We stopped in with the kids and ordered the Mongolian beef, chicken lo mein, and a sushi roll (rock n roll, I believe). Everything was wonderful, and there wasn't a bit of food left over. The mei fun and chicken with broccoli were good. (I grew up in Hawaii, where teriyaki chicken is a staple, so I was happy to see it on the menu.) This teriyaki chicken was worse than disappointing; it was bad. It tasted like freezer-burned chicken. I sent it back. The server seemed personally offended. Strangely, the bill included fees (about $9) for the salad and soup that were included with the teriyaki chicken, as though it was all separate. We refused to pay that, so they took it off the bill. I have visited this place three times and each time I have walked away wishing it were better. I am being nice and giving it 3 stars as I am happy to have a Sushi place finally in Green Valley that tastes fresh. A good thing about this place is that their lunch and dinner specials are reasonable. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that they are not offered on the weekends. I have ordered several tuna roll varieties and also the Golden Phoenix roll (special). All were pretty good but nothing amazing. My biggest issue is they are all rolled very small in size compared to many other places. The Phoenix roll cost $16 as a special so I was expecting more. The Chinese dishes are hit and miss. Their General Chicken is mediocre at best, though, their Orange Chicken is pretty solid. I also tried their Chicken Udon noodles and they were good. My biggest issue is the taste of the water in this place. Both times I have eaten in I got sewer tasting water. If they use water out of their soda machine they don't clean it or maybe it comes straight from the tap with no filter. Just awful, so I then asked for an iced tea. It appears to use the same skunky water and was over brewed. I normally do not drink soda but had to switch to a Diet Pepsi. The other issue I have with this place is their house salad with ginger dressing. It is $4 so I was expecting a decent size fresh salad. They brought it out of the refrigerator premade and it had like 5 pieces of cut lettuce, a few slices of tomatoes and wilted cucumbers. Service was friendly and while it is small inside they have it setup nicely with several booth and a few tables. On the other hand the restaurant is deteriorating on the inside. The banquet seats have sprung and very uncomfortable. The back move back and forth. The floor and walls need a good cleaning. The silverware was not clean enough with rice stuck on the fork. The server forgot plates. They do not set the dish on the table and describe it. Windows are dirty. Apparently they don't have a cleanup crew. So now I know why there is more take out. read more

This place does not serve Sushi. if you like sushi, don't eat here. The rice is like a big ball of dough. It has so much sugar that it sticks to everything. The salmon sake is cut so thin and out of proportion as if a toddle was playing-make-sushi! The soy sauce is water down and the container was so dirty. It's about time a sushi restaurant came to the Green Valley/Sahuarita area. I ordered the two roll lunch special with the salad. The salad was okay maybe next time I'll get the miso instead. I really enjoyed my shrimp tempura and California roll....the California roll was more substantial than I expected so I was happy. My critiques: ambience was nice but once the music stopped, nobody turned it back on so diners were stuck in awkward silence or listening to other people's conversations (restaurant is somewhat small) and my husband's yellowtail roll was a bit sloppy. Also, the menu could use some re-vamping. There are a lot of pictures of items with stickers over it which say "not available" and its difficult to find the descriptions of the different types of rolls. Overall, good option if you are craving sushi but dont want to drive to Tucson. read more

The place is falling apart. The seats are in bad shape. Walked in and walked out. So if they aren't going to keep the front decent, what does this say what could be going onbehind the scenes? Is the dishwasher working and sanitizing the dishes and utensils? I wouldn't take the chance with all the health issues going on now. Our family of four was kicked out of this place several weeks ago. Our two sons orders were served on one plate. When asked where the missing dinner was, the owners son said the cook does that from time to time. I explained that we didn't realize that? He then said he would bring my sons dinner, but we would have to pay extra for that. As he explained it to me, the owner makes them pay for their mistakes. Lovely, they admitted they made a mistake and then wanted us to pay for it! No dice! I stood up for our rights by expressing my disappointment and dissatisfaction for which we were told to leave. This was our first time in this small uninviting little place. I have never been kicked out of anywhere for anything in all of my 61 years of life. To be embarrassed for speaking up my dissatisfaction I now wear as a badge of honor right next to all of my medals I earned while serving in the US AIR FORCE. read more

Food was average BUT BEWARE if you use a credit card make sure you receive the correct card back from the server after I got home I had to go to my bank to get some cash and my card wouldn't work in the ATM outside so I went inside to a teller and tried to use it and it didn't work so I turned the card over and saw it wasn't even my card but exact same looking card BOA so they called that card owner and left a message saying they had their card and to call them back to see if they had my card. They also called the restaurant to ask if they had my card and the restaurant said no and they couldn't have made that Mistake. Then I asked the teller to review the actual charge on my card from the restaurant and it wasn't the same as the receipt I signed in my possession so I asked the bank teller to report my card as stolen/lost and cost me $5 fee. I drove to the restaurant and met the server that waited on me and told him what had happened with my card and they wanted to see the card I was given back and I had to explain to him and another employee that the bank kept the card because it was not mine and I wanted the card owner to have their card and on top of the wrong card I was charged the wrong amount which was $10+ higher and wanted reimbursed for the $5 bank fee as well. After another 35 minutes of 3 employees trying to figure out how this happened and who was charged what amount they found both original receipts and again I explained fully how it happened and then they took another 15 minutes how to figure out how to reimburse me as my card was cancelled now and they didn't have enough cash on hand to give me so I asked do you have gift cards. The girl replied yes I can issue the gift card for the amount we owe you and include the bank fee. I said ok fine ALLWAYS CHECK YOUR CARDS ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR NAME AND NUMBER IS ON THE BACK!!! read more
