    Dragon Roll...yum
    Toshi I.

Sushi quality is very high as expected. We made a reservation. Prices are high. This is a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant. The sushi, rolls and tempura was perfect. However, there was a miscommunication and we patiently waited for another roll but it didnt arrive. The server "lost" our order. So anyway, we eventually got our roll. It was disappointing that this happened.

A lovely authentic sushi restaurant that serves fresh and quality fish. Their lunch menu is an absolute steal with generous portion of delicious items! Staff are always friendly and attentive. I always enjoy dining here with friends and family!

Was in the mood for good Japanese food, so dropped into Sushi Nozomi. My server, Nona, welcomed me and remembered me from previous visits and even remembers my name. I ordered a Sapporo draft beer, natto cut roll, and a chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura combination. The draft beer was very refreshing on this hot day. The miso soup was the ideal temperature and loaded with small pieces of vegetables. We love that natto is a regular item on their menu. The chicken teriyaki was prepared perfectly and was tasty. The various vegetable tempura was lightly battered like the shrimp and were all delicious.

Great Omakase! Formalities first: Be aware that they require a minimum spend of $80pp, even if you're not getting the omakase. It just so happens that their 10pc sushi and tuna roll omakase is $80, however, so you may as well get that -- it's worth every penny! The bluefin tuna is honestly the best I have had outside Japan; I believe they import all of their fish from there, and the tuna was especially good. The uni was also soooo creamy. While not part of the omakase meal, I had to try my fave hamachi just to see, and that was amazing too. This place honestly exceeded my expectations, and the quality of the fish was worth the price. They also had a great sake selection! Definitely going back!

A very small, cozy sushi spot that was able to accommodate us at a table without a reservation. The dishes are definitely expensive and the rolls are veryyy small. However, the fish is very high quality! The tuna bowl was delicious(!!!) had very large portions of tuna, so it was worth the $30. I would come back for the bowls and the quiet atmosphere.

Sushi Nozomi is the closest you'll get to eating sushi from Japan. Their fish is so fresh and they do not skimp on portions. They serve a lot more variety compared to some of the other sushi places I've been to. I personally loved their negi yellowtail The inside has traditional tatami seating and regular tables and chairs which is a super cool cultural touch in my opinion. The staff seem to all be japanese and they are all super friendly. Next time you're craving sushi head over to Sushi Nozomi !

We love sushi Nozomi! They have wonderful service, great quality sushi/sashimi and a menu filled with amazing dishes! We have sat at the tables and also their tatami rooms. Either way, the staff are always super attentive and friendly! Yoshie San is hilarious and always takes excellent care of her tables! Highly recommend Sushi Nozomi!

We seated in semi-private room. Service was excellent, server gave us good recommendations. Food varieties were great, we started from assorted sashimi, very fresh fishes. Then we ordered bunch of vegetables dishes, 5A rank Wagyu steak then we finished with different sushi rolls. Perfect night.

Food 4 - Great sushi, no complaints at all. Beautiful presentation and well put together meal. Service 2 - Good service but nothing special. I just finished a basketball game and they didn't really want me sitting at the sushi bar as they reminded me there was a minimum spend to sit there even though it was empty. I ended up ordering the Chirashi which definitely cleared their minimum dollar amount. They also forgot to ask me if I wanted anything to drink, perhaps they thought I couldn't afford it or they were in a rush because it was late. Either way, not the great service that expect from sushi restaurants of this price level. Ambiance 3 - Restaurant is very dark. Not my preference for a sushi restaurant, but they did have a few of the rooms where parties were sitting on the floor mats with their shoes off, so if you are into that, this a place you can smell your coworkers feet while eating raw fish. Nobody wanted to smell my feet after a basketball game.

I really love this authentic Japanese restaurant. The food is high quality, the sake is excellent, and the service is outstanding. Their daily specials are always a highlight for me.

Great place to come for sushi in Torrance. I came by on a weekday lunch and there was no wait for a party of 4. The lunch set comes with salad as well as miso soup. There's around 10-12 tables inside the restaurant so it's not the biggest but a cozy size with a number of seats at the bar as well. The fish tastes really fresh in the sashimi set and I really enjoyed the tuna and salmon. I'm usually not the biggest fan of octopus sashimi but the octopus here was not bad and not overly chewy. The sashimi set is a great light lunch to have and the miso soup and salad are a good pairing with the fish. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here when I'm in Torrance.

Came on a storming Sunday evening and was immediately sat down and menu explained to us. They still have a QR code menu but a physical menu of the specials Pleasantly surprised to see how many people were in the restaurant and dining during a storm! They also had smaller rooms that seat larger parties and themed like in Japan Price : $80 for 10 piece nigiri and negi-toro roll which is solid for the area All the pieces of fish were sooo fresh, we devoured our meal in 10 minutes when it came out. The star of the show was the uni nigiri piece. The quality was sooo good and buttery, not briney like some uni I've had. The amount of uni was also very generous. I even converted my sister who is not a fan of uni but thought the taste was superb

It's been a while since I've had the chance to enjoy a high quality sushi lunch and I'm glad Nozomi still holds to their standards from years ago. I got the $80 omakase lunch special that came with miso soup, garden salad, seaweed & cucumber salad, edamame, 10 pcs of nigiri, and 1 bluefin hand roll. I also added a live shrimp nigiri as well as some sake and beer. I'm telling you, this place transports your taste buds to an authentic experience. Service is impeccable and the ambiance really gives you that hidden gem feel. A must try for true sushi lovers

Today we decided to revisit the restaurant for old time's sake. Inside, the main wall was repainted with a new mural. The annual LA Marathon posters, pinned by the staff who participated in the events, were also gone. Nonetheless, it retained its traditional izakaya décor with its counter seating alongside some regular tables. The staff were all new but still very courteous and brought the menu and water right away. New items were added but the core dishes remained the same. For this visit, we ordered our regular items and they arrived in 10 minutes: Eboshi Mini Trio with Shio Ramen, Fried Rice and Gyoza: The fried rice was still top notch, with slightly firm texture, not too oily, and pleasantly seasoned. The Shio Ramen with its clear broth was nicely savory. The thin noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chashu pieces were tender. To complement the set, the gyozas with their delicate wraps had nicely burnt bottoms, and flavorful fillings. Champon Ramen: A complex ramen with an assortment of meat, veggies and seafood. There were sliced pork pieces, shrimps, squids, cabbage, onions, snow peas and many more. The clear broth was quite savory and enriched by oil from sauteed ingredients. The noodles had a very nice texture and were a tad al dente. We were amazed that after all these years, the restaurant retained its original taste and flavor. We found out the reason why while exiting the restaurant: The young cook from two decades ago is now running the open kitchen as head chef. Great food and still reasonable prices. It was totally worth revisiting.

The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. I was just starting to eat my meal when the sat a large group breaking them in to tables on both…read moresides of me. So people needed to squeeze by and then one guy asked if he could sit for a moment at my table. I said okay. But then I think he planned to stay at my table until finally my waiter moved him! There was a seat at one their tables the whole time. Then their waitress wedge herself with her back toward me in between the tables and I had to stop eating. Very disruptive and rude. Taking a while for the six people to order so I nudged her and I asked her to move and she seemed upset that I did that but didn't say anything no apology so it was very uncomfortable and I was rushing through my food so I burnt my tongue on the hot soup again even though I knew it was hot because I just wanted to get out of there. And then when I was done, I had to wait a while for the check and then they couldn't process the Apple Pay at the table so then I had to go to the front and wait for somebody to attend to me there overall this experience was not fun and stressful and I had got there right when they opened. I sure wish I had selected a different seat!! I wouldn't get the Nabeyaki soup again. It was really big and had a lot of end pieces of tough napa cabbage. There were two pieced of shitake mushroom and the standard thin fish cake slice. There was and egg in the soup and a three small chicken pieces. On the side were three small pieces of green bean and two tempura shrimp.
