The food was amazing, but it did not take away from the bad atmosphere and apparent racism my partner and i experienced. The waiter immediately sequestered us from her other tables, did not tend to us AT ALL. As a former server i was beyond disappointed and appalled because regardless of the fact that we were the ONLY people of color we still deserve to be treated and served with respect. The server forgot my partners food not only once but 3 times, we had to ask her for water for the entirety of our visit. It used to be more of cucumber and shredded crabs but now they filled it with stringy carby noodles which decreased its taste and quality. Worst place ever, bad management and service. Stay away. I gave my 4 years old son one edamame , and they freaked out because I wasn't technically allowed since he's ordering from the menu and my wife and I are ordering from all you can eat. It was just pathetic. They lost a customer who has been in this place for more than 10 times for one edamame. Current Management needs a lot of training. They come in a first come, first serve basis and my boyfriend and I had to wait but it wasn't long at all which was nice. We first ordered appetizers and got beef and shrimp tempura. The beef was super good, so we got it again later, and the shrimp tempura was pretty dry. We both just got our usual sushi, which was the super crunchy roll and it had a wrap around the sushi (we assume to help keep it together) but it made it very dry and they barely had any teriyaki sauce which didn't help. For dessert, my boyfriend got the banana tempura and he liked it and I got the ice cream tempura which was pretty dry given that the sushi was already dry. To cap off the night, I decided to get the vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup which helped with the dryness of the meals. Regarding service, our server was really nice! However, I was a little disappointed that the robot didn't come to our section since I wanted to try and get the full experience. I truly used to love this restaurant. They were relatively quick, and had very good food. My opinion about this restaurant changed yesterday and they have officially lost not only my business, but my family and friends. After getting to their restaurant at 6:15 they said it would be a 20 minute wait. 45 minutes later, we got seated. At 7, we informed our waiter that we had a very important event that we had to leave for around 8. The second we sat down we ordered. Not only did our waiter inform us that it would be no problem we got our appetizers immediately. After another 45 minutes of waiting, we saw our food ready and waiting to be served. Our waiter was sitting on her phone right next to our food not serving anyone for 20 minutes. Eventually part of our party had to leave, in order to not miss the event. The manager was disrespectful and did nothing. We left with empty stomachs, and half of our party missed a very important event. I would not recommend for anyone who would actually like their food that they ordered to be served within 2 hours of them ordering. read more
