I've been here a few times, and have had a great experience every single time. Awesome service, and solid/quality sushi. The only two things keeping it from being 5 stars for me is the lack of beer selection (only 4 "okay" domestic beers to choose from), and the fact that they don't use real crab meat. It's a shame to be surrounded by so many great breweries but only being able to choose from those beers! Been here a few times now. The service is amazing (everyone was so nice and constantly asking if we needed more order tickets) and the sushi is great! Really is a hidden gem because there aren't really any AYCE places near Boulder and we didn't really want to drive all the way to Denver to pay 40 bucks a person for this experience. I also really love how simple the menu is. You get some unique rolls but I really like a sushi place that shines with the simpler items on the menu. We will definitely be back many more times. We went to this restaurant because it shared a similar name as the AYCE restaurant in Vegas. The service here is good but the food is not exactly up to par. The rolls are dry & the menu is limited. This is not the same restaurant as the Sushi Neko in LV. I'm guessing they just copied the name. We dine out almost everyday & wished there was a good sushi place up north. It's too bad we do not have many good ethnic restaurants in CO outside of SE Aurora or south Denver. We travel a lot; so our taste in food may be more picky than most. read more

The service here was very prompt and friendly, although not always accurate. I want to give more stars because the service was so great, unfortunately the food was not great. None of the rolls tasted great. The mini rolls were too salty and I wouldn't have eaten them if they didn't have the "you don't eat it, you buy it" policy for their all-you-can-eat meals. On top of the saltiness, I wasn't able to drink the water due to the taste. Something is definitely funky with their water source or their ice machine. New AYCE in Arvada. It is $32.99 per person for dinner; this does not include drinks. They only have soft drinks for now because they do not have their liquor license yet. We were able to get seated immediately on a Saturday evening. I would say only about 1/3 - 1/2 of the tables were full at the time. It looks like they only had 2 people making sushi. Service was quite slow; it took quite a while just to get our first round of orders. Then on the second round, it took a while again just to get 6 more pieces of nigiri. The nigiri actually came out way ahead of the edamame. The gyoza has a good crisp to it, but the filling was very bland. The bulgogi roll had a little kick to it from the sauce. I did like the 101 roll dressed with the spicy mayo and the crunch. The nigi pieces were on the smaller side, compared to other sushi restaurants or other AYCE places. However, the fish was nice and fresh. Overall, for the price, I thought the menu did not have as many items as other AYCE places with lower pricing. I don't think I'll repeat coming here, as there are better options out there. read more

All You Can Eat places are hit and miss. Mostly miss. But not with Sushi Neko. Having lived in East Asia for many years and visited Japan 3 times, dining in this establishment felt like coming back home. The venue is quiet, clean, and undoubtedly Japanese in decor and atmosphere. The service is exceptional, and the menu is extensive and diverse. We tried quite a few of their sushi rolls, and all of them were amazing. The fish was fresh, and the rice was exactly as it should be (hard to find in any Japanese restaurant in the U.S.). The miso soup was just as I remember from Japan. Like the fact that there is a surcharge for left over food- it encourages guests to finish what they ordered and not just getting everything on the menu and barely having a bite of each. The entrees are actually samples of traditional Japanese dishes, including various noodles and tempura. A great way to have a taste without having to eat an entire portion. This wouldn't be a complete review without mentioning the fantastic service in Sishi Neko. Our orders were ready very fast, and were served to us with a smile. Our waitress came to check on us many times to make sure that we had everything we need and to take our new order. At the same time we didn't feel rushed. Sushi Neko is an AYCE sushi spot that is fairly new to Aravada. It's nigri is extremely fresh, however, everything else was not great. The appetizers were not appealing and the rolls had rice that was way too mushy. The staff here though is extremely nice and the food came out fast. The food in my opinion was kinda gross. read more

I wish I had read the bad reviews on this place before visiting. We came here for dinner on a Friday night, they seated us right away and service was prompt. The sushi is very thinly sliced and tasted salty. The special rolls are all a combination of the same ingredients (crab, shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy tuna) so after ordering three different rolls they all started to taste the same. They skimp on sushi portions and add a ton of rice/filler. The miso soup was extra salty, they're either using too much miso or adding salt to it. Their ginger is real but their wasabi isn't. This is not a family friendly establishment. They will charge half price for kids regardless of if they eat or not, which I understand and very typical of Asian-owned restaurants. This is not what I would consider a good representation of a sushi restaurant and would be embarrassed to bring my family here. We will not be back. read more

So this was our very first time dining here for dinner and I've got to say, I am satisfied with the food we received. In total we ordered 60 salmon nigiri pieces and finished every single one. The sushi is nice and small and not packed full of rice with a small slab of fish. We also ordered the beef bulgogi and the spicy pork bulgogi which was a little bland but it was edible. Same with the miso soup and the udon. A little downside to the place is the lack of staff working the kitchen. It took about 20-25 minutes for each order to come through. However, as this place stays open the service can only get faster as they hire more people which is why this place gets an extra star because I trust it will get better. My two kids (under 10) and I stopped in after a long, hot theater performance. Sushi sounded great and our regular spot closed at 9pm. We were informed right away that it was All-you-can-eat at $32/adult and $16/child. Not why we were there, but fine. We ordered our standard 4 rolls, plus 2 nigiri and 1 "mini" roll (avocado only). I forgot to hold the spicy mayo on my 8 yo's 2 rolls and did my best to scrape it all off. Long story short, he left a large portion of the exterior of the rolls because of it. We were warned more than once that we would be charged extra for that which he left on his plate. The rolls were all quite large. I couldn't finish mine either and frankly didn't want to because they were filled quite full of crab meat. I understand their attempt to prevent over ordering and waste, but come on. We could not enjoy our modest meal because we were stuffing ourselves so we wouldn't get charged extra for leaving rice on our plate. In the end they "did is a favor since it was our first time" and did not charge us a penalty. If your goal is to eat as much as humanly possible, this is the place for you. If you enjoy a soup or salad or wine (none of that) with your one roll, this is not. I hesitated to write this review because the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, that's the only good thing this place offered me. read more

As an avid sushi lover. I have never gagged trying to eat a roll before. The overwhelming Mayo in the rolls attempting to mask the crappy sushi made it even worse. It's "all you can eat" but you have to finish your sushi or you're charged. We ordered several rolls to justify the $32 per person charge. The rolls were hardly edible. When I told a staff member the food was horrendous they didn't seemed shocked at all. Such a rip off and not worth it whatsoever. There's so many better sushi places nearby. Food was pretty good, although the rolls were VERY large for an AYCE. It made it difficult to try many things because the rolls were so large and a lot of food. Additionally, it kinda stinks that most every roll had some variation of shrimp tempura or cali roll. A little more variety would be nice. The gyro a and tempura was good, although the tempura was oil soaked. You bit into it and got a mouthful of oil. I left feeling not great from the amount of fried food. read more
