    AYCE sushi

pretty good experience; i plan on coming back! my boyfriend and i went here for their all-you-can-eat option and it was very fulfilling! the place is very small, almost cramped, but cozy. while the AYCE menu is smaller in comparison to their regular menu, it still contained many choices. you're only allowed to order 4 rolls at once. for every piece you do not finish, they add $1 onto your bill. my only issue is the speed at which sushi is delivered. our server only took our order whenever she saw that our plate was completely empty. there'd be a little delay (~10 minute wait) in between each plate we ordered, making it harder to enjoy the AYCE aspect. however, i understand they might do this to eliminate food waste. overall, i would absolutely recommend for those looking to save on sushi !

Vibes have always been good and chill. I've come here so many times bc Moraga has NOTHING and here are my tips: - the lunch special is UNMATCHED in this economy - all you can eat sushi is only worth if you can reliably down 3+ rolls - all you can eat is only weekdays, NOT including Friday - they aren't stingy with sashimi, kind of $$ tho - never had a problem with service - can get crowded on weekends, only got ~8 tables

5 - Stars for Another one of my local Hwy 24/680 freeway corridor of Japanese Restaurants. Moraga, CA's "Sushi Fighter" at ' Happy Hour ' dinner time ! The signature dish that ( if available ) is the yardstick used for measurement : Hamachikama -- brief mouthwatering description here: Hamachi Kama (はまちのカマ) is the collar of the yellowtail located just above the gills and below the head. It is the fattiest part of the fish, making it naturally juicy, and there are two located in each yellowtail (one per side). Typically, Hamachi is grilled or broiled until the skin is crisp. . . Deliciously prepared and highly satisfying to eat with the Ponzu dipping sauce. Seaweed Salad so fresh with that crunch! My 'Order Two-rolls' for $10.00 were the .. Tuna Avocado and .. Spicy Tuna Bonus if you have young adults with you, they have their own menu "which is very reasonable" said a parent who was also waiting to be seated. Important: Many To-Go orders during dinner since seating is tight but, go visit in-person so that you can be the judge. One, two, three, four, FIVE Stars ! I approve of this rating, Jay M.

Tucked away in Walnut Creek, this is the perfect intimate, casual sushi spot for a relaxed date night or dinner with friends. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and fresh ingredients made for an outstanding dining experience. We started with the shrimp and vegetable tempura, which arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly light without feeling greasy. It was the ideal appetizer to share. For our rolls, we ordered the Volcano Roll, featuring spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, and the Arizona Roll, made with crab and topped with seared albacore. Both were beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The freshness of the fish was the star of the meal. The seared albacore on the Arizona Roll practically melted in your mouth, and every bite had a clean, fresh taste that showcased the quality of the ingredients. The Volcano Roll delivered a delicious combination of textures and flavors, with just the right amount of spice and crunch. Nothing was overpowering--you could truly taste the freshness of the fish and the care that went into each roll. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. Service was prompt without feeling rushed, allowing us to enjoy the meal at a comfortable pace. Fresh fish, crispy tempura, creative rolls, and exceptional hospitality make this a standout sushi destination in Walnut Creek. The only downside? Once you finish your last piece, you'll wish you had ordered more. We enjoyed our experience so much that we're already looking forward to coming back to try the omakase, which will definitely be on our next order.

I came here for dinner on Tuesday in June. Food was good. Had the chirarshi don and it came with miso soup. I wish the chirashi don had more veg and add ons like I've had at other restaurants. But not a bad experience at all. It's on the Main Street so I parked in a nearby parking garage.

I especially loved their salmon in each of the bowls. It tasted nice and fatty and creamy. I loved the other fish as well though! I also felt that they did their tamago very well. Typically when I get tamago I feel like other restaurants don't get the texture correct and it can come out overcooked/rubbery so I don't end up finishing it. The tamago here was the perfect texture and the flavor/sauce made it really delicious. The texture of the rice in each bowl was great as well. The servers were both really nice and attentive throughout our meal which is always appreciated. I highly recommend sitting outside on the patio if the weather is good! I don't mind paying their high prices for fresh sushi, but the quality of their fish has been really bad. My fingers still smell fishy from picking off the "salmon" off the Honey Sake roll, which was basically a 2 mm thick piece of brown meat and not a real piece of sushi grade salmon. I still have a fishy after-taste in my mouth despite brushing my teeth. If this was a one-off experience, I would brush it off. However, when only one take-out order has been good out of the past 6-7 orders, it is time to move on. I wouldn't even try the new Yakitori restaurant they opened next door. I just hope I don't get food poisoning as my stomach is cramping right now. Hugely disappointed.

It took around 30 minutes for my order to arrive, which was reasonable. For the bento, I selected the veggie tempura, chicken katsu, and spicy tuna roll. There is a large serving of rice, a salad, and a small bowl of miso soup that also comes with this order. Starting with the chicken katsu, the meat was still juicy while the outer crust was both airy and crunchy. Although fried, it didn't become soggy and the chicken was still moist. There were a couple sauces it came with - one reminded me of a sweet mustard/mayo combo which was my favorite and it tasted amazing with the other items in the bento as well. For the veggie tempura, the outer layer was thin, light and had a nice crispy texture to it. It did not fall apart and was still coated the vegetables well. I was able to get broccoli, carrot, and slices of sweet potato - they were delicious and one of my favorite bites! It's also delicious with the dipping sauce it comes with. The spicy tuna roll was wrapped tightly and a good ratio of tuna to rice. If you have a high spice tolerance, it may not be very spicy to your tastebuds. The tuna tasted fresh and the rice was delicate and evenly cooked. I appreciated the large serving size of each dish in the bento and 100% agree it's a great value for what you get. I'd love to come here again and try more of their items!
