My review is not reflective of the sushi, only because I eat very basic veggie sushi (avocado and cucumber rolls and an assortment of such). I love shrimp also, so I come in and see a tempura shrimp roll with a little crab inside topped with avocado. Basically what I love. I grabbed the only 3 I could find on the belt and ate almost all of them. I couldn't find a picture of this roll on the menu am I saved the last bite to show the waitress. Very long story short. I ordered two more. The original plates were orange. I was handed ONE plate. And it was blue. $.75 difference. No big deal. It's the principal though. He then proceeded to put 3 plates of the same roll on the belt with teriyaki drizzled on top. And before you start to question if the blue plate had a double order like some places do, it didn't. Same amount of sushi. I grabbed the next 3 plates and ate them because that was the only roll appetizing to me. I'm really just writing this in hopes that the owners acknowledge this and make sure they stay consistent. I may not return because the chef rolled his eyes at me twice and consistency is key. Once when I ordered the sushi, another time when I wanted more spicy mayo. I'm going to take it with a grain of salt and move on but I figured you should be warned, just in case it happens to you. read more

Sushi is really great here, they seem pretty quick too the part where they lose a star from me, comes from when the servers have attitudes about their spicey mayo (lol i know right what a silly way to lose a star) but the first time i ordered in person, i forgot to add the spicey mayo when i was being charged and added it at the end when I actually received my order. clearly my bad, but the person told me in a pretty rude way "Next time add it when you're actually making your order" I was embarrassed, but at the same time I honestly just forgot. I would've been HAPPY to pay for it in a separate transaction. Spicy mayo honestly makes the sushi for me The second time I ordered through postmates, and added spicy mayo in my order and then got a note on my box I ORDERED IT IN THE SPECIAL REQUESTS section. The Tax Deduction was off at the Grandma's house and that means one thing to the Adults in the house. Sushi night! We talked about our usual haunts but opted for something a little new to us so we shoehorned our way into the Yelpmobile and shot off to the Sushi Factory for some conveyor delicacies. When we got there we were very surprised to see it was $1.50 a plate night but $1.00 plates were still just a buck. I figured they were trying to keep up with Sushi Hana, but it was still exciting to try a new place. In we walked, it was largely empty so we had the pick of the place, a nice change of pace from the usual places we go. As I sat down I watched a few things move on by and noticed that all the plates said, "Sushi Hana" on them. Well, that was a little surprising. We gorged on California Rolls, Dragon Rolls, Rainbow Rolls and Oregon Rolls. We tried some iffy tasting Moshi Ice Cream and decided we were done. When all was said and done it was a Sushi Hana in wolfs clothing. Not bad, not great... 24 hours later we haven't had any adverse effects. That one time you should of paid attention to the yelp reviews and not say, I'm hungry what's the worse that can happen. Read the reviews...my experience. I stopped in around 430 on a Wednesday night. Yes the place is dirty. Your shoes stick to the floor. The soy sauce containers were super sticky and the fiber was two different colors and the container was so cloudy from never being clean. Everything on the belt was old...and the sushi chef wasn't making anything new. It all tasted cold, old, and not fresh. The best part I get sick the next morning! Yea me! Never again. read more

Prices are pretty reasonable for rolls, but the "poke bowl" they offer is pretty sad, even for $6. While both of my coworkers felt fine after eating, I had to take myself home with an upset stomach. My family use to love this business but when owners changed a few years ago it drastically went down. I have eaten only twice in the last few years here and every time I have eaten there the sushi was at room temp and I got food poisoning both times. The service was decent but while I was eating I had a straight shot to see a worker in the back cutting something that looked uncooked on a cutting board in the back on the FLOOR. Just an average Sushi go around place. They didn't have a huge assortment available on the ramp unfortunately. A lot of the same five plates over and over again. I ended up eating the same three plates. All were just okay. I have a feeling we probably sit out all day, but thankfully I got there earlier in the afternoon. Service was subpar. The gal who greeted me was nice enough and checked in intermittently, but the woman who rang me out didn't say a word to me; just held her hand up for my ticket, rang the total, didn't tell me what it was, took my cash, and mumbled, "Have a good day." That lost them a star easily. At least ask me how my meal was! I actually found myself thinking that I don't want to give any more of my money to this place, hence why I left after about 20 minutes. I've tried ordering from this restaurant three times. Two of these times the orders were missing food and/or instructions were not followed. What is the point in writing in instructions such as "no spicy sauce please" or "no wasabi or ginger" if they aren't even going to bother to read them? Food is good when you actually get what you ordered and instructions are followed. Absolutely not worth driving back and forth when the order is incorrect. We went here before reading the other reviews on Yelp. Big mistake. I'm sure it was probably a good restuarant back in the day, but as other reviews have said, it was dated and looked dirty. What's more, it was Friday night and only two people appeared to be working. As a result, nobody was getting what they ordered. The chef seemed aloof and not interested in doing his job. Our meal was almost over before anyone even asked us what we wanted to drink. There appeared to be cross contamination of food. We won't go here again. Sushi Factory is under new management. Unfortunately, they kept the name from the previous owners not knowing of the bad reputation it had for it's poor quality sushi. I had vowed to never eat at that place again, and I told my friends how terrible it was.. My hunger and wallet (I only had 10 dollars and it was happy hour...) got the best of me so I gave it another shot. I was surprised that the sushi was insanely better then the last time I visited so I asked my waitress about the owners who, come to find out, have only had the place for around a year or so. I am not comparing the Sushi Factory to 'fine dining' Sushi, it is a conveyer Sushi shop, but for what it is I think this place has great prices and is a quick bite with fresh ingredients! I've been there on 4 separate occasions and left happy and full, and with change to spare! If you had a bad experience in the past I suggest to give it another go. Used to love this place, until I took my family to dinner on a weekday afternoon. My 4 year old son started shouting "BUG, MOM BUG!" There was a live cockroach on the table running around the edge of a bowl of food. The waitress (only white person working there ever) deducted the price of just the single bowl of food, and point blank told me the entire bldg. had been fighting the roaches for a couple years now, and that the asian staff pretend they don't know what people are talking about when it gets discovered and panic ensues. In my opinion, it is a very serious infestation for the roach to come out in daylight in a high traffic area. It was hardly startled when I tried to cover it with one of the sushi plate lids. Ordered on DoorDash tonight and I thought the food was great for the price. The miso soup was still hot. The sushi was rolled well and tasted fresh. The poke was simple (salmon, cucumbers, and sauce), but good. And the sesame balls were delicious: perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. So I had to do an order here for DoorDash one time and that's how I found out about this place. Back in the day this place used to be pretty awesome. But, over time, business has been declining and so has the food quality. I considered it to be a complete joke and there were times I got sick, yet I soldiered on because the place in the mall was expensive, and ironically shut down due to tax evasion (whoops). This has to be the worst place for sushi in the Vancouver Mall area. I stopped by anyways because it's cheap and you get what you pay for I guess. It's conveyor belt sushi and most items look like they have been around the block for a while but you can also order items directly from the chefs or from a waitress to ensure the freshy fresh. I decided the fish today looked a little on the gamey side and ordered a Chicken Katzu directly from the waitress instead. I buried my head in a book and 5 minutes later I looked up to see the waitress walk out with my food. She then handed the plate to another waitress who walked it right past me and threw it into a dirty dish bin. "That certainly couldn't have been my food", I thought. Even though it looked like a pristine plate of Chicken Katzu. When the waitress came back I again ordered a Chicken Katzu and she said, "Sure, another Chicken Katzu!", as if I had eaten the first one. I pretended like I didn't see them throw the first plate away and I hope the second plate wasn't the first plate taken out of the dirty dish bin but I have my suspicions. read more
