Good food and large-portioned meals in an unassuming strip mall. The only real negative was my server didn't know what other beers they had besides Sapporo. He listed the names of them and I was unfamiliar of them, and couldn't tell me if they were an Ale vs. Lager etc. And when I asked he said he wasn't sure, and he didn't offer to go look/ask someone. Since I like Sapporo, I ordered it (but would have liked to know what others beers they had and what kinds they were). The spicy beef yakiudon was quite good. The meat quality and cook was good, and the ratio of noodles:beef:vegetables was very good. The sauce itself had just a little bit of heat to it, but by no means would I consider it "spicy" for someone who eats spicy food. Overall, it was good! But if and when we come back, I'll likely order something else.

I relied on the Yelp reviews and ate here! HUGE mistake. I will never trust restaurants' reviews in Phoenix after this. The service was cool but the food was not good at all. I was so disappointed when I left. I suspect the great reviews are from influencers or a related party. I was duped.

Wow--what a hidden gem! This has officially become my new go-to sushi spot. I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday evening, and although it wasn't very busy, the atmosphere was perfect. Our server was so kind--they even comped our edamame and surprised us with an extra discount in honor of the restaurant's 10-year anniversary. Such a thoughtful gesture! The food was incredible--fresh, flavorful fish and the edamame was spot on. We also ordered two deep-fried rolls, and they were gone so fast I didn't even have time to take a picture (always a good sign!). Everything tasted amazing. I'm so glad we found this place and can't wait to come back very soon!

I was hoping to give Sushi Bros 5 stars but sadly this visit and the last few have been a bit of a letdown. I decided to stop in for a quick lunch with my daughter. We ordered our usual, gyoza, calamari tempura crunch roll, salmon crunch roll and the shrimp tempura roll. The gyoza were nice and crispy and tasty but once the rolls arrived they were a bit of a mess. The rolls were so loosely rolled that when you tried to pick them up they immediately fall apart, everything in the center separated from the seaweed and rice. Not only were the rolls very loose and sloppy but the flavor was just not there. We used to love sushi bros but we are finding the quality has decreased and the prices have risen. The waiter was friendly and tentative and the restaurant was very clean, but it's not enough to reel me back.

I really like sushi brothers. It's better than your usual sushi AND it's affordable. You'll only get better in Phoenix if you're prepared to drop between $80-100 per sitting. I have, and I won't. The only downside to this place is the calamari. I've yet to eat at a restaurant in AZ, that isn't Italian, and have REAL calamari. Otherwise you'll get those blubbery, fleshy, breaded fish fingers they call "calamari". I call it Gross. They should really put it on the menu as "Calamari" or Kalamari so I know what I'm getting. If they ever tried to serve that @&$#! on the East Coast they would be hanged by their feet. And don't tell me about imitation "krab" meat. Nobody eats that @&$#! where I'm from. read more

Surprisingly great! Don't let name or location turn you off. The sashimi was fresh and wonderful. Authentic. Of course I was hesitant to come in since but Phoenix strip mall locations can hide jewels. I will be back and make this my prime sushi in north Phoenix when I am visiting. It's not glamorous. But good sushi does not have to be. read more

Would not recommend. We ordered our food for pick-up. It was rainbow roll which was dry, and the teriyaki chicken which tasted funny and the rice was dry. The inside looked really cute with nice ambiance. Maybe one day if a friend talks me into it I would try it again inside the restaurant. Just outside their door it smelled like urine on the sidewalk. Not their fault; it's just something to watch out for. read more

Beware happen to me and once I noticed I said something immediately and the waitress simply told me you didn't tip Last time which is a total lie I always leave cash tips and even if the was the case why would you tip yourself using my card NO EXCUSE!!!! read more

It's hard to find vegetarian sushi. Not only did they have three different kinds, but the prices couldn't be beat! We tried the cucumber, the avocado, and the veggie rolls. We all liked the avocado roll the best. The veggie roll had some pickled vegetable in the middle we didn't really care for. Would definitely go again. read more

Decided to check it out for Valentine's Day, since our go to sushi spot wasn't impressing us anymore, and we loved it! The family was so sweet and the service was amazing. The place was clean and you can see them prepping your meal. We got the viva Las Vegas and it was phenomenal. I think the highlight is that they don't overdo anything-- the tempura is not heavy, the sauces aren't drowning, etc. Plus, we got 4 specialty rolls for under $50! We stopped here on the way back to our town. First let me say where we live is small and the sushi is not great, so I was dying for some great sushi like I've always had in Tucson *(sushi ten)*. I saw it had great reviews, and a happy hour, so I was game. First it's in the weirdest place ever. Off the side of a strip mall with like NO parking, but as any wannabe foodie know... Don't judge the book by the cover. We went in and it was pretty empty, it's small, but it's everything I love in a sushi place. They catered to my kids and got us edamame and miso soup. My husband and I ordered 4 rolls. We had the spicy tuna, Las Vegas, crunchy California, and I think it was called sweet something roll. They were decently quick (again empty though) and the food was delicious! It was perfectly flavored and wrapped. Plus it is happy hour all day until 6 I think, and if you dine in you get an EXTRA 10% off! We paid $22 for drinks, 4 rolls, and the miso soup. I call this a WIN! And will be back again when we are in Phoenix again! -- plus it's close to the 17 so that's awesome too. read more

I started visiting this place when it was known as "Sushi Q," and had not been here in a while. Not much has changed, decor-wise, in the interior, but I have noticed a change in the food offerings. (The miso soup seems to have a different flavor that most varieties I've tried, but I'm willing to give it a chance.) What really impressed me was the rolls I've tried, and of course, the sashimi. I swear, the fish portions are more generous than I remember. (Reminding me somewhat of a place I went to in Fremont, CA ages ago.) Overall, I was satisfied with my meal, and the price, and I'd be likely to return whenever I can. I'll be keeping an eye on this place, and seeing how the next evolution goes "with the bros." ^_^ read more

Wonderful little sushi place right next to home! Don't walk by without checking it out! Everything we've had has been fantastic (my favorite is Sweet Thing)!! The only downside is that they don't have as extensive of a cocktail menu as I would like. The prices are great! They offer lots of specials like free Edamame or $4 sake bombs. The mermaid susi roll was awesome. As was the night train roll. The deep fried rolls were just that, deep fried. Im used to a tempura coated fried roll, so these were a bit too greasy for us, not a fan. Highly recommend the crazy avocado appetizer! read more

First time visit and definitely not my last. I was in the mood for a cucumber wrapped roll. While it wasn't on the menu, the sushi chef was kind enough to grant my lunchtime request. It tasted like heaven, so fresh and crunchy with just the right kick thanks to spicy tuna. Amazing happy hour all day long from 11-4:30 and again from 7 to close. The service is so friendly. I couldn't help but notice almost every customer that left gave a hearty thank you and/or good-bye and it was happily returned. A good sign in my book. This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have been to in Phoenix. I know the area that it's in can lead you to believe otherwise, but it's truly wonderful. My friend and I love coming here for happy hour! This is where we get our sushi fix for sure! You get quality sushi for an affordable price. Sake is super cheap and authentic..it gets the job done lol The area isn't the greatest but don't let Thay fool you and make you miss out on a good time with good food. This is one of our favorite sushi spots in Phoenix. We have traveled to many places and ate fresh seafood along coasts and islands but this sushi is one of the best we've had! The staff and sushi chef are wonderful and they are so efficient in the service and also with the food! We really enjoy our time here and they are also very accommodating with large groups. I'm not sure is it was the fact we left a place for being so slow that made this place so great of if it really was great on its own. The food was delicious and fresh. The portions were great too, above average. Lastly the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and if on a budget just come during happy hour or lunch hours. Sushi Bros is the absolute most underrated sushi place in the valley area. They have exceptional deals including free edamame with a dine in order, 10% off all dine in orders, 4 dollar sake bombs with your choice of large imported beer. Plain sushi rolls (salmon, yellowtail, etc) are 3 dollars for 6 huge pieces. This place is always slow, but their sushi is so fresh and inexpensive. They also offer cooked alternatives such as 6.99 chicken, beef , shrimp lunch specials. I would hate to see this place go under due to lack of business. Please stop by if you love sushi. read more
