Teryaki and.. something that doesn't look like the photo at all. Wasn't bad at all but nothing special either.
    Trav H.

The restaurant itself is pretty bland and typical of a Teryaki spot. There's nothing on the walls, and it was pretty quiet while I was there, no music, just the sound of the guy cooking in back. The lady at the cash register seemed very nice. I wanted to give this place 4 stars but it's just so generic there's nothing at all that stands out. Parts of the menu have fallen off or are sun bleached out of legibility.. a few meal items are just missing a price altogether. My meal was $17 and I got a can of Dr Pepper for $2. 4 people came in to get to-go orders while I was there and all of them seemed like me; on a whim for Teryaki. I really have no reason to go back when there's "I Luv Teryaki." And "Teryaki town II"

    Chicken katsu, with "salad"...

My husband and I have been wanting to try out Teriyaki Wok for a few years now after moving close by but never got around to it until recently. Sadly, we weren't impressed and wouldn't return or recommend. The teriyaki chicken was really dry, and the sauce didn't taste as expected - maybe not as sweet as your normal teriyaki sauce? And the salad it came with just looked sad (see photos if you need a visual). The chicken katsu was a bit better with tastier sauce. My husband also mentioned it was pricier than other teriyaki spots too? Not sure though since prices have been going up at other places during Covid too. Portions were decent (maybe too much rice actually) - comparable to most teriyaki spots. Anyways, wished we could continue to support this local spot, but we'll be traveling a bit farther from home instead when we want teriyaki again.

Little bit on the menu but the food was decent.. plenty of drinks to chose from. Great customer service.

It was ok. Like other reviews, the price is high for the portions we get. I got the special for the day which was Mongolian chicken and teriyaki chicken and asked for the spicy kind and it was not spicy at all, it tasted like regular teriyaki. The sauce on the teriyaki was super sweet and thick as well. The katsu was good though. I asked for no rice but add more salad but i should have gotten the salad to get my money's worth cause the salad that they gave me was not that much more. Overall there are definitely better places with better quality and price, I'm probably not going to come back unless I'm too lazy to drive since this is close to home

Got the chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki. Chicken meat was decent but didn't like the beef. Also, didn't like the sauce too much.

We picked up an order to go. The chicken teriyaki + gyoza combo was great. We'll be back.

Felt right at home and was a short distance from my place too. The miso soup brought me back to life after a long day working!

It's an average spot. The prices are high and the place is sparse. The counter girl was nice but overall experience was average at best.

This place is legit teriyaki. Yeh it's a little run down but the food is grub and fairly priced. It's our go-to for teriyaki!

Poor prep. Teriyaki chicken is cold and drenched in warm bbq sauce. Edible if in a bind but def don't recommend.

We like to try places in the Renton area because it's the halfway point between our homes. This week we went to Mori Sushi in the Renton Landing. Immediately upon walking in I felt the interior to be very comfortable, welcoming and tasteful. Our server was terrific. Very helpful since my friend isn't so familiar with sushi. He ordered a specialty roll, a Hot Dream, which he really enjoyed. I was concerned that there would not be enough food for him but it was the perfect amount. I had the Chirashi bowl--high quality ingredients. We both agreed that this is a restaurant we would return to and that is my highest rating!

They are a japanese sushi place (sibling restaurant…read moreto Aji Sushi in Newcastle, from what I heard), with a couple korean dishes on the menu as well. Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.

18 & On Fire at Mizu Steakhouse…read more We celebrated my grandbaby's 18th birthday at Mizu in Renton. And let me tell you... life is funny. Back in the day, that exact location used to be a Shari's -- my parents' favorite go-to dinner spot when we wanted a simple family night out. Pancakes, pie, comfort food, booth conversations. Now? It's a Japanese hibachi grill. Full circle. Same building. Different era. New memories. The Experience The food? Good. The prices? Fine. The atmosphere? Great. The service? Okay. But the chef? The chef was the absolute star. He didn't just cook -- he entertained. He engaged everyone at the table. He made it a show. He made it a celebration. That's what you want for an 18th birthday. The fire. The chopping. The jokes. The crowd reactions. You could see my grandbaby soaking it in. And that matters more than anything. The Vibe It's one of those places you go when you want: * Food cooked right in front of you * A little drama with your dinner * Laughter at the table * An interactive experience It's not just eating. It's participating. And honestly? Watching generations sit around that grill -- remembering Shari's from back in the day while celebrating 18 years of life -- that hit different. Time moves. Buildings change. But family dinners? Those stay sacred. My Flava Rating 8 Flava Snaps I'd recommend it for anyone wanting a fun, entertaining, cook-at-your-table experience -- especially for birthdays or group celebrations. The chef carried the night. And that's not a small thing. -- Lady Flava LadyFlavaNews
