolls. :) I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I think their sushi is better than most other quick sushi places. The rice is not too moist and the rolls are rolled tightly. I always get eel and spicy mayo sauce with my order. I think their eel sauce is amazing. When I get eel sauce at other places (Bentos) it is very runny but Sushi2Gos eel sauce has a great consistency and taste. I really wish it wasn't an extra 50 cents to add a sauce. I wish Sushi2Go would at least give you one free sauce per roll but it makes the rolls so tasty I don't quite mind. Something super important that I want to share with others: If you order online to get Sushi2Go delivered to your place or if you order online and pick it up, you can choose to make an account on their website. I did this for fun because I love their sushi so much. But this company surprisingly has an amazing rewards system. Each time you order a roll, you get points and then once you get enough points you can get a free roll or appetizer! You can also get coupons for free rolls and appetizers sent to your email just by not ordering online. They will send you an email recognizing that you haven't placed an order in a while and it will have a free coupon to welcome you back. You can also save your favorite rolls and customizations on their website for super quick ordering. However, I did find out this weekend that if you want to order through the phone for pickup, it is a $2 charge, which is awful. Especially if the website is down or experiencing issues and you are in a hurry and want to grab and go. But all in all, this is my favorite inexpensive sushi place and I look forward to coming here when I am in Gainesville. But I know this may not be a popular opinion. But with the nice price point it is definitely worth a try to form your own opinion! read more

Sushi 2 Go is pretty great. Yeah, it's not the best sushi in town (this title goes to Sushi Matsuri), but for the price it's awesome. 2 rolls for $8? 3 rolls for $10? I ordered 2 similar style rolls at Chopstix the other day and they were 3x as much and the quality was not any different. Yes, I do know a few people who have gotten food poisoning from here. The last time that happened was a few years ago (before the relocation). I definitely order with caution and don't eat here all of the time (for example, I would never go here for Valentines day, like a below reviewer..). But you know what? I have been sitting in the Emergencyroom at Shands for 2 hours now waiting to be cured from SUSHI 2 GO FOOD POISONING ! When I went to the check-in desk the woman asked if I had eaten out at all. I told her that I had sushi 2 go the other night and she informed me that I was the 10TH PERSON in the last few days to come in for food poisoning from this place. If this place was priced like a regular sushi place, it would get 2 stars. Fortunately for my pocket, it isn't! You can't beat 3 sushi rolls for $10 bucks. Yes, the rice gets stuck in your throat when you swallow (yes, I said swallow), but the ingredients taste fresh and their basic rolls taste like the sushi you will find in most places. Ordered the Otsunaaji burrito which I do not recommend to anybody. Firstly, in the entire burrito there was a total of 4 little slivers of tuna that were half the size of a traditional slice of sashimi. Then, there was SO much jalapeño, to the point where I took it all out and made a little mountain out of it. Not only that, but the jalapeño tasted weird, like expired if that's even possible. Also, I wouldn't recommend a hot pressed sushi burrito to sushi lovers because it doesn't taste right warm, I've learned, plus making it in a flour tortilla is kinda gross. I was expecting a giant seaweed wrapped roll like most sushi burritos I've had. It taste like it cost, most people would say you get what you pay for, but some how they managed to make it even even worse, this is the worst sushi I have ever had. This place is really cheap for a reason. I am PRAYING that I went on a bad day or something, because this is the worst tasting sushi I have ever had. Would give 4.5 stars if I could. I've ordered from here multiple times and still do about once or twice a month or so. Pros: - Sushi rolls are pretty tasty, especially for the price. literally just got 3 rolls delivered to my office. I've never had a problem with the tower road location, but as i am closer to west university location i ordered from there this time. -1st: the rolls were very VERY dry, almost as if they were made yesterday. -2nd: Not worth the money as i had to throw out almost all of the rolls because it was absolutely awful. and the fish was most definitely not fresh at all. -3rd: the stinginess of asking for a little extra ginger/wasabi...... on a side comment I asked, word for word --"add a little extra ginger please". what I got was an unnecessarily large amount of ginger and a grain (yes literally the size of a rice grain) of wasabi. To me it seemed as if they were compensating for the ginger, i guess i should've asked for more wasabi too. (all i wanted was maybe a couple slices more of ginger, not the whole bottle) all in all I will never have this sushi again. The prices matches the quality of their rolls. I can't say this is high quality sushi but I can say that they make them very quickly and the self-serve kiosks are easy to use. I don't come here very often but when I do, it's a pleasant experience. I think the location is great though, providing cheap eats to college students right next to campus. read more

Checked out their new location on Tower Road. Ordered the Gator roll with miso soup. The presentation of the sushi was appetizing, but that's about as far as it went. The ingredients just didn't seem fresh, needed a side of spicy sauce to get it down. The miso soup was weak as well. While I appreciate the convenience of Sushi-2-Go, it's just not tasty sushi. UPDATE!! We had two Groupons that we were going to use tonight, each for $20. The coupon states clearly you can use up to 2 per person. However, not wanting to run into a problem, we called just before placing the order and confirmed that it was OK to use two if one person was picking up the order. They said it was no problem. We place the order, husband goes to pick it up and they say Nope, you can't use two per person, just one. Sushilicious ~~~ I work in the E.D. at Shands and we get crazy busy and we order from here a lot. I have to say that for delivery sushi, this place is really pretty good. You can set up an account online that stores your payment information, which I find very convenient. I'm not particularly fond of doing things like that, but for instance, one night I left for work leaving my check card at home and no means to buy dinner. I was able to log on to my account and place my order, *phew*. When you make a selection for sushi, there is a place to include any special requests. I always request a lot of masago on the outside of the roll, and I have never been let down. We joked on the phone that I'm the "Masago Queen". I even took a picture of my rolls with my iPhone as I was so impressed with so much masago. :-) The eel sauce is quite good, as well as the spicy sauce. The sushi rice as a side order wasn't too exciting; I expected a little bit more of the sweet sushi vinegar flavor to it. The noodle dishes are excellent, and you get a lot for what you pay for. The delivery time is pretty fast and I like the fact that they're open until 11:45pm. Many times we're so busy at work, it's actually 4:30 am before I really get to eat, but my sushi is still good, even when I get a roll with fresh fish. Also, the lemon grass soup with shrimp is one of my favorites, you get a lot of shrimp. The steamed dumplings are also good. PLEASE EXPAND YOUR DELIVERY AREAS... My only complaint...please, please, open another location or provide delivery service to the NW. You have spoiled me because I get to order from here all the time while at work. On my nights off I want to order, too, and well, I can't. :-( I almost gave 4 stars for this reason, but that wouldn't be fair, because the rating is for the service and quality of the food you have now, and it is five stars in my opinion. It was a good idea - pretty cheap and they delivered. However, I went into it realizing the possible consequences, and they were confirmed. The sushi sucks. I got through a roll to the last single roll, and just couldn't finish. I gave it to my rats. My rats love rice, and they love crab. They wouldn't eat it. They took a bite out of it and then ran away and drank a whole lot of water. Never ordering that again. read more

If you're new to sushi, you may be tempted to try out their chicken teriyaki roll. Although it does not contain any raw fish, it might be better if it did. While some sushi places use delicious chicken tempura, the shredded chicken at Sushi 2 Go looks and smells like cat food. Sushi beginners will be much better off ordering a Mexican Roll or a Tampa Roll, which contain tempura (fried) shrimp or tilapia, respectively. Neither of them are particularly fishy, but the Japanese mayo makes them both a little slimy, especially after a long ride in the delivery driver's car. Vegetarians may appreciate their veggie roll, which contains avocado, asparagus, carrots, cucumbers, and scallions. I appreciated that their veggie roll contained so much variety, but I found the scallions and asparagus to be overpowering. As you can tell, it took me a long time to find something edible at Sushi 2 Go, but it was worth the wait. Their sweet potato roll is rather unique, and their addition of shiitake mushrooms adds an unexpected sweetness. At the end of the day, their rolls are 3 for $10 and they deliver. That's hard to argue with no matter what point your trying to make. read more
