    Spicy beef yakiudon
    Catharine M.

Good food and large-portioned meals in an unassuming strip mall. The only real negative was my server didn't know what other beers they had besides Sapporo. He listed the names of them and I was unfamiliar of them, and couldn't tell me if they were an Ale vs. Lager etc. And when I asked he said he wasn't sure, and he didn't offer to go look/ask someone. Since I like Sapporo, I ordered it (but would have liked to know what others beers they had and what kinds they were). The spicy beef yakiudon was quite good. The meat quality and cook was good, and the ratio of noodles:beef:vegetables was very good. The sauce itself had just a little bit of heat to it, but by no means would I consider it "spicy" for someone who eats spicy food. Overall, it was good! But if and when we come back, I'll likely order something else.

I relied on the Yelp reviews and ate here! HUGE mistake. I will never trust restaurants' reviews in Phoenix after this. The service was cool but the food was not good at all. I was so disappointed when I left. I suspect the great reviews are from influencers or a related party. I was duped.

Wow--what a hidden gem! This has officially become my new go-to sushi spot. I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday evening, and although it wasn't very busy, the atmosphere was perfect. Our server was so kind--they even comped our edamame and surprised us with an extra discount in honor of the restaurant's 10-year anniversary. Such a thoughtful gesture! The food was incredible--fresh, flavorful fish and the edamame was spot on. We also ordered two deep-fried rolls, and they were gone so fast I didn't even have time to take a picture (always a good sign!). Everything tasted amazing. I'm so glad we found this place and can't wait to come back very soon!

Shrimp tempura, salmon crunch and calamari crunch rolls

I was hoping to give Sushi Bros 5 stars but sadly this visit and the last few have been a bit of a letdown. I decided to stop in for a quick lunch with my daughter. We ordered our usual, gyoza, calamari tempura crunch roll, salmon crunch roll and the shrimp tempura roll. The gyoza were nice and crispy and tasty but once the rolls arrived they were a bit of a mess. The rolls were so loosely rolled that when you tried to pick them up they immediately fall apart, everything in the center separated from the seaweed and rice. Not only were the rolls very loose and sloppy but the flavor was just not there. We used to love sushi bros but we are finding the quality has decreased and the prices have risen. The waiter was friendly and tentative and the restaurant was very clean, but it's not enough to reel me back.

Definitely a vibe for anime lovers! Food-wise, we started with the gyoza and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked and even better dipped in the ponzu sauce! We also tried the sushi flight, which was a great way to sample a few different flavors. Overall, I really enjoyed it, although the eel was probably my least favorite of the flight just personal preference. The crispy tuna rice was easily the star of the meal! Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly, cool, and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The great service, fun atmosphere, and crispy tuna rice are enough for me to give Full Moon Izakaya another try. Next time, I'll be exploring more of the menu!

I like their ginger seafood dipping sauce, but I absolutely cannot stand Dijon taste, and that's what they use for their meat, a mustard sauce. I really wish there was an alternative. The meat seemed to be cooked well and the steak to my boyfriend's liking, flavor was good. We got Lucky to try a sample of the Seabass and holy moly!!! literally melting butter in your mouth! I've served in restaurants for 20 years, at elite places such as, Hillstone along with Chelsea's Kitchen and Buck and Rider, and I am appalled by the behavior of the staff tonight. I discourage anyone from coming into this place. The service is underrated. And as a paying customer, enjoying a meal with a friend, I am very disturbed that they would kick us out before closing time. This lady walks around and says "closed, closed" and starts turning off all the lights. I said "Oh the website says you close at 10pm" and the lady with the top knot bun and glasses said "yeah, but no one is in here so we are closed." Ummm we were in there. Poor hospitality on their part. Not worth it. Go somewhere else. Sushi Michi on 16th st & Bethany, or Full Moon Izakaya Sushi and Ramen, is way better and they don't close earlier because they didn't have any walkins at the point, nor do they kick people out before closing time. Also when we left a car had just pulled up to grab dinner. Turning away customers is poor ethics on behalf of Cherry Blossom. No wonder no one goes here and everything is so out dated. ALSO I had asked for a wine sample to decide which wine I wanted and our waitress said "we don't do samples". Okay well every other restaurant I've been to and worked at has samples. What a way to miss a sale. Wine was $15 a glass. Wouldn't you want that to improve your check average? These people are turning away money. So sad

I stopped in at 5 p.m. sharp on a Thursday, and there was already a line out the door. That said, getting a table for one wasn't a problem. The atmosphere is definitely rambunctious. It was extremely loud and energetic, although no one was being disorderly. Personally, I found it unpleasant. I ordered a spider roll, which is a longtime favorite of mine across different states and restaurants. Unfortunately, Hiro's version didn't work for me. It came with a mayonnaise-style sauce that wasn't listed on the menu, and I've never encountered that preparation on a spider roll before. The pieces were also unusually large and awkward to eat. I would have preferred more moderate, bite-sized portions. I also found the pricing to be on the high side compared with other sushi spots; that applied across the board, from appetizers to rolls. I'm glad I finally gave Hiro Sushi a try. It just wasn't a match for my personal preferences. Three stars for me, but clearly a Scottsdale favorite for many.

We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.
