I cannot say enough about this place! I've been visiting family twice this month and have eaten here FOUR times! I wish I could go again tonight! The food is fantastic and the service is top notch! Drinks are delicious. The ambiance is very nice too since it's outside (with heaters provided) or covered. Right on the beach is also a plus! Currently there is construction, as a new park is being built, but for dinner it's quiet. Once the construction is completed, the view will be just gorgeous! There is a parking lot close by as well. I'm excited to have an upscale sushi restaurant come to North Beach but with reasonable prices. Check it out! It's a must! read more

Spent 5 days in Miami Beach trying a bunch of restaurants and this was my favorite! The ambiance, the service (Our waiter Eloy was such a gem; so sweet and truly excited about the menu and made the best recommendations!). Everything was SO FRESH and delicious I closed my eyes multiple times while chewing just to really savor all of the complexity of flavor!! We had been worried that it would be too cool and breezy on the January night that we went but that wasn't a worry at all as the restaurant has high wooden walls surrounding it and heat lamps throughout! I ate two weeks ago in this restaurant and the food was decent . I went today during happy hour and the waiter and the hostess were at the entrance , we asked to be seat at a table for happy hour but they told us that happy hour is at the bar only . The restaurant was empty not one table taken . They told me that happy hour service at the table is only in weekends . First I wanna say that the service we received was excellent! All of the servers worked together so it was pretty seamless. This spot is super cute and pretty casual. I imagine it's really nice on a sunnier day. We went on a really windy night, but the staff did their best to ensure we were as comfortable as possible. I ordered a caipirinha and it was perfection. Don't pass on the French fries, they're not your ordinary fries and I would go back for those alone! They unfortunately did not have the churrasco on the night that I went, but hopefully I can try it when I go back for more fries. The rest of my party really enjoyed the sushi. We had just arrived in Miami and were craving some late night food. Stumbled across Sushi Bichi on Yelp, it had great reviews so this was our first stop. We went in close to their closing time so we expected to take the food to go, however they warmly greeted us and told us to take a seat wherever we liked. We chose the smallest table but our server offered us a larger one which we gladly accepted. Nice ambiance with the dim lighting. Our server Javier had a very good vibe and took his time explaining the menu in depth and let us know the most popular dishes from each category. We started with the crispy rice & spicy tuna, then moved onto the hammachiyatta and Sakezo rolls, all 3 were absolutely amazing. After those we moved onto the churrasco skirt steak with rice, beans, collard greens and 2 different chimichurris. Some of the best food we've ever had. Lastly they brought out this incredible s'more lava cake with vanilla ice cream and torched marshmallow. The entire staff was extremely polite and genuine. Great conversations and overall 10/10 experience. Even though they were closing not once did we feel rushed. Rui really made us feel comfortable and appreciated. Exceptional service and food! It was our first time in Miami and having sushi bichi as our first food experience made it that much more special. Looking forward to coming back next time we're in the Miami Beach area! read more

I live in Miami but I discovered Sushi Bichi while on a Sta-cation in Miami Beach. This place is a hidden gem! Slightly off the beaten path, this restaurant faces the ocean and has amazing Al-fresco dining. We came in July and the fans and ocean breeze kept us so cool. Our server, Gustavo, was wonderful! He guided us to some amazing dishes and did not steer us wrong. The presentation of the food, the intricate balance of flavors and the quality of the food was top notch. In the category of Pan Asian cuisine, there are quite a few in the area...Chotto Matte, Makoto, just to name a couple. Sushi Bichi takes the best things from places like these and makes them better! The space is minimalist, simply decorated, and spacious feeling with strategically separated tables and high ceilings, at least outside. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to go for Happy Hour or an evening cocktail, for sure. The outside bar separates two seating areas. Ah, but the food! The menu is "divided" into different sections. The areas that are boxed in are the restaurant's specialties. There is also a full array of beverages that may be ordered. One of the highlights there is a Pina Colada in the tradition of the Caribe Hilton Hotel in Puerto Rico, perhaps a homage to the owner, James Recio's roots. My wife and I ordered three (3) small plates and an entree, as well as a dessert. To completely and accurately describe the food that we had would be impossible. There are not enough superlatives, truly. That said, I will try. Our first arrival was avocado flatbread. You can get avocado toast most anywhere nowadays. This just brings it up several notches. First of all, the flatbread itself had just the right amount of crispness not to cut your gums, yet enough to support the weight of the ingredients on top of it. It was a great blend of flavors and texture, from the smoothness of the avocado and ricotta mousse to the bite of the jalapeño pepper and red onion, then the sweet/spicy finish of hot honey. Next, sticky rice with tuna. First of all, the rice is cooked in an air fryer, so there is no heaviness from deep frying, as most places do. There was an overall crispness about the dish with the center of the rice cake having a nice, spongy, ricey feel. The tuna was almost like a mousse with black tobiko and truffle oil to finish the topping. It was one of the best that we have experienced. Then came their Umango roll, made with eel and wrapped with thinly sliced mango, served over a creamy quest blanco sauce which was almost the consistency of thin cream cheese. For the main course, we took the suggestion from our server, Patrick, and went with the Pinoy Adobo coconut chicken, an amazingly well prepared dish that has layers of flavors. The sauce is velvety and smooth. And the rice, while good all by itself, soaks up the flavors famously. At this point, we were stuffed to the gills, but ordered dessert anyway. This was a chocolate lava cake, topped with vanilla ice cream, atop graham cracker crumbles, surrounded by toasted marshmallow! The contrast of warm and cold is incredible, and the flavors were undeniable. I believe, and hope, that this restaurant develops into an established venue on Miami Beach, even more so than the two restaurants that I mentioned at the top of this review. read more

Fantastic food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. I was skeptical of all the 5 star reviews, but now I get it. The 10-piece nigari omakase for $65 has to be the best deal by far in Miami. The quality is exceptional. You don't get the rarest fish flown in from Japan for that price (that you might get a top omakase for 4-5 times the price), but what you get is fresh and delicious. My wife and I are extremely sensitive to sushi/sashimi being fresh, and every bite was mouth-watering delicious. Great new addition to the restaurant scene. They also have a great hamburger and other cooked meats for the guest who doesn't like sushi. Just go! read more

Our party of 4 dined at Sushi Bichi during Art Week. The location and ambience are fantastic. It's right off the boardwalk and has ample seating. The menu has limited and expensive options. Nothing listed seemed "special" to me- regular sushi eater. My dining companions have bland palates and are not adventurous eaters. The only offering that appealed to them was salmon rolls but they wanted them as Philadelphia rolls (cream cheese and salmon) which is a common offering. Not only did they charge 18$ for a "specialty roll", the waiter offered tempura crunchies on top- to which they said ok- but on the bill we were charged an extra $5. FIVE DOLLARS for a sprinkling of leftover tempura drippings. That was shady of the waiter to offer them casually without mentioning the ADDITIONAL up-charge. I ordered a couple rolls of something "spicy" from the menu but they were bland and forgettable. Even with a wasabi dip it was still uninspiring. This was a very expensive meal for underwhelming meal. Like most "Scenic" restaurants- you're paying for the view, not the food. I'd go here for cocktails and the ambience but probably wouldn't dine here again. read more
