It was our first time to try this restaurant today. The restaurant was small and cozy, but the food was delicious! We ordered Agadashi, Tamago nigiri, Pure Butterfly (scallops), MVP (salmon), and Dragon (eel) roll! They were all tasty! Service was excellent as well. They were all friendly and checked on us a few times. I knocked one star down because it although delicious, they were quite pricey. Hoping to be back next time to try the other rolls.

This was our second time here. My husband and I call it our hidden gem. The food is very delicious and they give you a lot. The first time we came we each had a sushi roll and a plate. That turned out to be way too much food for us. This time we had appetizers and a plate still too much food for me, but the right amount for my husband. The plate comes with miso soup, spring salad, macaroni salad, rice and choice of meat. Unless you order the Yakisoba, then your plate is filled with noodles and chicken or tofu. I had mine with tofu, it was nicely cooked. Our appetizer was crab wonton... this was very delish, I highly recommend this. Since we always show up before the rush. It's quiet. Tv is on low. The service is great. Everyone there is very friendly. Really worth a try.

The wontons were so crispy on the outside and creamy crab mix inside, plus the sauces really compliment it. We also ordered the fried Philadelphia roll, captain crunch roll, and the Vegas roll! All very delicious. Miso soup was good but a little over powering than usual.

My expectations were low but after my meal, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with my experience. Although the restaurant is small, the menu and specialty rolls are huge - they do offer outdoor dining too. Myself and two friends split the house boat, which was $140, and we didn't even finish it, but I was so impressed with the sushi cuts, the quality, and the display itself. A great date night idea would be to split the love boat - you just get a great mixture of sashimi, nigiri, and rolls. Service was so-so, but I also can acknowledge that they had teen servers. They're learning. It's nothing that would prevent me from coming back.

    Lunch special. California roll delish!

We live right by this place and often get takeout here. I highly recommend their chirashi bowl which costs about $25. In my opinion, the fish quality and thickness is very good for the price and it is a great portion size. This time we dined in and sat in their outdoor patio area. It was a bit intimate as we were very close to other tables, but it was nice to enjoy the summer evening. We ordered about 7 things. The servers were attentive, quick to grab our order and bring out plates, and refilled our waters at a timely place. Tempura was not my favorite (the coating was a bit heavy), but not bad. The sushi is comparable to other places at this price point and it hits the spot for a casual dinner!

As a local I'm disappointed to see how skimpy they've gotten with the fish in specialty rolls. There was barely any eel in the unagi roll, refer to the pic for a visual. I don't mind paying a premium for good sushi but this came with a high price just for rice and veggies. Rolls are also tiny compared to other sushi restaurants. Maybe it's because it was a take out order? Sad to say this is the last time I'll be visiting since there are other competitors in the area.

Wow. Great sushi! They have unique specialty sushi rolls at a good price range. The fish felt high quality and fresh. The rolls are presented beautifully and made well (they don't fall apart and aren't grossly oversized nor sadly undersized). I ate one roll and 1 cup of miso soup and was happily full. They have quite a variety of other sashimi, nigiri, appetizers, and bowls. They also serve a variety of sweet to dry sake, a few different beers, and some Japanese sodas. The roasted green tea is complimentary and free refills. That tea is soooo good. A somewhat smaller, more intimately sized restaurant but you can go there in casual clothes as we did. They had football playing on the TV when we were there and some fun Japanese and sports decorations in the wall. Fast, friendly service. Good food. Can't wait to come back for their crazy good deal lunch bentos.

Really solid, cozy local sushi spot with lots of great specialty rolls to choose from. I was glad that there were a few seared options, which feels a little more elevated. I was impressed by their teriyaki - big portions, and surprisingly good macaroni side that i would have been willing to order as-is. Be aware that the spicy teriyaki chicken is truly spicy!

We like to try places in the Renton area because it's the halfway point between our homes. This week we went to Mori Sushi in the Renton Landing. Immediately upon walking in I felt the interior to be very comfortable, welcoming and tasteful. Our server was terrific. Very helpful since my friend isn't so familiar with sushi. He ordered a specialty roll, a Hot Dream, which he really enjoyed. I was concerned that there would not be enough food for him but it was the perfect amount. I had the Chirashi bowl--high quality ingredients. We both agreed that this is a restaurant we would return to and that is my highest rating!

Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.

I think the the portions are somewhat generous, especially when you order the large teriyaki. The restaurant will pay less fees if you use the system on their own website, which is the case with all restaurants. Running restaurant has narrow margins so if you like them, help them survive! Many speaking mandarin, lots speaking English. But anytime I go to a place and it's not filled with Americans but the people the cuisine represents, it's always a good sign. Typical and traditional for a family dinner experience with Chinese food. As it's meant to be served and shared with everyone. You don't typically order your own plate. On our visit we ordered the Westlake beef soup, fried eggplant with spicy garlic, seafood chow fun with gravy, and the salt and pepper fried chicken wings. Every single dish was served piping hot and fresh. The chow fun had a hint of the wok char which is super important. And each dish was delicious. The eggplant was so tasty. The garlic extra crispy and not bitter at all. The crispy coating around the tender eggplant- exceptional! The chow fun was well balanced. The seafood cooked perfectly. The chicken wings, I only wish it had more topping on it. But fried well, light batter and seasoned to perfection. The soup was light and with a little white pepper, I was so satisfied. We will definitely be back. The service was great. They were friendly. Just a tip, they don't take American Express.

Back in the day, that exact location used to be a Shari's -- my parents' favorite go-to dinner spot when we wanted a simple family night out. Pancakes, pie, comfort food, booth conversations. Now? It's a Japanese hibachi grill. Full circle. Same building. Different era. New memories. The Experience The food? Good. The prices? Fine. The atmosphere? Great. The service? Okay. But the chef? The chef was the absolute star. He didn't just cook -- he entertained. He engaged everyone at the table. He made it a show. He made it a celebration. That's what you want for an 18th birthday. The fire. The chopping. The jokes. The crowd reactions. You could see my grandbaby soaking it in. And that matters more than anything.
