I went there because of the Yelp reviews and was soooo disappointed. The food was not what I've order and the biggest disappointment was when I receive the bill. The restaurante charge you 8% tax and that's not the legal Florida sales taxes for Miami area. I told the waitress and she acted like she didn't know and was going to talk to the owner. I never got a word and I they didn't change my bill. I will NEVER go back there. Don't even know if what they did is legal. read more

This is my first and definitely my last time. I had a stomach virus recently and when I got better I was craving sushi rolls so I decided to get a cooked roll to be on the safe side. I usually prefer sashimi! I ordered an American Dream roll which is suppose to be shrimp tempura, cucumber and masago topped with avocado. What I received was fish tempura (some cheap fish), carrots, cucumber,masago topped with avocado. The rice was so mushy. It doesn't seem to have the right texture of sushi rice that's made with vinegar and oil. It tasted like just over cooked soft rice with oil and super mushy. It was my first time and definitely the last! Clearly, if the rice is poor quality, the sashimi wouldn't be any better. It is very disappointing to be cheated out of shrimp tempura and what I received wasn't what I ordered. read more

I passed by this spot many times and one day decided to try it out being that it is located very close to my son's school. I've since been a regular. Tony, the waiter is by far the most hospitable and attentive one there. (Can't say the same of the others.) The japanese menu is extensive as well as it is very delicious! The thai menu is decent. If you're concerned about bad service, just ask for Raquel, she was our server and was extremely nice and friendly, and very attentive, especially after she knew it was our first time. The calamari is good, but definitely not worth the $7, as the portion was extremely small. Also, be prepared to wait a little bit, as I got my roll first and had to wait another 15 minutes for my boyfriend to get his. I don't know about you, but I don't like to eat until everyone has their food, so it was a torture having to stare at my roll until the other one was ready.. lol. The neighborhood-y atmosphere is a plus, everyone greets you when you come in and when you're out the door making the experience that much nicer. I'm going to say that the only reason I'm giving them a 3 star is the service but the sushi itself is GREAT. The Lucy roll is amazing amongst other things. But yeah the bathrooms aren't all that good. They can renovate it and really make it something wonderful. But at the end of the day the sushi is what you go for and its goodddddd. The Pho soup is great too. Very customizable food place. They tend to the large groups first even if you arrived before them and will often forget to bring you the beverages. They take long to take your order and leave you forgotten. Sushi Lico is the best place in Miami for sushi and Thai. My family and I have been coming here for years and it always exceeds our expectations. Surprisingly this hidden gem is located in the southwest area of Miami, but this non-happening location allows it to have a loyal customer following whom the staff get to know on a first name basis. The best part of this amazing sushi spot is since it's never turned into a franchise and has always maintained that same "family owned restaurant" feel -- if your not sure what you want, talk to Vic the owner or one of his amazing staff members and he'll whip you up a "Vic Special". The most unique item on the menu - I have yet to find at any other sushi restaurants -that for all spicy, seafood lovers is a must is the Japanese ceviche. This flavorful dish combines raw fish, dipped and marinated in spicy soy style sauce, topped with an over abundance of thinly sliced red onions. It's listed on the appetizer menu so feel free to share it with a friend . I cannot recommend a sushi roll as they are all freaking amazing. I just sat down and I was greeted by the owner. I asked about the Usuzkuri and what white fish they used and he told me wahoo. Now this dish always comes with ponzu sauce, this ponzu has a spicy twist that was just spot on. Now of you are a person that can't or doesn't like spicy well that sucks for you.
