I've been lukewarm on this spot because of less than satisfying experiences for myself in the past with quality & inconsistency, but the mister really likes the flavor combinations in rolls he enjoys from here. We called in a takeout order on a Saturday evening. It took several attempts to make it through, but a friendly lady eventually answered. She said it would be ready in 45-50 minutes. They've typically not had our to go orders ready at the stated time. It was busy in the restaurant that night, & it was an extra 20 minutes of just waiting around. The female staffer was apologetic. Our order with colorfully named rolls-- California Roll (avocado on the side), Show Me Yours, Fresh Flower, Who's Your Daddy, Irresistible, Playmate, Turn Me On, Melts In Your Mouth Overall, it was good & offered some tasty bites. However, some gripes... -the tempura shrimp doesn't make it through the length of the rolls -the ends of some rolls have a skimpy amount of fish on top -the Fresh Flower had such inconsistency in the size of fish that wrapped around & the amount of avocado, which made for a feeling of it being sloppily assembled read more

We were happened to be in the area and were craving for sushi, so we came here around lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were seated immediately. The service was good and prompt. Our waitress checked on us several times to refill our water. - Agedashi tofu: good crispy coating on the tofu but I wish they gave more sauce. - California roll: tasty. The portion was good and the rice layer wasn't too overwhelming. - Shrimp tempura roll: good. The shrimp tempura was crispy but it was kinda short since the end of the roll didn't have shrimp tempura. - Naked salmon (no rice): good. The sauce was very good and not overwhelming. Headline: looking for a sushi boat with a wide variety of items that include non-sushi? This is your place. I've been on a sushi boat kick lately, so when I see it on the menu it was definitely something the group is going to order. The restaurant is located in a pretty standard strip mall location but when you enter you get a restaurant that is definitely for more of an eastern theme. Lots of seating and the staff was willing to let our group choose our spot. We ordered Sake and the sushi boat. While I prefer to stick to strictly sushi, this is really a great choice for those that prefer the non raw fish items. The wide variety makes it so that everyone in the group could be happy. The portion and price was pretty good and our group of four left fufilled. The staff was extremely friendly and got us our drinks and order really quick. Stopped into Sushi Mon on a Tuesday night and the place was pretty empty, with only a few tables occupied. Service was fast from the start. We were seated right away and drinks came out quickly. Water service here is always great, and this visit was no different. Waters were always filled up. They checked on us often throughout our visit. We ordered eight rolls total, including Benfish, Scallop Maniac, and one of the no-rice cucumber-wrapped rolls. Each roll had its own unique flavor in the best way. The sauce on the Scallop Maniac is so good, it's definitely a standout. We also had miso soup, which was warm, flavorful, and not overly salty. Another solid visit to one of our favorite local sushi spots in Roseville. read more

This place is such a hidden gem. There's so many amazing things about this place. Whebbyoynwalk in its so romantic and very enchanted like. The servers, it doesn't matter which one you get each one has an amazing personality,they're all funny and amazing and take care of you. To all the amazing appetizers, rolls, chef choices if you want something that's amazing. This is where you should be going. Another highlight of this place is the name of all of their rolls and all of their specials. Take the time with your significant other while you're there and read through them. You could just get that lucky after the dinner lol. Our top go to's are: Garlic edamame, The fresh flower( no rice), melts your mouth (no rice) , El Dorado, and anything that has crunchies in it, including the one with the mango salsa panko scallop. Their Presentation is amazing, Make sure you ask for a spoon, you'll know why afterwards. Next time we are there we're going to order one of the boats and update my review then. It's definitely a place that we come to once a month and we don't even live in the area, but it's definitely worth the drive. read more

my husband & his family come here all the time, & we've started to come here more recently. their spicy edamame is so good. it's flavorful, got a good kick, & the onions & garlic in there are super tasty. as far as their rolls, my favorite is the butter me up. it has lemon to it so it's got a tarte kick, but it's super good. & we also always get the shrimp lover roll as well. the service here is amazing. the ambiance is very comforting. our favorite server is Bobo. she's the sweetest lady ever. i can't wait to come back again, definitely recommend this place for a date night too. we haven't experienced a wait, & it's never too loud or busy! read more

This place is awesome -- and bonus points for being connected to one of my all-time favorite sushi spots in El Dorado Hills... the legendary Sky Sushi. The staff here is so friendly it almost makes you suspicious, like, "Why are you so happy? Did you just eat all the good rolls before I got here?" The menu is full of delicious rolls with names that will either make you laugh or get you grounded if you say them too loud in front of your kids or grandma. (Seriously, order carefully unless you're ready for a family conversation about what a "Girl Next Door" is.) One small gripe: a lot of the rolls have filler like shrimp tempura or imitation crab, which feels a little like sushi's version of stuffing socks in your shoes to look taller. But don't worry -- there are still plenty of rolls that let the real fish shine, and those are my go-to. The prices are pretty good... though, let's be real, sushi everywhere these days costs about the same as a car payment. The vibe inside is great -- fun, welcoming, and full of energy. And yes, about ten years ago the inspectors apparently discovered some rats. But hey, who among us hasn't had a rough patch? They cleaned it up, learned from it, and now the only thing scurrying around is me when my favorite roll comes out. Honestly, a little adversity builds character -- and better sushi. read more

I need to come in and sit down for lunch or dinner instead of just ordering takeout but sometimes it's convenient and the order has always been correct. I've been coming here for years. never again after today. I made an online order, I have a couple allergies and ordered accordingly. the order was wrong. brought it back and the manager was in the back being very rude and wouldn't even give a refund after I showed Prof of payment. the manager was loud and rude about me and finally agreed to a refund. I did the right thing and paid for the food that was right, but was treated so bad that I left there crying. That used to be my favorite sushi place. Never going there again. Sad. read more

I was surprisingly impressed by this place! Decided to go for their lunch menu...2 half rolls with soup and salad for $13. (I am certain the price has gone up....my visit was over a year ago.) The service was very nice and quick. My rolls were generously portioned. Honestly with this crazy inflation, I think this place is pretty reasonable. Got there right after they opened at around noon on a Sunday. There was only one other table dining so far. When we left at around 1pm, the tables started to fill up. We ordered two miso soups, the fried calamari appetizer, the medium sashimi platter, and two side orders of rice for three people. Everything came out pretty timely, there was a period of time we had to wait to order because we weren't ready when the waitress first came to us. It was the perfect amount of food to not be super full for three people. Everything was delicious. The sauce for the calamari was kind of spicy for my parents. We asked for extra pickled ginger and they gave a lot. The sashimi was fresh and the pieces were super thicc. Came out to $68 before tip. Would come back to try some of their rolls. read more

Came here and ordered the chirashi don and BWE had the teriyaki beef bowl, both of our dishes came with miso soup. We also got the garlic edamame. My dish was good but I couldn't help thinking that something was missing. I realized that every other place that I have ordered chirashi included tobiko and seaweed, some others included soybeans. My dish had the fish and rice. Don't get me wrong. The food was delicious and the fish was fresh. I think that they can elevate it by adding more to it. Our server was excellent. She checked back with us often and refilled our drinks as desired. I would love to give five stars but I can't until they add to their chirashi don. We ordered a Sprite and a small beer, along with the chicken pan-fried gyoza and the Who's Your Daddy roll. The unique roll names were super fun, and everything tasted fresh. Stopped by when it wasn't too busy here. I was really interested in this place because of the interesting food names (lol). We ordered a couple rolls and appetizers. The miso soup was fine but nothing to get excited about, still hit the spot since it was cooler outside. We also ordered the yum yum deluxe, that's how I roll and the screaming orgasm. Out of all the items we ordered I would only order the screaming orgasm again. The yum yum deluxe said it had scallops but it was pretty much only imitation crab on top and it wasn't that great.. that was sitting on top of a basic California roll. The other roll wasn't memorable, but the screaming orgasm appetizer was yummy. Super tender and the sauce was sorta mind blowing lol. I'd come back only for that tbh. We also got the seared tuna appetizer which was..... not my favorite but I did enjoy the garlic on top. Overall it was alright. I haven't been here for a long time and was excited because their food has always been pretty good. When we walked in, they were able to seat us right away. There was no one at the sushi bar, but I'm not sure if that was off limits or if no one just wanted to sit there. We decided just to do a table so we could have more privacy. When we sat, we were greeted by a sweet server with short hair & pigtails. We ordered Sapporo &water and one house salad and one cucumber salad with miso soup before our sushi rolls. The soup and house salad came out right away. We reminded her that my cucumber salad needed to come out before the rolls. Another 15 minutes went by and I decided if the cucumber salad did come out, I didn't want it anymore. I did end up turning it away. A few minutes later, our sushi rolls came out. Mine, was the lion king, his was The Minute Man. Their Wasabi tonight was not on point. There was not even any heat when taking a bite by itself. When I asked if they had anything else, they wanted to charge $4.99 for a small size of whatever they were offering. We declined. The rolls were pretty good. We also ordered a salmon hand roll. The fish didn't seem as fresh as other places I have been to, but was not horrible. Based on my past experiences, I would give this sushi joint another try... read more

Came here with my sweet boyfriend for dinner ;) We were seated down immediately and the restaurant wasn't too crowded on a Sunday night. It's a bit dim and the restaurant is divided into two dining sections. Each table has a black cloth which is replaced after every customer. We got miso soup that came out piping hot, it helped a lot since I have a scratchy throat. We ordered four rolls which came out smaller than I anticipated but filled us up way faster than I expected. My favorite was the Butter Me Up roll, which surprisingly had big chunks of cilantro inside -- a bold move but I still enjoyed it nonetheless! The sauces used for the rolls complimented the ingredients which made me barely use soy sauce while eating. We were checked on multiple times by our server and our water cups were never empty :) hehe The food was yummy and priced very reasonably compared to other sushi restaurants.
