    Natto cut roll

Hadn't had good sushi in a while, so decided to stop in to Sushi Nozomi after my Occupational therapy session. Stsff is so friendly and welcoming me back. I am such a creature of habit, that I started with a glass of Sapporo draft beer. I ordered my natto cut roll and chicken teriyaki and sushi combination plate. Dining room was clean and most tables were full with the lunch crowd. Food was delicious and hit the spot.

Sushi Nozomi is the closest you'll get to eating sushi from Japan. Their fish is so fresh and they do not skimp on portions. They serve a lot more variety compared to some of the other sushi places I've been to. I personally loved their negi yellowtail The inside has traditional tatami seating and regular tables and chairs which is a super cool cultural touch in my opinion. The staff seem to all be japanese and they are all super friendly. Next time you're craving sushi head over to Sushi Nozomi !

A very small, cozy sushi spot that was able to accommodate us at a table without a reservation. The dishes are definitely expensive and the rolls are veryyy small. However, the fish is very high quality! The tuna bowl was delicious(!!!) had very large portions of tuna, so it was worth the $30. I would come back for the bowls and the quiet atmosphere.

We love sushi Nozomi! They have wonderful service, great quality sushi/sashimi and a menu filled with amazing dishes! We have sat at the tables and also their tatami rooms. Either way, the staff are always super attentive and friendly! Yoshie San is hilarious and always takes excellent care of her tables! Highly recommend Sushi Nozomi!

We seated in semi-private room. Service was excellent, server gave us good recommendations. Food varieties were great, we started from assorted sashimi, very fresh fishes. Then we ordered bunch of vegetables dishes, 5A rank Wagyu steak then we finished with different sushi rolls. Perfect night.

I really love this authentic Japanese restaurant. The food is high quality, the sake is excellent, and the service is outstanding. Their daily specials are always a highlight for me.

Food 4 - Great sushi, no complaints at all. Beautiful presentation and well put together meal. Service 2 - Good service but nothing special. I just finished a basketball game and they didn't really want me sitting at the sushi bar as they reminded me there was a minimum spend to sit there even though it was empty. I ended up ordering the Chirashi which definitely cleared their minimum dollar amount. They also forgot to ask me if I wanted anything to drink, perhaps they thought I couldn't afford it or they were in a rush because it was late. Either way, not the great service that expect from sushi restaurants of this price level. Ambiance 3 - Restaurant is very dark. Not my preference for a sushi restaurant, but they did have a few of the rooms where parties were sitting on the floor mats with their shoes off, so if you are into that, this a place you can smell your coworkers feet while eating raw fish. Nobody wanted to smell my feet after a basketball game.

Great place to come for sushi in Torrance. I came by on a weekday lunch and there was no wait for a party of 4. The lunch set comes with salad as well as miso soup. There's around 10-12 tables inside the restaurant so it's not the biggest but a cozy size with a number of seats at the bar as well. The fish tastes really fresh in the sashimi set and I really enjoyed the tuna and salmon. I'm usually not the biggest fan of octopus sashimi but the octopus here was not bad and not overly chewy. The sashimi set is a great light lunch to have and the miso soup and salad are a good pairing with the fish. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here when I'm in Torrance.

It's been a while since I've had the chance to enjoy a high quality sushi lunch and I'm glad Nozomi still holds to their standards from years ago. I got the $80 omakase lunch special that came with miso soup, garden salad, seaweed & cucumber salad, edamame, 10 pcs of nigiri, and 1 bluefin hand roll. I also added a live shrimp nigiri as well as some sake and beer. I'm telling you, this place transports your taste buds to an authentic experience. Service is impeccable and the ambiance really gives you that hidden gem feel. A must try for true sushi lovers

Last minute dinner date and needed to find a Japanese sushi restaurant closeby in Torrance that opened past 8pm and found this place through Google Maps. Called them at lunchtime for a reservation which i got and they said that last food orders was 845pm so that was perfect. Couldnt get the sushi bar but table seating was perfect and intimate. Our server was friendly and we ordered right away. Prices were a little on the high side but its a dinner date so live a little Ordered a couple small appetizers and the Sushi Dinner deluxe for myself and the Sushi Omakase for my date that featured speciality fish of the day (chefs choice). Everything was fresh and high quality, delicious and authentic. Stayed still closing time and didnt feel rushed at all.....Thank you for such a nice memorable dinner for the both of us. Would recommend if in the area. 5 stars

The restaurant is spotlessly clean, well-organized, and welcoming--everything feels fresh and well cared for. The food quality is outstanding. Every dish is packed with flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients, and tastes authentic and thoughtfully prepared. Nothing felt rushed or sloppy--each bite showed consistency and care. Whether it was the meats, sides, or sauces, everything was on point. What really elevates the experience, though, is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They were happy to answer questions, made great recommendations, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. You can tell they truly care about their customers, not just the service. If you're looking for amazing Korean food, a clean and comfortable environment, and top-tier hospitality, this spot is a must-visit. We'll definitely be coming back--and bringing friends with us. Today we decided to revisit the restaurant for old time's sake. Inside, the main wall was repainted with a new mural. The annual LA Marathon posters, pinned by the staff who participated in the events, were also gone. Nonetheless, it retained its traditional izakaya décor with its counter seating alongside some regular tables. The staff were all new but still very courteous and brought the menu and water right away. New items were added but the core dishes remained the same. For this visit, we ordered our regular items and they arrived in 10 minutes: Eboshi Mini Trio with Shio Ramen, Fried Rice and Gyoza: The fried rice was still top notch, with slightly firm texture, not too oily, and pleasantly seasoned. The Shio Ramen with its clear broth was nicely savory. The thin noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chashu pieces were tender. To complement the set, the gyozas with their delicate wraps had nicely burnt bottoms, and flavorful fillings. Champon Ramen: A complex ramen with an assortment of meat, veggies and seafood. There were sliced pork pieces, shrimps, squids, cabbage, onions, snow peas and many more. The clear broth was quite savory and enriched by oil from sauteed ingredients. The noodles had a very nice texture and were a tad al dente. We were amazed that after all these years, the restaurant retained its original taste and flavor. We found out the reason why while exiting the restaurant: The young cook from two decades ago is now running the open kitchen as head chef. Great food and still reasonable prices. It was totally worth revisiting.
