Had the pleasure of dining here at least Twice with Ralph as the Sushi Chef. Over the years a great Sushi Chef remembers what his clients like, so I just sit at the Sushi Bar with his other Regulars and have Ralph build me Three Custom Rolls. Ambiance is nice, not very loud. We love eating here as a family. My kids have been coming since they were small. They love the rolls. The green tea ice cream. Everything that is served. It's definitely delicious and tastes amazing. The staff so professional and friendly. The ambience is classy and tranquil. Thank you!

We have slowly become more discerning about what we consider good sushi. After three visits, we found Sushi boat to be priced right sushi. Food: vibrant colors in the fish, a fresh aroma, sticky (not mushy) rice, sufficiently firm fish, and all served visually appealing. You get a bit more than what you pay for. Also, just for sitting down you get free, tasty edamame. Service: prompt but not rushed, friendly, willing to respectfully assist with menu, and seemingly non judgmental towards fork or sugar users. Ambiance: great for dates, family, or solo bar service. It didn't feel like you are at a mall. The booths give a feeling of privacy. Price: this was a great bang for your buck. Though everything tasted great, it was also understandable that this wasn't made by Jiro Ono with fish right out of the ocean. It was a great Temecula meal.

One of my new favorite sushi places in Temecula. The sushi was fabulous and the teriyaki chicken bento box was delicious! The hubby does not like mayo and our server worked with him and gave him options on other dressings. Our server Steven was super sweet and very attentive. They offer a small complementary sample of Edamame which is a nice touch. The inside is super cute with traditional Japanese decor.

The establishment has been here for 10+ years and there have been some major changes/improvements. They have changed interior to make it look more intimate or private for customers. It's better for domestic couples or for a family meal (would advise against coming here for a date as there could be more places to get to know someone with a better setting). As it's located in a mall, you can park in a structure or in a nearby spot in the parking lot. My party ordered the Lunch Box (Bento Box), Mixed Tempura, Winchester Roll, and the Chirashi bowl. The total price, with tip, came to about $80. In reference to the food, we had edamame that was served cold (yes, it can be prepared and served either warm or cold, but the taste was not present and the flesh did not break/flatten easily). The side salad was a little bland due to the vegetables used. I've found that spring mix is better vs. the cabbage used in their salad (doesn't absorb the dressing as well). The chirashi bowl prioritized looks over the ability to eat and blend ingredients well. It was hard to eat with all the food stacked in large portions on top. There was no nori, shiso, or roe mixed with the rice. Bonus: You can get complimentary green tea ice cream after your meal. The servers were nice. The environment was a generally clean and well-kept place. However, with a large amount of options, the food could still be improved upon.

My friend and I ordered Togo rolls and nigiri and they were not bad at all. I was so impressed about their packing. I was so hungry and totally forgot to take pictures before unpack everything but it showed how much they paid attention to the Togo order.

Another great experience here. This time tried the Jay Special 2 no rice roll, salmon sashimi, 911 roll and gyoza Food came out quickly and was fresh. Staff was friendly and greeted us upon entry. Inside was clean and not too loud. The jay special 2 was good but not my favorite because the Cucumber was a little too thick for my personal taste. I liked the other no rice roll better. Presentation was very good. The 911 roll was pretty good and a little spicy.

My family and I stopped by for a quick lunch, and we ordered the Deluxe Mixed Sushi Combo. The price was fair and the amount of food in the combo was enough to feed 4 people. We really enjoyed the sushi and sashimi that came with the combo, and we will definitely come back again!

We haven't been to this place in awhile, but we were craving something healthy at the mall and sushi was the first thing that came to our mind. The owner? Manager created us right away as he always does each time and we were quickly seated. Service was impeccable and attentive as always and this is probably my favorite part about this restaurant. The sashimi portions are generous and the plate was beautifully served. We order 3 rolls on top of the 15 sashimi pieces and it was more than enough for our party of 4. 2 kids and 2 adults. Our kids love sushi so they can eat as much as a grown adult on good days. We came early before the dinner crowd so it was not very busy and quiet. The restaurant is always so clean and the bathroom as well was very clean and tidy.

This place is outstanding. The move we eat at different place the more we appreciate this one. Seafood salad for the Mrs. I get the sumo roll, kids split the dinner box and we are one happy family . Phil is a sushi ninja and Alex is the Dan Hendo of sushi. read more

I don't like fish so I had the "temecula" which was delicious. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We definitely will be coming back. I gave it 4 stars only because my husband loves sushi and said it was great but that he'd had better. read more

Decided to try this place for lunch before shopping. Well, after doing so, we won't be back. Decor and ambiance was ok, nothing extraordinary. My mom ordered hot green tea, which was served in an ordinary coffee mug, not keeping to Japanese tradition, serving it in a tea set type of mug. I ordered the Mango Roll, my mom ordered some Flower Roll. Both orders of sushi didn't taste fresh. The rice was hard, had the texture of dry day old rice. The presentation of the sushi wasn't very appealing to the eye, making it not look very appetizing either. We were disappointed and left not satisfied. I think we will stick to Hana Sushi for now! read more

I love this place and even though I moved down to SD, I'd still drive up for this place. It all starts once you open the door, you are greeted by everyone: 1) you never have to wait that long 2) the staff is always attentive 3) most sushi place won't let you sub or even take out certain ingredients, but they will 4) presentation is always nice 5) the free ice cream after your meal 6) never left unsatisfied or still hungry A bit pricey, but after your meal... It's really worth it. You can walk around the mall to work out your food OR settle for the food coma and catch a movie across the restaurant. read more

We are new to the area and was hoping we could find great sushi like we had in LA. Sushi Boat will definitely become one of our regular restaurants. The rolls and sashimi were delicious and they even sprinkled some smelt egg on my spicy tuna upon request. I love that the edamame and ice cream are free extras to start and end off your meal. My husband and I never yelped this place before and we just knew there was a sushi place at the mall. Decided to eat here and there are no regrets. We didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I don't know if it was just because me and my husband were just hungry at the moment but everything was delicious. The service was great too! This may be our new sushi spot! read more

Visited here for the first time. Came after our movie at Edwards Cinema and had lunch. Our party consisted of me and my 3 young kids (ages 8, 6, and 4). I was impressed when, shortly after being seated, they served us two small, complimentary bowls of edamame, which I enjoyed. They came lightly salted and even my 8 yo tried some (he's not a fan of anything green!). The sushi was GOOD! and reasonably priced. I had my usuals -- the caterpillar roll and the rainbow roll. The kids meals were great! My 6 & 4 yo each had the udon soup, which was perfectly portioned for them; my 8 yo had the chicken teriyaki, which seemed like a large portion for a kids meal IMO. Each kids meal also came with a fountain drink and: a packaged fruit snack, (1) gyoza, and (1) nugget, and rice (though my soup eaters didn't really find a need for it). We were all pleasantly surprised when ALL 4 of us were given a scoop of strawberry ice cream! What a great way to top off our already delicious lunch! And, to make our experience here even better, they took 10% off our bill when we showed them our movie stubs! Service was good (the waitress never asked how things were going nor did she refill my water; no biggie); food was great; the establishment was clean. Overall, would definitely come back! read more

The worst service in town. Once I was with a group of friends and I ordered a sushi roll. I NEVER RECEIVED MY FOOD. EVER! Nobody even checked on us to see if we needed anything. I'm glad I wasn't really hungry at the time or I would have been very upset. The california rolls are not freshly made and are very stale. The bathroom has smelled horrible for months. The only reason I ever go there is its cheap and alot of my friends like to go there. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. read more

I like to eat here at least once a week. The food is amazing and my ultimate favorite is the Salmon Crispy Roll. The only bad experience I had there was a time when my friends and I looked at our edamame and noticed that some were already chewed. Very Disgusting! read more

My Fiance and I were craving sushi so we went to shogun. After sitting there for awhile with no service we walked out. So we decided to walk to Sushi Boat, and we were totally impressed. I love the atmosphere and everyone was so nice from the moment we walked in. Our server recommended the calamari roll which was amazing! Everyone should try this place. read more

I'm never disappointed when we go to Sushi Boat! I love their salad dressing! I've taken some home...yes, that's how good it is! Love their chicken teriyaki and can't get enough of their california rolls. The service is great and very friendly. I also love their parent/kid section: table for four in a corner with play area and your own tv. Great for parents who want to be able to eat warm meal for once! ;) read more

wife and i love to try all sorts of non fast food places. We don't comment much but for this place we give it 5 stars for several reasons: 1) very reasonable and nice size helpings especially the kids meal...you order chicken teriyaki...you get a gyoza, chicken nugget, drink in addition to the chicken teriyaki...and not to mention the free ice cream at the end 2) service...the same 2 asian gentleman and servers have been there for years and are super friendly and attentive to the customers 3) if it's free you can sit in the kids area good for 1 family of 4-6, you and your kids can eat and play under your supervision without disrupting other patrons. 4) located opposite the Edwards Cinemas and mall 5) food is very good and great value...check out the 2 item bento boxes for 9.95 for dinner....that's usually a lunch price....you get gyoza and deep fried cali roll....you can add salmon teriyaki with no extra $. 6) edamame and ice cream both complimentary.... need we comment more? read more

This place is great! I have been going here for the past seven years and it never gets old. I love that they have some of the lowest sushi prices around but their food is still great. They always start you off with FREE edemame and end with FREE ice cream. Who doesn't love free ice cream? Plus their staff is so friendly; they always recognize me and say hi when I come in. read more

Very good customer service and pretty good sushi. Menu was a little bit too big with too many options. We had the sashimi which tasted pretty fresh. We also had mixed tempura, hello mango roll, the war roll and a calamari roll (can't remember the name). Everything was tasty, just wish they had a few "healthier" or light roll options. read more

Sushi boat is awesome ! The staff is so friendly and very attentive! Every time I come to Temecula, I get sushi. I sit at the sushi bar and Phil is my sushi chef all the time. He is so funny and friendly and makes sure my roll is always amazing!!! His presentation of the rolls are outstanding. I can tell him what I like and what I don't like and he will make me something so delicious or recommend another roll. Sushi boat gets an A++ rating from me!!! I look forward to eating sushi more often then normal!!! read more

Friendly staff, clean environment, and good sushi. Came here for late lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed the meal from start to finish. Greeted by hostess upon entering and seated by friendly server. Not quite sure who was our server, but it didn't matter, it seemed everyone was responsible for every guest and if you needed something, anyone was happy to help. Great place. Will definitely return. One change I would make is for the dessert at the end, I like green tea or mochi after sushi rather than strawberry ice cream. read more

I think this is one of the best sushi places in Temecula. Prices are reasonable or at least similar to other sushi restaurants. The food is yummy and their sushi is always fresh. My family and I are ALWAYS pleased with the different plates we order. I also appreciate the opportunity for a combo plate. Lastly I personally think Jimmie, one of the servers, is the best server at the restaurant. Ask for him. Hardy is awesome too. read more

I've been here twice now & I always walk away full. The rolls are huge and there are so many go choose from. The minute you walk in the owner (or the man who I believe is the owner) greets you and is so attentive throughout your meal. I sit at the bar itself and the chef always gives us little samples of the fresh fish. It's decently priced too which is a bonus, not to mention the free ice cream & endless edamame. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Had the raw Albacore, Halibut and Yellowtail and Nokori. I must say it was so fresh and delucous! unfortunately i didn't have a chance to try the house sushi specials but will do next time for sure.This place has it all! The quality of food is good and the customer service is unprecedented! There was about 3 different servers who came up to me within a minute time lapse to check if I was aright or needed anything! read more

As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage. Inside the gift shop there was so much to peruse through, but some of the stuff will definitely get a giggle out of you. There's an art gallery connected to the main building. I wouldn't call it an art gallery but many walls were dedicated to showcasing local artists work depicting the Temecula Valley lifestyle. In the same room is the wine tasting bar and most of the people inside the art gallery seemed to be more interested in wine tasting than the art lol This was my second time visiting, both times, I had a great first impression and last impression from the ambiance, food and service. They are just so fun here! We got for the table the Chicharrón, Chips and Guac $18 and Mini Pan Conchitas $10 to share. Everything, and I mean everything was delicious! We left no crumbs. The prices are pretty reasonable for their portion size and I think every gal enjoyed themselves! Multiple staff members came to check on us and bring us our food, and all of them were great to talk to and helped us decide on our drinks or food orders. They really do treat you with great hospitality here and try to make a connection - we felt so welcome and taken care of! I recently visited Sushi Boat in Temecula for lunch, and I have to say it was an absolutely wonderful experience! We arrived right when they opened, so there wasn't anyone there yet, which meant we were seated almost immediately--super quick and efficient. The atmosphere of the restaurant immediately caught my eye; it was bright, welcoming, and impeccably clean. I could tell they take pride in maintaining a neat and inviting space, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The customer service was truly top-notch. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. They checked in on us regularly, refilled our drinks promptly, and genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying our meal. It's rare to find that level of attentiveness these days, and it really made our lunch feel special. Parking is a little different--you'll need to park in the nearby parking structure and enjoy a short walk--but I actually loved this part! The walk through the Temecula Promenade is beautiful, and it gave us a chance to take in the scenery before sitting down. It's a great way to build up a little appetite too! Now, the food... oh wow! Everything was incredible. The sushi was so fresh, perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was flavorful, from the delicate rolls to the fresh sashimi. Definitely not the best sushi I've had. My group and I came on Saturday afternoon. Here's a list of pros and cons: Pros: *For a group of 8, we got seated pretty fast. Probably waited around 10 minutes, which isn't too bad. *The sushi ( my group got the Fuji, promenade, ninja, and unagi crunch) were alright. Not fantastic, but doable. *I love water. I appreciate the multiple water re fills. Cons: *The service was horrid. We ordered our food all at the same time, BUT our food all came out at different times. We waited 10 minutes between each dish that came out, which is unacceptable. They did state that they had a problem with the system, but that doesn't serve as an excuse for the food coming out at separate times. *The soups that we ordered (tonkatsu ramen, shoyu ramen, and beef udon) came out cold. We had to ask them to bring it back to the kitchen and get new ones. *The beef bowl that was ordered should have been one of the first dishes out, since its a rice bowl. In my past experiemces at Japanese/sushi restaurants, rice bowls are usually out first. We did talk to the assistant manager about the problems we had and asked of they could somehow make our experience better. What made the experience better for me was how understanding the assistant manager was and how he could make the experience better. We got the tempura ice cream for free! Which is bomb.com! And he also accommodated us in other ways, especially regarding the bill. Overall, I gave this restaurant a 3/5. If the service and food becomes better, I'll make sure to come back. read more

My husband and I had our first date here 6 years ago. We love to come here especially since they have a play area for our toddler. With that said the last two times we were here have been a bad experience. The first was that the eel roll I usually get with avocado was bad. The eel was slimy and super fishy and it made me sick! Despite this experience we decided to give it another chance and still we we're let down. This time with the new waitress. She got our order wrong, forgot one of our rolls and when it was brought to the attention of a supervisor she came back and argued with us!
