    Tuna Avocado Roll

Surprisingly easy seating for dinner on Valentines Day. Place was fairly full, but they turned the tables pretty quickly. Service was pretty fast and friendly. Son had Teriyaki Beef Dinner, Hubby had Tuna Sashini and Tuna and Avocado Roll. I had Hamachi Kama and Shishito peppers. All was good and tasty. They gave us a tiny teddy Bear as a valentine's gift.

We were the first ones here for lunch time. We got seated quickly and looked over the menu for a few minutes. The menu was vast and had plenty of options for any type of craving. We ended ordering the 3 Roll Lunch special, which is one of the best deals in town. Highly recommend that for a lunch spot. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the rice sushi being a little loosely packed, so a few of the rolls would break down while trying to pick them up, but that didn't affect the taste at all! If you want a relaxing, calm, and fresh lunch, this is the spot!

When my mom and I want to eat sushi within Morgan Hill, we always go here. Today, I brought my best friend and mom to eat here. It's my friend's first time trying this place especially she keeps hearing from me about their Salmon Kama. The Salmon Kama never disappoints me. I like how the sauce is in its small container rather than poured down on the fish. The salmon is well cooked. In addition to salmon Kama, salmon belly and goku special roll is our usual orders here. I'm glad that my friend also enjoyed the salmon belly as I did. Goku Special Roll and Climax Roll tastes the same to me. The hint of difference would be goku special roll has some eel and salmon on top while the climax roll doesn't. It's still a good sushi especially for someone who doesn't really like eel and raw fish as it only has imitation crab and shrimp tempura. Our server was great as she made sure that we're doing good and if we need anything. The guy who was in the cashier also helps us out with a smile. I guess we're always lucky that this place is only average noise level every time we're here (lunch on a weekend) but I can see that it can be a little different on other times or days of the week.

Doordashed some sushi. The sushi was smaller than I expected. I still got full of them but if I'm comparing these rolls to other places, this one is definitely the smallest size rolls I've seen. The sunomono salad was good though. Most of the vinegar was at the bottom so the top cucumbers weren't pickled long enough.

Tempura shrimp roll, spicy tuna and California roll lunch special

First time at Goku Sushi in Morgan Hill California This place was clean and welcoming. We came for a late lunch. We decided on the lunch special, 3 long rolls with miso soup. The sushi arrived quickly. The rolls were tight and visually appealing. We're not seasoned sushi eaters but we're extremely happy with choosing the "usual." California rolls, tempura shrimp roll and spicy tuna rolls. Everything was delicious. Served with wasabi and ginger. The waitress was very polite and answered our questions. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. Overall a nice experience. Only downside, the restaurant is located in a shopping mall with shared parking. Took a minute to find a car parking spot. Definitely will return.

We were craving Japanese food so we went to try this sushi spot! They have fairly good lunch specials for a lower price. I got the chicken katsu lunch plate and the meat was a bit dry but good portion. We also got the tonkotsu ramen and it was super salty. They never really checked on us so we had to flag down our server but they were able to replace the ramen with a new batch and it was better. My favorite was the goku sushi rolls so that didn't disappoint. The restaurant is in a big plaza so there's plenty of parking outside. It used to be a pizza place with an arcade and is now a sushi restaurant so it has plenty of seating inside and spacious.

We came here for an early dinner. We got the salmon kama to share and it was a generous portion. It looks like 2 kamas! We even asked and she was like it's one portion. It was delicious. We got a bunch of rolls to share. But my main dish was their chirashi bowl. It was a pretty good chirashi bowl. Wish they put some roe on it but I felt the fish wasn't fake. Especially the tuna. It had a dark deep red and not like bright pink red. It was also very soft. Good amount for price. Plenty of space in the restaurant.

Place gets a lot of traffic the sushi is fresh and the service was good. One of the rolls the spicy one was a little small. Everything was tasting great.

First time trying this sushi restaurant, all I can say is wow! I should have come here long ago. The fish was absolutely delicious, the salmon sake was buttery, the hamachi jalapeño was super tasty and miss Saigon roll amazing, you have to try all three. The service was fast and efficient, always handy with water, sushi order came quickly. There is a lot of indoor seating, a very spacious restaurant with good distance between the tables. If you've never tried this place, you have no excuse not to... it's my new favorite sushi place in Morgan Hill.

Tonkatsu ramen with some fried oysters and shrimp tempura.

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen which was not bad or good. I've had better ramen at Marafuku Ramen for the same price which had more ingredients and better tasting. Lots of empty tables during lunch on the weekend. The server was very nice and helpful. Also, they had sports playing on the tv which made it seem like a sports bar.

I am always ready to try a new local sushi restaurant! I am so glad I decided to try Goku Sush Morgan Hill. The plates were equally delicious and the effort put into each presentation was noticed! I specifically noticed the teriyaki sauce on the chicken was not overly sweet like many restaurants tend to do. The service was personable and friendly. The seating is plentiful.

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She said we could sit wherever we wanted, asked if we've been in before, and told us about the specials. The interior is cozy, it kind of reminded me of dive bar vibes. They have a lot of drinks on tap and some frozen slushies. I opted for organic iced tea since I don't drink. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far. Even though I have notes, I still think the overall meal was a home run and the staff were super friendly so they get 5-stars in my book.

The ambience is pretty nice, they have nice animal pictures throughout the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a full walk up or sit down bar, and TV's. 3 stars. #3. The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! Total bill for said food - tip $124 pricewise I felt it was well worth it. Oh I will be back!

Positives - have never had a bad meal. The food was good…read more Negatives - The service was very slow and our server seemed like he didn't care very much about being our waiter. He came to our table just after we were seated and before we had a chance to look at anything. Stood there looking annoyed as we scrambled to look at the menu for drinks and appetizers. We very quickly told him we would need a few minutes. The few minutes though turned into 10-15 before he came back to take our order. The appetizer took an extremely long amount of time to get to table. The young man who brought it wasn't our server and did not check to see if we needed anything else. When our waiter eventually came back with our cocktails. He just held them out to the nearest person and made us pass them down the table. Eventually after another long wait, our meals arrived. Server nowhere to be found. By this time our first drinks and waters were empty. Server didn't come by for quite awhile after. Some of our party asked for more drinks and water. We never got more water. Server never came by mid meal to ask how we were doing. If we needed anything else. I would've ordered another drink if I had a shred of confidence that it would've been delivered before I finished my meal. Speaking of the cocktail. YOU DO NOT MUDDLE THE CHERRIES IN AN OLD FASHIONED. It was just a mash of fruit floating around at the bottom of the glass. We finally saw our server again when he came by to ask if we wanted desert. He dropped off the menus and then disappeared for another 10+ minutes. At which point I had to go find him to inform him that we wanted to order dessert since we were celebrating my father's birthday. When the other young man brought our desserts we had to ask for new plates and clean utensils. We again had to ask for more water since it wasn't brought when previously asked for. Our server then eventually showed up for the check. He told us the first card didn't go through. He did not do this quietly or with tact. He came back after the second card didn't go through. We did not get any banking notifications about these and inquired if perhaps their system was the problem. It wasn't until the third card didn't go through that he admitted they were trying to fix the problem on their end. He did not apologize. We've dined at this restaurant multiple times a year for several years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had here. If you care at all about the service you pay for then I would suggest you avoid this restaurant. Very disappointed. Next time we'll be dining elsewhere.
