    bogo rolls

A local favorite. I've been going here for 10+ years since I was a student at NC State. I love their BOGO rolls and drink specials. Service can be kinda slow at times, but overall still a great value for food/experience. I always get the Crunchy Crazy Tuna roll, as it is one of my favorites.

The BOGO Sushi is what brought me here. The BOGO sushi and the fact that it's really good is what will keep me coming. There are a lot of rolls to choose from asking with other menu items besides sushi. The tom kha soup was amazing and you can pick the level of spiciness as well. They have a parking lot that was full so you have to wait until a space frees up to park so of you are coming with people or to meet best to ride together. Parking is free though. They have a huge dining area so that wasn't too full. There's also a regular bar and a sushi bar to sit at. They have drink specials and many cocktails to choose from. This is definitely a new fave!!

Amazing food. The Philly Roll was perfect!! Smoked salmon tasted amazing and very fresh. Chicken Lo Mein and satay were also great. Not pictured are the fried potstickers in curry sauce and spring rolls. The potstickers were divine and the curry sauce was so good. Highly recommend. There is also a BOGO sushi list on the menu. Good deal. Onsite parking.

Came in the middle of the week for a nice lunch and BOGO sushi. It was delicious! I loved the vibe inside and our waitress was very kind and attentive about allergies.

Sushi Nine was a great dining experience. I ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice, two sushi rolls - North Carolina (top), Sweet Dragon (bottom), and had the calamari and edamame as appetizers. The fried was amazing and the medium spice level provided a nice kick without being unbearable. I appreciated the fact that the sushi menu had BOGO options, which I took advantage of. Both rolls were delicious so I couldn't pick a favorite. The calamari was decent but not the best I've had, I did appreciate the salt & pepper seasoning though. Service was good and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice, not too loud or awkwardly quiet. The dining area was a clean, open space with a bar.

    Sticky rice and mango.

First time we visited, it was inside. The restaurant was beautiful, lighting was just right and the vibe is chill. Now the food, the calamari was dry, spongy and wasn't good. The pad Thai was dry, no lime, nothing Thai about it. The noodles were like lo mein noodles. Fried rice tasted like rice, no flavor. The sushi was the best thing. We only ordered the sushi the 2nd time and they were not evenly cut, it was sloppy, unlike the first visit. The sticky rice and mango was great. Only complaint is that the rice was way too sticky..it took a knife for me to finish eating but tasty, mango was sweet.

We came for lunch, and it was the best sushi we've had since visiting Japan. Super friendly service and very reasonable prices. Nice, unpretentious vibe.

My sushi was absolutely amazing. This was by far the best sushi I've ever had. I had the shrimp tempura (deep fried) burrito roll. It was so fresh, flavorful and deep fried to perfection. It was sinfully delicious and crunchy. I also had the lobster tempura roll and that was delicious too. The service was top tier everyone was so friendly and sweet. The waiters periodically check on you and ask if you like it and if there's something else they can do. She also offered me several different sauces to try with it. It was the best service I've had in a while. As soon as I asked what's this burrito roll I keep seeing all over TikTok. The waiter came from behind the counter and sat next and explained it in detail. I told her this place is going viral on TikTok b/c of this deep fried burrito roll. The ambience is so serene, clean, family oriented and perfect for a date night. I went on a solo sushi date and felt safe and comfortable due to the staff and other solo guests at the bar. This is my new spot I will definitely be returning next weekend so I can try other things! The BEST sushi and AWESOME service.

Came here on a monday night for dinner and was seated immediately with no wait. Our server was prompt with ordering our food and drinks and the sushi rolls came out pretty fast. Our rolls were delicious and love that they do BOGO rolls! spent $30 for 4 rolls. Will definitely come back!

Solid place for sushi, they have BOGO which is great! I got the Caterpillar and Firecracker rolls. The Caterpillar roll has eel, which I'm a huge fan of. Even though the menu says no substitutions, they did accommodate no cream cheese. I would skip the calamari next time but the edamame was just right. The restaurant was busy but we got seated immediately.

California roll...can't remember the name of the other roll just know it was good!!

This was my first time here and not my last!! Oh so good. Store nice clean, waiter was the best!! Didn't use the restroom but I imagine it would have been great because the store was wonderful. Stand alone restaurant, plenty of parking and handicap accessible. So excited, because I learned to use chopsticks. Only 3 words left to say YOU GOTTA GO!!!!!!'

Visited on an early Sunday evening with my family of 6. Service was great! Atmosphere was great! Food was great! Had 4 apps, 10 sushi rolls, the sashimi platter, and 3 desserts. The desserts may have been the best items. Lots of variety and all delicious! Prices are amazing! Experience was wonderful. Devin is a great server! Char is the greatest though! We'll be back often! Thank you!

Later I saw the actual restaurant is a bit small with a few tables and sushi bar so I'm thinking they have out grown their space and after eating the food I can understand how that happened. As mentioned it has a small footprint but we didn't wait long. Our server was very kind and provided excellent service. We started with the gyoza which were out of this world! They had the perfect char on the dumpling without making it too seared. The Sashimi plate was incredible, each piece of fish melted in your mouth. If I have to give one critique I'd say our yellow tail was still a little frozen but that didn't stop me from devouring it. Crispy Salmon Roll was light and refreshing and their Rainbow Roll was like no other I've had. My husband and I have two reference points when it comes to sushi; mine is Japan where I was introduced to it as a young Marine, his is Hawaii where had the most amazing sushi about 5 years ago. Not many places can compare to those experiences but Sushi Mon was VERY close!

I was having a hard time finding a place in Raleigh that served quality ingredient sushi & was worth the price for the quantity. It's located in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville Street, right next to the ABC 11 studios, easy to find and a great spot if you're already downtown. The ambiance is great and fits the food well. There's a nice mix of seating, tables along the windows looking out onto the street, high top tables, traditional dining tables, and a sushi bar if you want to sit up close and watch everything being made. It feels lively without being loud, and works well whether you're there for a date night or a more casual meal. We started with the Aburi appetizer, torched salmon belly, ooba, salmon roe, Japanese seabream, yuzu kosho, and ponzu, and it was outstanding. Everything worked together perfectly, rich, bright, and balanced. I also ordered ikura and ebi, even though I meant to order ama ebi, but no regrets there. Still excellent. We shared the Poke Roll with wakame, avocado, cucumber, mango, tuna, salmon, hamachi, and Sono poke sauce, and it was very good, fresh, flavorful, and well composed without being overdone. My wife ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. The broth was the star, deep and comforting, and the pork chashu pieces were massive, in a good way. I went with the chicken katsu curry, panko fried chicken thigh with house curry and koshihikari rice, something I haven't had since Little Tokyo in LA a few years ago, and it tasted like home. Comforting, familiar, and exactly what I was hoping for. For drinks, I ordered the "SONO? SO-YES!" entirely because of the name, but also because I love blood orange. Casamigos Blanco tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, coconut cream, simple syrup, and blood orange juice, it was excellent. My only complaint is that I wanted more of it. My wife got the Okinawa Spritz, a play on an Aperol spritz with passionfruit, and it was even better than the original. We finished with the yuzu cheesecake. I debated between that and the ube cheesecake, but since this is a Japanese restaurant, yuzu felt right, and it absolutely delivered. Overall, everything from the food to the drinks hit. This is a place I would happily return to, and honestly, I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Knowing how quickly their tables disappear, I checked for reservations on the drive over, fully expecting disappointment. Instead, a small miracle: an open table. I booked it before the screen could change its mind. Upon arrival, the host greeted us with the gentle chaos that only a true local favorite can produce. Our table wasn't quite ready "just waiting on a few folks to wrap up" so we lingered near the entryway, watching the ebb and flow of diners. A brief mix-up had us nearly escorted to a table before being pulled back, but within minutes we were seated, no worse for the detour. Our spot was perfect: a front-row view of the sushi bar, where chefs moved with the quiet intensity of people who know their craft is being watched and appreciated. The restaurant hummed around us servers weaving between tables, the soft clatter of plates, the low murmur of regulars who clearly consider this their second home. Our server, whose name I wish I'd caught, was a standout. Attentive without hovering, candid about the kitchen running a bit behind, and consistently thoughtful with updates. His honesty made the experience feel more intimate, more human. Cocktails arrived first, followed by a parade of sushi and small plates. Everything was fresh, balanced, and deeply satisfying, the kind of meal that doesn't need theatrics to make an impression.
