I ordered online. I specified on the delivery instructions where is located the house to avoid any confusion. I waited almost 2 hours... and then he called me, upset, because I wasn't opening the door. I came out and he was at my neighbor. Okay mistakes can happen I understand and I'm not blaming. But he was the one angry (after I waited almost 2h remember...) and when I tried to explain him why he was wrong, he just kept repeating "tips tips". I have never seen someone so rude. And when I told him that is rude, he went away saying "no more orders". You can be sure of that! Then the tempura maki has been made with old fried shrimps (soft with the oil taste) and of course the soup was cold. Overall a terrible experience. read more

Fast service, fresh food and a very friendly staff. Great lunch special deals, however I would suggest they include other sides to add under their combinations such as gyoza instead of just sushi rolls. The location is small and cozy and can easily be missed since its on the corner of a tiny lot at the bottom of a large hill. Overall, a great grab and go place. read more

Ordered two sushi platters. The sushi tasted briny and not fresh. The tuna tasted like it was refrigerated and stored for way too long. The rice quality is very low, way too cold and not tasty. I had to force every piece of sushi just because it would be a waste. Overall quality is very low. Will never order from here again. Great sushi and rolls. The owner understands that "rice" is the most important ingredient in the sushi. Highly recommend unagi from here. I know he doesn't start with a live eel in the kitchen just like most of the Japanese restaurant, but he is doing something different. It is lot better than other, even more pricer restaurants. Delivery can get slow, so it's better if you go pick it up yourself. Most of sushi and rolls I had from here over the years were good to excellent considering the price. As long as you are not expecting Sushi Yasuda quality, it is a great compromise. You could pay double the price you pay here but you wouldn't get much better sushi. read more

Ok quality for the price, nothing spectacular but fills the stomach when you are hungry and in the mood for sushi without the desire to break the bank. Convenient take out spot with decent seating area, although I rarely see people sitting there. But they are generally busy, hence I'd guess most of their business are pickup/delivery. Depending on my mood, I could stop by there multiple times a week or not order anything there for a few months. If you live in the Edgewater/Cliffside Park/Fort Lee/North Bergen area and like to eat sushi regularly, it's good to include this place on your quick dinner pick up option list. By far the best sushi in jersey, sorry I don't know any other place that has better spicy tuna, and special rolls; and I tried absolutely everyone. I'm an extremely picky eater and this place is amazing. The seaweed is exactly the right texture, the tuna is perfectly flavored, and the owner Park is the best. YAE you may have some issues with delivery but I personally spoke to the owner and he's trying to improve. My wife and I have been going to this sushi place for 4 years now and we knew the old owner as well. The old owner sucked! But ever since the new owners, Dan and his family, moved in the place has been the best it's ever been. I haven't had a bad plate yet and I've tried it all. Some of these reviews are bazaar. Good news: I did not get a good poisoning. Bad news: this was the worst sushi I had in years. Yellow tail roll was incredibly salty and was made out of some grey chopped fish. Mackerel maybe? Boston roll was falling apart and slices were about 1/4 inch thick. Never had it smaller than 1 inch. Go back to sushi school? California roll was mainly rice and no flavor. It's very affordable for what you receive. Sushi lunch combo is by far my favorite. I tend to rate higher in the food experience for the price more than the experience of this the space...this place would have gotten 5 after the first few visits..... but the last one was not great. I didn't get sick, but the fish in my usual platter was definitely different. The fish felt slimy and my usual favorite piece tasted off on the first bite...the second piece was down right rubbery. The worst sushi in NJ. That is how I feel about this poor excuse for a sushi place. Not only is the decor horrendous but the food is the worst. My wife and I started to go to the Sushi Boat but it was not open around 3pm since they open for dinner. I told her to take a ride up the road to this Sushi to go place and boy did we regret it. We ordered about 3 shrimp tempura rolls, two miso soups and 2 drinks. The total was almost $50. The soup was stored in small containers and then heated in the microwave, (yuk). The table seats had tennis balls on the bottom and the placed looked gross. The sushi was not fresh at all, the shrimp was not fried on the spot but previously done (yuk again). That was our first and last time ever going there. Oh and the owner or chef had the personality of a log. Our favorite take out sushi place in Edgewater. Prices are decent and sushi is pretty fresh for a small hole in the wall. The owners are very nice and they throw in extra hand rolls when you become a regular ;) we are a huge fan of the sashimi bento box. Such a great deal for a ton of sashimi. I love the sushi here. The quality of sushi is amazing. The fishy smell and aftertaste that sashimi usually has isn't present in Sushi To Go Express's sashimi. Really good for delivery sushi, and the delivery part is just another plus for someone swamped with work and cant get out of the house. read more
