The ambiance is welcoming, with plenty of seating--tables and chairs at the front, cozy booths along the side, and a clean restroom at the back. Plus, TVs keep the atmosphere lively for sports fans or news updates. The staff is super friendly and never charges extra for sauces or special requests like lemon slices or cream cheese on your rolls. My husband's favorite, the 49er roll, is consistently flavorful and generously sized. We've dined in and ordered takeout--about four or five times each--and a 16-piece sashimi, a Hey Sushi roll, a sake bomb, and a bento box, all for around $90 total, which is an unbelievable deal. I used to stop by Sushi Omakase a few years back and they had really tasty options that were well prepared. I wish I had previously left a review so that I could have praised them for all they did so well! I recently ate here again and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. The food was disgusting. The salmon and asparagus roll was decent for the price that it was. The edamame is labeled as garlic edamame, but we didn't taste any garlic. The chicken Karaage was overcooked and I was supposed to come with a sauce that never came. Our waitress even said she would bring us at the sauce in a minute. We waited five minutes and then started eating the chicken because we didn't want it to go cold. Five minutes after we finish the chicken she came out with the sauce. When she saw we had eaten the chicken she didn't even walk the sauce to our table to apologize for the wait. She just took the sauce to the kitchen. The roll in the last picture with sauce tastes decent. The restaurant had a moderate noise level. Overall, we don't plan on coming back. I frequently partake in Sushi with family members. I took my daughter and grandson to Omakase and was impressed with the quality and abundant selection of rolls and unique offerings. I opted for sushi nachos which I never seen on a menu. Boy was I surprised with the flavor of the entree. The rolls were also very good. The only caution is that it is a very popular restaurant and the wait can be a little longer than normal. Go there if you can be patient and not in a hurry to get somewhere. I'm kind of mindblown I have been going here for 5 years regularly and hadn't written a review. Yesterdays incredibly disappointing visit prompted me to "update" my review but noticed I never even posted one. Now, had I posted a review literally anytime between 5 years ago to last week it would have been a RAVING 5 stars. The service here is also so good because you can tell that the servers are all helping each other so our drinks are never empty and food comes out pretty fast. As for the food our rolls are always so fresh and delicious! Anytime we had company from out of town this is where we would take them. We have a date night here almost every two weeks we love this place so much! As for yesterday... service was great as always but WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED. The we ordered three rolls and all three were half the size they were literally the prior week! The dragon balls were barely any filling at all and when you took a bite it was such oily. We hate taking things back but we called our server and even he mentioned that yea they looked off so he took them back and brought up another plate of them.... they looked and tasted EXACTLY the same. It unfortunately gave me the ick for the rest of the meal. Then our golden california roll comes out and the exact same problem. Barely any filling and just mostly the oily breading to eat. This time we didn't want a replacement we just wanted to take it back since the re-do of the dragon ball was disappointing and we were just not going to eat it. My Giants roll was fine taste wise but definitely also half the size from the week before. I just had a tough time getting over the ick to properly enjoy it. The bill comes and they gave a slight discount on the golden cali we did not eat and still charged us for the dragon balls we did not eat. IDK why we asked for a box because it immediately went to the trash at home but it just felt like a waste especially since we paid for it. The place was clean- it's pretty big inside. We ordered Show me the money, Sex on fire, and the Gilroy roll. Show me the money was my favorite because I'm an avocado and spicy mayo lover. The Gilroy roll was baked. It smelled and tasted like fish so that was my least favorite. Sex on fire has a hint of spice. It lives up to its name lol. They serve cocktails. I tried the white sangria. It had an immense amount of ice that it watered down my drink. My sis in law ordered the lemon drop and that one was delicious. I went to the bathroom and I have to say that it was a gender neutral bathroom :) Parents: they do have high chairs. Our total was less than $70. That's a phenomenal price for sushi + drinks. Note: I'm not a fan of places adding "Imitation crab meat, mayo salad" in their rolls, this roll had it and I scooped it out. I also ended up scraping off the Chile Cheetos spicy tuna just so I could eat with the company I was with. The seat wasn't attached to chair. When scooting chair up my finger got caught between seat and metal chair. Quite painful. Requested ice and the manager. Very slow response to both. Manager offered to comp our meal, which was very nice. The sushi came out. The fish was not fresh. We ate one roll, but the other two didn't taste right and the fish was darkened. We told our waiter the sushi wasn't good. She told us the sushi was leftover from yesterday. I'm writing this review because patrons deserve better than this when we choose to go out to eat. I stopped by Sushi Omakase for lunch. I'm as basic as it gets when it comes to sushi. I almost always order a spicy tuna roll and a philly roll. I'd consider myself a relative expert when it comes to these specific rolls. I ordered for pick up and they said it would take about 20 minutes to have ready. It's located a little further back of the shopping area. They did have some outdoor seating setup as well as a outdoor area for pick ups. I also asked for extra pickled ginger in addition to my sushi order. The pick up was easy and I'd recommend ordering by the phone rather than the website. I tried placing the order online first but the order was going to take 2 hours to be ready, it's simply easier to call in. The two sushi rolls I order were both good. The fish was fresh for both rolls. The spicy tuna was more red than I'm used to but the flavor was fine. The philly roll was solid and didn't disappoint. Normally when I ask for extra ginger sushi spots still go light on the extra part. Omakase helped me out with a heaping pile of ginger. Overall I was happy with my sushi and I'd go back for sure. They did also have some interesting sushi options although I'm not much of a fan of tempura/battered sushi. A coworker of mine ordered a poke bowl and the review was that the poke bowl was okay. Decided on this spot for an impromtu date night with my husband on October 9...I know I'm late with my review. So they have ample parking. They have set up dining outside. Since it is outside I suggest making a reservation most especially during peak times. The hostess was very perky and attentive. We waited maybe 25 minutes to be seated on a Friday evening. It was kind of romantic with the dim lighting outside and since the whole social distancing thing you are kind of secluded depending where you are seated. Restrooms are clean and well stocked. The inside of the restaurant was kind of turned upside down to accomodate how they distinguished orders to be picked up and orders to come out to dine-in diners. They had their system down pretty well. So we ordered the following: 1. Softshell crab 2. Lucky Balls 3. The Playboy Roll 4. The Giants The softshell crab came on a bed of greens and a side of cold squid salad. It only comes with one crab. But it is crispy and yummy all the same and probably why I wished it had come with more. The salad was lightly dressed with their house dressing. The squid salad it came with was phenomenal. The squid was thinly slices and paired with ginger and sliced mushrooms. I asked the waitress what it was and when she told me she must have seen the look on my face and asked if I wanted an extra side. But of course! She did and didn't charge me, which was sweet of her. What they call "Lucky Balls" is their deep fried california roll. Which my husband has to try at every sushi place. Drizzled in their house sauces. Now onto the rolls, I was very pleased with both. Fresh ingredients, flavorful and each ingredient stood out on it's own and complementd each other well. One didn't out shine the other they worked cohesively together. We will be back!
