Wasn't sure what to expect as a came in for a business lunch on a colleague's recommendation. Loved the decor and the dining room setup, staff were friendly and attentive, and the menus were big but not overwhelming. Great sushi and hibachi options with everything in between as well. I ordered the sushi and it was delicious. Will definitely come back to try their other menu items!

The food was definitely not like the photos or what we expected. "Fried duck spring roll" was in a stale flour tortilla?

Sake is a perfect spot for a group dinner. Every time I've been there for dinner it's been packed with birthday groups, but service remains quick and efficient and they don't rush the hibachi experience. I would suggest making a reservation. I love that the hibachi meals come with both noodles and fried rice. Can't wait to visit again!

i ordered pick up, i did dive into it before doing this review- the reason being, i went to yelp to see if i was the only one thinking that the oil was an issue. The Beef negamaki is delicious!! and how it is supposed to taste. Chicken habachi on the other hand is meh, the ginger salad is pretty good as well as the soup (i personally do not mind the dressing - i see the mixed reviews below). The rice tastes WEIRD!!! like something is off and i'm a sucker for rice so i'm a lil bummed, noodles and other stuff pretty good.

First of all, the atmosphere is a beautiful mix of traditional Japanese decor and upscale restaurant style. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, quick and clear. They were wonderful! We stopped by here during our day trip in the area and it was well worth it. The chicken tempura was so tender and delicious. My husband ate his whole hibachi combo because it was so good. Highly recommend this spot for some fun hibachi or a lovely meal otherwise!

5 stars for service alone. Both of our waiters were really nice & prompt to help us. We got seated really quickly as well. We came solely for sushi but the hibachi experience looked like it would be great so I would give this place a shot for that as well. We started with the pork gyoza which was cooked perfectly and good as a whole. We each did 2 rolls; the TNT (not on the online menu), the Godzilla, the Red Hot & another one not on the online menu but can't recall the name. I think we would come back here for sure

My friend took me here for dinner as I'm not from the area. The wait for hibachi was too long so we opted for a table in the dining area. I ordered a mule beverage and the pineapple fried rice and a sweet potato avocado sushi roll. Didn't snag a photo of the sushi as I devoured it up too quickly!! The pineapple fried rice was so plentiful and delicious. It had chicken and shrimp in it which I was pleasantly surprised by. I had enough to share with my girlfriend and for another meal the next day.

When is their happy hour? Is food included?

Hello, Happy Hour is Mon-Thurs. 3-6 Drink specials and $5.00 appetizers. Thank you for asking! 🍣🍶

Me and my daughter wanted to do dine in Hibachi. Do we need to make a reservation?

I would suggest a reservation. We were there at 6pm on a Thursday night and all the hibachi tables were full. And there was a hour wait. They are not filling all the seats due to covid. So there are less people at a table.

From Michael the manager, meeting & greeting us to checking in on us while we were dining, to Emma, our server waiting on us, anticipating our every single need, to the food being cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend enough how this is the go to place in upstate NY. THIS IS THE PLACE We waited for a few members of our party with two martinis at the bar, which cost $38. I deconstructed the Cosmo, which was a splash of peach and kettle one which was a three dollar of charge for an $18 drink. We had the back room for a large party (9)Servers staff were friendly and accommodating. I was surprised at how long it took too get seated. The seafood tower of lovely had asked for warm butter. The side dishes are all à la carte but the potatoes and the asparagus excellent. Mistakes were done as ordered just been prepared for price shock. I recommend the crème brûlée for dessert and the naughty Irishman coffee.. overall was a nice experience with attentive, weight, staff and creative and with a sense of humor! I personally cannot afford to go there except for very special occasions. A meal at Ruth's Chris feels like an event. There's so much anticipation. Yes, the prices are high but it seems that you get what you pay for. A wonderful meal with top notch service and ambiance. I did not find it pretentious. I was concerned that it might be. There is no dress code. While some dressed up, others were casually dressed. One man even showed up in a very wrinkled shirt and the staff treated him as well as any other guest. The wait staff is amazing. Our server was Valbon. He was gracious, helpful and very thorough in describing food preparation. My friend had a Porterhouse Steak prepared medium well done with just a bit of pink. It was a massive steak. He said it was prepared perfectly. Same for the mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don't eat much red meat. Valbon recommended the sea bass for me. It was remarkably tender. I enjoyed the sautéd vegetables, too. I was amazed that I finished my entire meal. My friend took part of his giant steak home and enjoyed it the next day. I asked for a light cocktail. A vodka-based Lemon Drop martini was recommended for me. It's a popular drink there. It was just right. Ruth's Chris is a chain. I know that some people frown on eating at restaurant chains because of quality concerns. But Ruth's Chris is fine dining and the food preparation is apparently held to high standards. Our meals were enjoyable. It was our first time trying this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. They added decorations on our table and also gave my wife a small cake and candle which was a nice gesture. Steak was great and service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and even the manager stopped at our table to greet us. We will definitely come back.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

We have stayed in Albany at the same hotel for several years and have gotten familiar with some of the restaurants in the immediate area. We ventured a couple miles away from our hotel on Wolf Road to try Delmonico's Italian Steakhouse this year. We had a reservation for8 and were seated promptly. The decor was a bit dated, but nothing to complain about. The service was good and everyone but myself got Italian pasta dishes and all said the same thing "it was ok". Seeing as the name of the place is a cut of steak, I decided to go with the Delmonico signature steak, cooked medium rare. The cut of steak I received would embarrass me if I tried serving it to a friend. The amount of edible meat was no larger than a credit card, the rest fat and grizzle. It was tough to tell if the cook temp was as requested because there wasn't enough edible to tell. When our waitress came to see if we needed to-go boxes, she knew enough not to bother with me, as there was just a plate of junk left. Luckily, without me even asking, she took my steak off the bill, which was really nice because I wasn't going to make a big stink and complain. She just knew the steak was not up to par. It's tuff to criticize this restaurant because all the other guests were satisfied, but not wowed, however, ordering the signature dish and having it be absolutely disappointing is unforgivable.

I think many fathers have an idea of how they'd like to spend their special day. This particular dad (divorced) loves bbq. So we went. An adult son came along, too. I was not prepared for the spectacle. The large parking lot on Wolf Road in Colonie was very full. There was a line of people waiting outside. Some were standing while others were seated on cushioned benches. The management had pitched a tent at the front entrance where staff took care of check-in. I'd gone online before arriving and placed our party of three on the restaurant chain's online "waitlist" system. It sent me a text message telling us what time to arrive. We were right on time. The staff checked us in and ushered us inside. We were seated at a table within about five minutes. The restaurant doesn't take reservations but its waitlist system was remarkably efficient. Kudos to the staff for making it seem effortless. There were hundreds of people dining at the restaurant and yet we were greeted by three or four staffers who took our orders, checked on us repeatedly and kept bringing us refills of those deliciously warm bread rolls. Since this is most definitely a family restaurant--there are large monitors on the walls playing goofy videos and a tablet on each table with video games--to keep both children and adults occupied. In keeping with the Western theme there are longhorn window decorations and heads of bison, antelope, billy goats and deer on the walls. Our drinks were served almost immediately. I ordered a mocktail called passion fruit sparkler just in case I needed to be the designated driver. The entrees took a bit more time. With so many people to serve, we just had to be patient. So I played the games on the tablet. The server eventually arrived with my order of the beef tips in mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables. The meal was hot and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meals. We were stuffed. I took half of my meal home. Who knew that Father's Day at the Texas Road House was a cultural event? A phenomenon of sorts. I'm still amazed how the staff made everything work so smoothly. With so many families to feed it could have ended up disastrous but it turned out to be just the opposite. My friend had a great day which was made even better when his son surprised us all by insisting on paying for the entire meal. Thanks Texas Road House.

Every restaurant has a day here and there where they just don't meet expectations, this was one of them. I did express my disappointment to the main server, who confirmed they were short staffed and apologized. Our main sever and all the gauchos were very good and friendly. The main server was on top of everything, but the gaucho service was extremely slow. My wife and son barely ate much meat due to the slow service. I ate more, but waited and waited for several cuts, which made it to our table not nearly enough. I usually finish off with the Picanha, but after asking specifically for this cut, waiting nearly 30 minutes with my family sitting impatiently, I threw in the towel and flipped my card to red and asked for the check. The steaks and meats that came out were excellent, with maybe 1 cut being a little over cooked. I know we are in a time where finding, hiring and retaining quality employees is challenging, but it's still disappointing when you pay good money for a higher end restaurant and leave disappointed. Will I go back? Of course, it is Texas de Brazil. I have dined at all 5 of their restaurants in NY and Albany is usually good, but this isn't my first disappointment at the Albany location. This was my first visit to this location and I could not have enjoyed the evening more. Our friends told us that they get busy quickly in the evening so we arrived at 6:00PM to a very warm welcome and were seated immediately. I knew that this was gong to be a good experience just from the way it started. We had to be out by 7:30 for a meeting so time was crucial/ Our very efficient server, came right over to our table and take a drink orders. She then delivered the drinks with menus and bread and asked us if we had any questions. We just wanted to sit and speak for a few minutes and enjoy our surroundings. This restaurant is a very comfortable spot where noise was not a problem even as they were filled to capacity. We all started with salads which were cool, crisp and tasty. The dinners we order included these two items: Flo's Filet®. This iconic cut has been here since opening in 1981. A very tender center cut is coated with signature Grill Seasoning and seared to lock in the classic buttery flavor. - You knew everyone enjoyed this Just from the expressions on everyone's face. I love a good chop steak and find fewer and fewer restaurants offering it. I usually have to go with a large hamburger. This was a welcome choice and really [really] good. Overall, we were all VERY HAPPY to have come here and we all truly enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to visiting a LongHorn not far from where we live. On a personal note...
