Been going here since I was in high school. Owners are super friendly and service is also kinda and attentive. It's a bit pricey, but most sushi is. I usually order their fried or baked rolls and they're so good. Interior is cutely decorated as well. They have an extensive menu with a lot of creative rolls. The most memorable ones for me include the Pikachu Roll (includes mango) and Smokin Aces. I also love their appetizers like croquettes, popcorn chicken, and takoyaki. I have not been here in a while since I don't go the the mall often but I am reminded why I enjoyed coming here. My BF and I shared a dinner bento with salmon roll, sashimi, and teriyaki beef, Sumo Roll and Jeff Special roll. But after not finding a sushi place that felt quality enough, I finally decided to just give it a try and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the Phil's special and it was so good and refreshing. Was simple enough to where the fish and extra ingredients compliment each other so nicely. Sometimes I have a difficult time ordering specialty rolls as I find all the ingredients overwhelm the taste of the fish but this roll was not like that in the slightest. The salmon on top was so fresh and smooth it was almost like butter. My fish hating husband was even willing to try it and gave it a thumbs up! Overall I am impressed and will be back! read more

The server we had was very eager and checked on us maybe 6 times in 30 mins.. I felt like I can't even sit for a while, that I had to leave right away we didn't end up finishing the food because it felt awkward. The sashimi in our Chirashi bowl and hand-roll was a hit or miss. The salmon, tuna, and yellowtail was fresh, but the albacore tuna definitely tasted like it was from a week ago. The scallop was plump and nice in texture, but somehow oddly fishy (?) like it was been sitting with some older sashimi fish. That being said, it's still much better than Sushi Roku or comparable mall sushi places. The complimentary ice cream was nice, just somehow didn't taste like how it looks (?) it tastes like vanilla but is the color of green tea. All in all, I think this is as good as mall sushi gets. My lunch came with a miso soup, a iceberg lettus salad, a California roll, a spicy tuna roll, four pieces of nigiri, and seaweed salad. Everything was fresh and a nice balance of hot and cold. My friend took me to this spot. This is her favorite sushi spot. The service here is excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive regardless of it being a busy Friday night. Now when it comes to the food, I've been to better sushi spots but the sushi was still adequate. I ordered a caterpillar roll and the flower special. Out of the two, the flower special was my favorite! Inside it has shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and avocado. Outer part has tuna and salmon. It was something slightly different compare to your standard California roll or even my usual caterpillar roll. The rolls are on the smaller side but at least it was decent ratio of rice and actual fish. I appreciate how they give complimentary edamame and at the end of your meal a small scoop of green tea ice cream. Nice touch! Pretty disappointed with this place after picking up my to go order today but I'm optimistic and maybe I just caught them on a bad day. I got the calamari, tamago, Fuji, and banana split. The thing that bummed me out the most was that the calamari was absolutely cold. Maybe they fried it first in before the rest of the order because it was grossly cold like it's been sitting out for 40 mins. Also I only live 15 mins away and I made sure to pick it up right on time. The baked Fuji roll was still warm but it was wrapped in foil so maybe that's something they should consider doing for the calamari too. The actual Fuji and banana spilt rolls were ok, I wouldn't order the Fuji again because the flavor was pretty bland and I didn't finish it. I would try the banana spilt roll again because it was a interesting combination. They also did not give ginger or wasabi so that's also disappointing. Maybe I just caught them on a busy Saturday night so there food was lacking, I'll try again in a months or so. read more
