    Takeout sushi
    Peter V.

Sushi Nine has been one of our longtime go-to spots for years, and we get takeout from here every couple of weeks. The biggest draw is the value. It's easily the best sushi deal in Raleigh. Sushi is always BOGO, and that applies to takeout as well, not just dine-in, which is huge. Because of that, it's hard to beat when you want sushi without paying premium prices. The quality is good but not high-end, and Sushi Nine definitely isn't trying to be a luxury sushi experience. We've had minor issues in the past, but nothing that's ever stopped us from coming back. The consistency and value keep us loyal. I've also ventured beyond sushi and tried their Thai curry, which was surprisingly solid and a nice change of pace. If you want affordable, reliable sushi and unbeatable BOGO value, Sushi Nine is a dependable choice -- just go in knowing it's about value and volume more than refinement.

A local favorite. I've been going here for 10+ years since I was a student at NC State. I love their BOGO rolls and drink specials. Service can be kinda slow at times, but overall still a great value for food/experience. I always get the Crunchy Crazy Tuna roll, as it is one of my favorites.

The BOGO Sushi is what brought me here. The BOGO sushi and the fact that it's really good is what will keep me coming. There are a lot of rolls to choose from asking with other menu items besides sushi. The tom kha soup was amazing and you can pick the level of spiciness as well. They have a parking lot that was full so you have to wait until a space frees up to park so of you are coming with people or to meet best to ride together. Parking is free though. They have a huge dining area so that wasn't too full. There's also a regular bar and a sushi bar to sit at. They have drink specials and many cocktails to choose from. This is definitely a new fave!!

Amazing food. The Philly Roll was perfect!! Smoked salmon tasted amazing and very fresh. Chicken Lo Mein and satay were also great. Not pictured are the fried potstickers in curry sauce and spring rolls. The potstickers were divine and the curry sauce was so good. Highly recommend. There is also a BOGO sushi list on the menu. Good deal. Onsite parking.

Sushi Nine was a great dining experience. I ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice, two sushi rolls - North Carolina (top), Sweet Dragon (bottom), and had the calamari and edamame as appetizers. The fried was amazing and the medium spice level provided a nice kick without being unbearable. I appreciated the fact that the sushi menu had BOGO options, which I took advantage of. Both rolls were delicious so I couldn't pick a favorite. The calamari was decent but not the best I've had, I did appreciate the salt & pepper seasoning though. Service was good and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice, not too loud or awkwardly quiet. The dining area was a clean, open space with a bar.

First time we visited, it was inside. The restaurant was beautiful, lighting was just right and the vibe is chill. Now the food, the calamari was dry, spongy and wasn't good. The pad Thai was dry, no lime, nothing Thai about it. The noodles were like lo mein noodles. Fried rice tasted like rice, no flavor. The sushi was the best thing. We only ordered the sushi the 2nd time and they were not evenly cut, it was sloppy, unlike the first visit. The sticky rice and mango was great. Only complaint is that the rice was way too sticky..it took a knife for me to finish eating but tasty, mango was sweet.

Came in the middle of the week for a nice lunch and BOGO sushi. It was delicious! I loved the vibe inside and our waitress was very kind and attentive about allergies.

We came for lunch, and it was the best sushi we've had since visiting Japan. Super friendly service and very reasonable prices. Nice, unpretentious vibe.

Came here on a monday night for dinner and was seated immediately with no wait. Our server was prompt with ordering our food and drinks and the sushi rolls came out pretty fast. Our rolls were delicious and love that they do BOGO rolls! spent $30 for 4 rolls. Will definitely come back!

Solid place for sushi, they have BOGO which is great! I got the Caterpillar and Firecracker rolls. The Caterpillar roll has eel, which I'm a huge fan of. Even though the menu says no substitutions, they did accommodate no cream cheese. I would skip the calamari next time but the edamame was just right. The restaurant was busy but we got seated immediately.

California roll...can't remember the name of the other roll just know it was good!!

This was my first time here and not my last!! Oh so good. Store nice clean, waiter was the best!! Didn't use the restroom but I imagine it would have been great because the store was wonderful. Stand alone restaurant, plenty of parking and handicap accessible. So excited, because I learned to use chopsticks. Only 3 words left to say YOU GOTTA GO!!!!!!'

My sushi was absolutely amazing. This was by far the best sushi I've ever had. I had the shrimp tempura (deep fried) burrito roll. It was so fresh, flavorful and deep fried to perfection. It was sinfully delicious and crunchy. I also had the lobster tempura roll and that was delicious too. The service was top tier everyone was so friendly and sweet. The waiters periodically check on you and ask if you like it and if there's something else they can do. She also offered me several different sauces to try with it. It was the best service I've had in a while. As soon as I asked what's this burrito roll I keep seeing all over TikTok. The waiter came from behind the counter and sat next and explained it in detail. I told her this place is going viral on TikTok b/c of this deep fried burrito roll. The ambience is so serene, clean, family oriented and perfect for a date night. I went on a solo sushi date and felt safe and comfortable due to the staff and other solo guests at the bar. This is my new spot I will definitely be returning next weekend so I can try other things! The BEST sushi and AWESOME service.

Visited on an early Sunday evening with my family of 6. Service was great! Atmosphere was great! Food was great! Had 4 apps, 10 sushi rolls, the sashimi platter, and 3 desserts. The desserts may have been the best items. Lots of variety and all delicious! Prices are amazing! Experience was wonderful. Devin is a great server! Char is the greatest though! We'll be back often! Thank you!

What a great idea! I like to come here for one dish: the squash curry or the pumpkin curry. It's either vegetarian or vegan, so yeah, it's pretty much the highlight of the menu as far as I'm concerned. It's called the Manda Curry or Mom's Curry: Slow-cooked house coconut curry with fresh root vegetables, jasmine rice, and pumpkin. It reminds me of Vientiane Palace's Squash Curry. Upscale ambience!

We came in with some friends on a Monday to celebrate a birthday. My friend has a gluten and dairy allergy, which was actually no problem here. So if that is a dietary concern for you or a loved one - this is a great spot to bring them! We were all able to enjoy a majority of the food. My partner and I both enjoyed a mocktail version of the roselle freezy - it was amazing! Either as a mocktail or a cocktail, you should try this drink. For starters, we had the crispy chicken wings, spring rolls with veggies, and the lettuce wraps. We all enjoyed the chicken wings so much that we got a second order of them. I enjoyed the spring rolls much more than the lettuce wraps as they had more flavor to them. For dinner, we shared an order of the Manda Amphone's Curry and the chicken pad thai. I originally did not expect to be blown away by the pad thai - boy, was I wrong. This is hands down the best pad thai I have ever had. If you love pad thai, you need to try theirs. I also thoroughly enjoyed the curry. Both dishes were rich and flavorful and came with enough to share between 4 adults. Overall, not having been to Bida Manda in 10+ years, I was impressed and will definitely return.

I'd recommend parking a few blocks away and walking if you are unable to find parking nearby. Walking into the restaurant you'll be transported to a modern brewery, bookstore, and flower shop. It feels chic, Belgian inspired, and upscale. To start I ordered a Vase IPA which was excellent. I then switched to cocktails and ordered the Black Sesame Old Fashioned (bourbon, black sesame, black walnut bitters), the Dionysus (pinot noir, raspberry lemon shrub, chambord, amaretto, lemon, rhubarb bitters), and an aviation (hendricks, luxardo, creme de violette, lemon). By far the Black Sesame Old Fashioned was my favorite and what a nice touch with cracker on top of the dish. For food we ordered the Gai Lan (Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with garlic and oyster sauce), the Peking Duck (Whole, barbecued, free-range duck served with steamed bao buns, cucumber, scallions, and hoisin-honey sauce), Sweet Soy Chicken (Scallions, bell peppers, and caramelized in our ginger soy sauce. Served with jasmine rice), the Lo Mein Noodles (Stir-fried noodles with julienned shiitake mushrooms, choy sum greens, soy sauce, and shrimp), seafood dumplings (Lobster, shrimp, and scallop dumplings served in garlic and black mushroom sauce with fried Youtiao doughnuts), Chicken Curry Bao (Steamed buns filled with spicy yellow chicken and vegetable curry), the Beef with Longhorn Peopers (Sautéed beef, ginger, and longhorn peppers with Shaoxing wine sauce. Served with jasmine rice), the Xiao Long Bao (Steamed crab and ground pork soup dumplings), Nasi Goreng Crab Fried Rice (Traditional Indonesian Chinese fried rice with blue crab meat, Nam Pla fish sauce, house made Nasi Goreng sauce, served in an egg crêpe), and the General Tso's Chicken (Crunchy, sweet, and tangy, Bhavana's General Tso comes with your choice of chicken or tofu tossed in our house-made General sauce and topped with sesame seeds. Served with jasmine rice). By far our favorite food items were the seafood dumplings (excellent flavor, Chinese donuts were so good, along with the flavor from the broth), and the shrimp lo mein noodles (cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfectly distributed). Definitely check out brewery bhavana if you are looking for excellent Chinese food in the Raleigh area. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Well, I finally got to try Brewery Bhavana and it was indeed incredible. Definitely worth the hype. We met my coworker and her partner here for dinner, and I was grateful we had a reservation because this spot was poppin' on a Monday night! The dining room is huge, but the decor breaks things up a bit and makes your meal feel intimate. Everything is shareable, so I highly recommend visiting with fellow foodies who want to try a little bit of everything. Honestly the entire menu sounded amazing, and it was hard to choose! Thankfully our servers provided some excellent recommendations. The Pork Bao was probably my favorite bite of the night, and may very well have been the best Bao I've ever had. The Lap Cheung Fried Rice was also delicious, and I'm usually not a fried rice person! Also worth mentioning is the Lo Mein, which we ordered with chicken. We didn't stay for dessert, but all of their sweet offerings sounded incredible as well. I did try one of the beers they brew on-site, the Sow. It was light and sippable, and I appreciate their diverse beer and cocktail offerings. I can't wait to visit Raleigh again because this will be my first stop!
