(It's a true mild, so could go up a level if you want a little more kick.) Most of the items were well cooked--I especially liked the seafood tofu and hotpot beef, but the beef brisket was less my preference. I liked how the dry pot included cilantro and red onion. Only feedback is I felt there should be more enoki mushrooms/vegetables. For boba, I got 30% sugar level, and it was very good! For the stir fry and hot pot, there's a big bar of different ingredients you want to pick for yourself. The mild is a true mild so if you want spicy then up your level. If you want more broth, you can definitely ask for more! We also got the boba tea, kumquat lemonade and passionfruit lemonade which was refreshing and delicious. We came here with some friends and it was surprising to see that it was a newly opened place! It's a mainly hot pot spot, but they have other items such as wings, sushi, habachi, ramen, and boba. The place has lots of seating and is fairly cheap as well. The have a special with their sushi where you can get one special roll and one classic roll for the price of one. Our office ordered multiple hibachi variations and a sushi order for lunch take-out due to the high ratings. No one was thrilled with their food. The rice in the sushi and hibachi was dry. The sauce used for the hibachi was too sweet and just wasn't a typical hibachi taste. Hibachi portions were large and the shrimp sauce was good. However, everyone threw away their leftovers. You pick the ingredients you would like from the self serve ingredient bar then you decide if you would like it dry-pot or hot pot style. Then they weigh it and you pay per lb (they subtract the weight of the bowl) I prefer the malatang dry pot style and have been blown away each time by the spicy flavor as well as the high quality ingredients. This is the best new restaurant to open in Ayrsley in a very long time! I rarely write yelp reviews, but we just left there from dinner and I had to write. The food is fresh, plentiful, and reasonably priced. We had a stir-fry bowl (custom made from a huge fresh bar of produce and proteins), the bao buns and Korean chicken wings. It was a lot of food! The buffet features a variety of items, including sausage, ribs, thin beef slices, seafood (shrimp, fish, mussels), a range of soybean products (bean curd rolls, puffed tofu, vegan meatballs, cheese tofu, etc.), plenty of mushrooms, and various leafy green veggies, such as broccoli. I was expecting more vegetable options: zucchini, carrots, peppers etc. But it is a hot pot spot so that might be an unfair expectation. There is a 1 pound minimum which I struggled to meet. I got veggies and tofu options only. I'm not sure if the price changes based on what you add. For 1.5 pounds, I paid $23. That's pricey but my bowl had so much food! I got my money's worth, for sure. The stir fry bowl was very, very flavorful and was topped off with red onion, green onion, and cilantro (might've been parsley). So if you don't want that, say so!
