I can't rave about this place enough! Their prices are great and they have the sweetest staff! The manager/owner (I assume) is always walking around checking on guests and serving tables. They bring complimentary ice cream and edamame which is really a sweet touch. They also have 10% off of the check if you are seeing a movie the same day! My favorite sushi restaurant in town. They have the freshest sushi and best udon. Ever since I tried the beef udon I can't come and not order a bowl of udon. The broth is so flavorful. I've been eating here since they very first opened in the old location (where forever 21 is now). The food has never lost any quality & neither has the service. Mr. & Mrs. Kim are the absolute sweetest people & I will forever keep coming to this place. All of the specialty rolls are good & tasty but I tend to get the bento boxes or the dinner plates. I've been here so many times over the years since it used to sit where the current Red Robin is. The 5 stars is a cumulative score. The bento box is a perfect choice when you're not into sushi rolls. I usually get the Chicken Katsu with Sashimi. I love the extras that come with it: miso soup, salad, gyoza or fruit. The Sushi Box A or B options are great too. Complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal tops off the visit. Great food and service is nice. The manager/owner is such a nice man. He's always smiling. Totally enjoy dining here. read more

Normally the food and service is great. However never go on the day that the sushi chef is not there. The Hispanic guys don't know what they are doing behind the sushi bar and the female Asian waitress is really not as good in her job as the other waiters there. We order the Gold Sashimi combo and they screwed up by giving us the deluxe, we ask them to redo it and they tried to just add some random pieces instead of redoing it. This isn't the first time we came here. We always order the Gold Sashimi combo when we come and dine. I would have just let it slide if they would have just fixed the order, but they chose not to and the waitress just tried to make excuses. If you are here for sushi or sashimi and you don't see the actual sushi chef just walk away. read more

Restroom there was 5 years layer of dust on shelf , floor was black , sink and outs side of the trash was horrible! Puplic restroom much cleaner than their restroom for sure. We eat there weekly we have never had a problem and always a pleasant experience. Today 3/3/2022 around 1pm. The server completely ignored us the minute we sat down. We asked the hostess as she walked by we where ready to order she told us just a minute. We sat there for another 10 minutes before we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

Update: I no longer recommend this restaurant. Their server is rude and did not even refilled our soda. When we asked why they lowered the Kids meal age from 12 years old to 10 years, the server just said I don't know in a rude manner.To add more insult, my bill has a total of $43 so I paid $20 plus $23 from my credit card and the server did not even remit my $20 cash payment to the cashier so I was charged the full amount of $43 on my credit card. She plainly denied I paid $20 cash. In fact, my wife is the one who gave me the $20 cash and I inserted it on the bill pad together with my cc and the receipt. So this server is pretending she did not see this $20 cash. This server probably took my cash. Not going back to this restaurant anymore.. Stay away people if you don't want to suffer the inconvenience and rudeness.Food overpriced and dishonest server here. read more

By far, my favorite sushi bar to visit in this area, when I'm up for the drive. I've dined here at one point, a few days per week, but lately found so many other places I crave, I rotate my restaurant visits LOL Anyhow, it's always busy here, it seems, a constant flow of people, typically busier before and after a movie, especially on weekends, great social gathering spot, and the best part for me, is there's a table in the back area for those parents who love sushi and adult conversation while the kids have their own play area, t.v. and movies! You can't reserve this section (seats about 5 adults) I believe, but you could always still call and ask) I try to visit when the lunch crowd dissipates or before the dinner crowds) My son always makes a friend and he is comfortable to eat and mingle/play, and let myself and girl friends hang out. The service is impeccable! The sushi is really reasonably priced and you do get a lot for what you pay. The staff is always superb! I always share brief hello/conversation with the man in charge, I don't know if he's the owner, or a manager. There used to be outdoor dining, but since the remodeling of the mall, they no longer have that due to a kidi's train that circulates the area and needed the space I'm sure. Complimentary edamame EVERYTIME, sometimes at the sushi bar, they will serve complimentary crab/cucumber salad, really refreshing! They really treat us well, especially Phil (sushi chef) always has great recommendations! Their menu is very thorough and diverse, with not only sushi, but other Korean/Japanese dishes!! I think their best deal are the lunch combos that are choose 2 *think it's about $8 or choose 3 *I think it's about 9 bucks, at least at lunchtime ,I may be off by a couple dollars, so sorry if I am, but still really inexpensive since after u choose the 2 or 3 items, u also get steam rice, miso soup, AND salad, small side of fresh fruit medley, and the pickled Asiasn (yellow) radish for garnishings!!! ... choices included in the combos are from tempura/beef , salmon, or chicken teriyaki/ sushi/gyoza/ tempura roll/california roll/spicy tuna roll Sushi photos, again, very clear and descriptive, love the Winchester Roll, Havasu Roll, Spicy Tuna, and their Sukiyaki (beef and glass noodle soup) My son loves their miso soup, teriyaki and tempura and sometimes the udon too. I even asked if they could make this sushi version I had on a visit out to Vegas, and without fail, they accomodated! My favorite side to add to all my sushi rolls now (have to ask for it tho) is a tempura fried jalapeno slices.... Even without asking, they almost always have brought out some rainbow sherbet ice cream for him to complete his meal, complimentary! My favorite dessert there is their green tea tempura ice cream :) I wish I had photos of all their wonderful food I've had here in all my visits, but I hope you believe me if you haven't tried their sushi, you'll make the trek to visit inside the mall complex, it's outside the food court entrance. There's so much construction still going on the Red Robin side, it's best to park over by the newer area near PF Chang or instead of the parking garage, behind the movie theater. Or park behind Sears, and walk through Sears, out the food court, and it's to your left. Only downside is if you leave Sushi Boat after the mall closes, you're locked out and have to walk all the way around, behind Red Robin. Sushi rolls as big as your head... 1. Ok I may be exaggerating just a wee bit but seriously their sushi rolls are huge as well as their reasonably priced sushi selection. I loved how the menu offered pictures of all the rolls. They also gave us a complimentary ice cream at the end of our dinner. 2. It was a bit tricky finding this place. We saw the sign from the road and was looking for its own building. But it's actually located in the mall across from the movie theater and next to CPK. So you can park in front of Sears and Lucille's BBQ then walk in. Mmm Lucille's..... 3. Great atmosphere and service. They even had this little play area with toys for your kiddies. I ordered the 3 item dinner plate with chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, and avocado roll while my wife ordered more chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, and a California roll. I thought they were both reasonably priced at about $12 per order. And it even came with ice cream at the end!!! Our waitress was really nice and took really good care of us... the owner himself also came over and said hello to wife and thanked her for finally coming in. Normally when I go here I enjoy everything but this last time did not sit well with me. Came in around 3pm and it was pretty empty. Service was fast and good but where we were seated the floor was dirty. My husband loved the roll he ordered but the salad and soup that came with my meal tasted old. We asked for a fork because I suck at using chopsticks and the one brought to us was dirty. The soft shell crab had too much batter on it. It took away from the actual crab. I guess the deep fried California roll is already pre made because I was told I cant get it with soy paper instead of seaweed. I like the decor, wood and Samurai armor, but Britney Spears blasting in full volume ruins the whole atmosphere. I ordered miso soup to start with, it never arrived. Now to the food itself: Rice is falling apart, not sticky enough. Avocado is with dark spots, not well picked. Salmon is OK, Costco grade. I am a little partial since I have been enjoying the delicious (and reasonably priced) sushi here for almost 5 years, but this place is the best! I first went to Sushi Boat with a friend and was amazed at how attentive and friendly the staff was. She was a regular and they greeted her by name. I soon returned, boyfriend in tow and now this place is our regular place to dine out. After only a few times going, the staff knew our names and casually chatted us up each time we came in. We are often offered to try new things that aren't on the menu (free of charge) and they are always great about changing ingredients on their rolls. The manager Mark is awesome, sushi chefs Phil and Charlie rock and we have even followed former chefs to their new places of work because we missed them (and they still make us our favorite Sushi Boat rolls-BONUS!). Their sushi and sashimi is always fresh, so I always try to switch up which roll I get. So far I haven't been disappointed by any. Their jalapeno bombs are, well pretty bomb! First time here and will be back! Loved the Hawaiian Roll because the tuna tanaki was so deliciously seared and seasoned. The albacore on top of the Albacore Delight Roll with garlic ponzu sauce was 2nd best. Will definitely ask for those on a platter so I can try the different rolls. There are many! The customer service was awesome filling drinks, nice, and they give you some edamame and green tea ice cream on the house. My family and I have tried several different sushi restaurants, this one is one of my favorites. The place is very clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The sushi is simply amazing. I have never had a bad meal. So far my favorites are their tempura shrimp hand rolls and the promenade roll. It has avocado, smoked salmon and cream cheese...simply delicious. The kids meals are also really great. My kids get the sushi boat which is a variety of things and presented in a little boat.
