This is a lovely place. The service is impeccable and genuine, the restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, and the food was great. We had the mixed tempura and one of their bao buns. I can't recommend either highly enough. Even though we came in for a snack, and didn't order much, everyone was kind and attentive. We went to check out Jin Sushi and Grill since they're under new ownership and have a new menu. Of course, we ordered a little bit of everything just to see how it all was. The sashimi appetizer was probably the best part, fresh, nice thick cuts, and it even came with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and came with a good amount of salad. The ramen, though, was kind of disappointing, $9 for basically instant noodles and half an egg. The shrimp fried rice was solid, not greasy and a good portion. The spider roll had way too much batter, so you could barely taste the crab. The tuna bomb was small, just a bite-sized tuna-avocado roll, but the tuna pieces were pretty generous. The chicken karaage had good flavor but the batter was a bit thick, and the asparagus roll was just okay. Overall, it was a mix of hits and misses. The sashimi and fried rice were definitely the stars, especially with that fresh wasabi. Give it a little improvement here and there, and this place could really turn out great under the new ownership. read more

Came in from out of town. What was formerly known as "Hooked on Sushi" is now Jin Sushi. Walked in and was quickly greeted by the owner Jin and sushi chefs Lee & Jig aka Jigalo. We were the only ones in the restaurant. So we were able to have a seat at the bar. The sushi for the type of restaurant was great quality for the price point. We initially just ordered the lunch special which came with 1 roll and 6 piece nigiri. It was Soooo good we ended up ordering 4 hand rolls. 4 seared salmon and 4 seared yellowtail. They didn't miss the mark on any of it!! So good! As we were leaving the place was very lively and seemed like there were a lot of regulars. Glad we stopped in!! Wish we had a Jin back home. Came in to grab a quick bite for lunch. The service was great. Very attentive and polite. I got a hamachi hand roll, which was delicious, a tuna,salmon, and avocado roll, that didn't skimp on fish or avocado, and was delicious. I also had to get the mixed tempura appetizer and that came out hot n fresh n crispy just like you'd hope for. Was very pleased. Prices were great too. Locally owned and operated, so you know it's going to be a pleasant meal. Will absolutely be back. read more

The seaweed salad, calamari, sushi and sashimi exceeded every expectation. A cold Asahi for our beverage A macaroon ice cream sandwich for the finish!
