Been going there for years, usually at night when the rush is gone. The owner always greets me as "his friend" when he's there and I know the rest of the family there as well. Decent food, very reasonably priced and the free Saki on Friday and Saturday is a bonus. No parking cept on the street and that can be a pain some nights but it's rare. I've never had a "bad" meal there. Their dumplings are great as are their rolls. Its not going to be gourmand fare but it's fast and tasty. read more

Sushi king is a solid Chinese restaurant. It is definitely a take out restaurant with some seating available. Vegetarians take note: the tofu dishes are great, and they will make nearly any dish with tofu for you, even if it's not on the menu. Even when I started eating meat again, I would still order the General Tso's tofu because they know how to make tofu tasty. I'm not into raw fish, so I can't comment on that. But if you think of Sushi King as a yummy take out Chinese restaurant instead of a sit-down Sushi place, your expectations will be met. I also really like their wonton and miso soups and recommend their white meat general tsos. read more

Staff is very rude. Whenever I try to give them a chance I'm left disappointed. They don't let you substitute anything like a normal sushi place and told me there's "no such thing as yellow rice". Argued with me about yellow rice being chemically dyed which I found hilarious because I make yellow rice at home from white jasmine with fragrant and colorful seasonings such as sazon, sassfron, turmeric, smoked paprika.... the condescending tone of these workers was atrocious. Overpriced for cheap ingredients the most expensive ingredient they use is the cream cheese. read more

We had a big order for delivery from here. They messed up a whole order. They did not give us the salmon sashimi that we ordered and gave us shrimp tempura roll instead of the shrimp tempura appetizer. Also, we only ordered three seafood udons, but they charged us for four. And when I called back, they yelled at me saying that I wasn't being clear. I'm really surprised to see such low reviews for Sushi King. I love this place, I'm not entirely sure how the meals are with meat since I don't eat meat but if you want some good sushi I would definitely recommend this place. I normally would not do this rating but I need to get this out in the open so it doesn't happen to anyone else that places orders for Delivery at this Restaurant. Back in July, I placed an order on Grubhub for Delivery. My Grubhub app told me they were closed and try to make the order the next day. It did the same when I tried to order from Rusty's so I just ordered from another place nearby who came quick! I must of been asleep when both this place and Rusty's showed up. My fiancé said he got a text about not being a Sushi slave? I was confused so I read his text and it was the Delivery driver of Sushi King complaining about how he was working overtime and that he was not a Sushi Slave and just babbling on about his miserable life. Not only is that Unprofessional but not needed in my fiancé's text messages. It is inappropriate. I called the next day and left a message to straighten it out even left my number and NO ONE called me back. I am definitely not eating from this place again. The Delivery drivers are rude and think you owe them something especially a tip. read more

Just ordered delivery....shrimp fried rice had a piece of hair!!!!!!! Called restaurant, was asked how long was the hair. Said 1 1\2", was told chef said no one has long or short hair! Both times I've visited, the entire meal was out in 8-12 minutes, and it was delicious. We were the only people in the restaurant (which was a little concerning), but I noticed many take-out orders and deliveries going in and out. The waiter mixed up our soups and I'm pretty sure an entrée was incorrect, but it was so good we didn't care too much. Here's a tip: go for the green tea ice cream! read more

Take this from an actual Chinese person: This is the best place for Chinese food in Troy. The husband / wife team was very friendly and attentive, and the food was pretty authentic. Live nearby and had frequently ordered for pickup via GrubHub until tonight when for about the 6th time I get notified my order is ready, walk over to pick it up, and walk in to my order not only having not been started yet but find the staff is sitting down eating, or hidden in the back room, or scrolling through their phones. I've gone here twice(dine in) now and the sushi is really good! Tried many different rolls now and it is all fresh and delicious. Looks a little sketchy from the outside, but inside is actually pretty nice! They messed up one of the rolls ordered and they offered to bring us a brand new one, made correctly. Ordered the Crispy Duck the other night. It was literally just duck bones chopped up over rice and vegetables, there was NO meat. I think that the rating on this place is too low. I personally have not had to deal with take out service because I have always eaten in the restaurant. However I have always found their food to be delicious and fresh. After eating here a few times, I've noticed that the service is sometimes forgetful but they are extremely nice to help you out and make sure that you comfortable. The food has always been brought to me in a reasonable amount of time and they have a large menu to choose from. Although the restaurant isn't fancily decorated, if you have the time and are looking for a good meal I suggest you sit down and have some good food! read more

I am usually a big fan of Sushi King, and have ordered from them many times, but an order placed on 9/26/14 left me and my husband extremely disappointed. It took well over an hour to get our order delivered, which I could have chalked up to being overwhelmed, until I tasted my food. Everything was HIGHLY over-salted, most meals to the point of being inedible and wound up in the trash. I'm hoping this is an isolated anomaly, but I was extremely disappointed with my 9/26/14 order. read more

Use to love this place but it has gone so down hill. The last time i ordered..the food was cold, it took 1.5 hours for delivery and the order was wrong. When i called to complain the hostess acted like she couldnt understand me even though she had no problem understanding me when i ordered.
