My friends are locals here and they swear by CraAsian, and it overall didn't disappoint! Spicy garlic edamame: flavor was great, but the edamame was definitely overcooked. Smushy, a bit soggy and slimy... but again, the flavor was 5/5! Sashimi salad: as a Korean, this is your hwaedupbap! But... unlike the Korean version, there isnt any sauce or dressing. I put the sauce from the edamame and some soy sauce, and it was perfection! Don't know what I would have done without the edamame sauce, though. Miso soup: good, nothing to complain about. Plum wine: if you like sweet, tart wines, this is a must! Get a bottle, get a glass, you won't regret it! Pricing seemed average to high... the Maki rolls were $10+, which made me not want to get them. I usually get a negihama maki, which averages from $5-$8 for the places I go if that helps. Came in for sushi lunch today after not visiting for a while, and we noticed they have an updated menu. Nice to see some new options. Overall, the food was really tasty and fresh, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Service-wise, they only had one waiter working during lunch. She was clearly doing her best to keep up, but things were understandably a bit slow. One of our appetizers was forgotten, though honestly it worked out fine since we were already getting full. One thing that still seems to be an issue is the fruit flies. There were fewer than before, but for some reason this place just cannot seem to fully get rid of them. Used to come here a lot when I lived in Morgan hill and it was always good. I'm sure it's been through lots of changes over the years with management and staff. But the food is always great. The restaurant is small but the service has been good the last few times I've gone. The main draw is it's super expensive now. I've been here a few times and it never disappoints. The parking is relatively easy as there's an attached parking lot next to the location. The interior is cute but relatively small. We got seated in less than 5 minutes and decided on getting the Jalapeño Bombs as a starter and the server brought them relatively quickly. They're not that spicy considering how hot jalapeños can be but they're absolutely astounding. For our rolls we decided on the Matthew Roll and Alaska Roll and they were both devoured as they were absolutely delicious. I used to be a regular but I moved last year!! I was able to visit so I decided to have dinner with my family here. I honestly love this sushi place since their first opening and I think it's gotten better over the years. To this day, I'm happy they serve you miso soup with your water. My go to order is always any of their sushi! We ordered Alaska Roll, Matthew Roll, Dragon Roll, and Spider-Man 2 Roll. You can't go wrong with their appetizers and we had the jalapeño bombs! It has a good kick but not enough to break a sweat. It was perfect for our party of 4 and all finished it! We never really have to wait for a table as they have both indoor and outdoor seating. I am so sorry.. but I don't think this place is good... we got a boat to share amongst the three of us and although the salmon was good and some of the other pieces were good..the rice was just done right. All of the sushi piece looked like it was old mushy rice and it just didn't look or taste fresh. Although the aesthetics of the boat set up was nice, the sushi could've been a lot better. We were all hungry so we ended up eating it all but I don't think I would pay money next time for this type of mediocre sushi. The Prison Break was amazing!!! My husband got the Alaskan, I didn't care for it but I don't like fried food. The baked scallops were good and not fishy. Our son enjoyed the salmon teriyaki. The main thing that I loved about CreAsian were the party trays because at one point, it seemed like a good value, but it was also a good picture for the gram. With the recent price hikes, we don't order the trays anymore, we just order whichever rolls we want. At one point, this was my favorite sushi joint in Morgan Hill, but lately I'd prefer Sushi Confidential over CreAsian if we were to get sushi in Morgan Hill. The sushi rolls haven't been as good lately compared to previously. I have noticed this our last 2 orders. I am assuming that they got a new chef because I wasn't particularly impressed with our last order and didn't really enjoy it to be honest. We had ordered 5 rolls for pickup including the double crunch, oishi, cherry blossom, specialized, and tuna tango. None stood out in particular this time and the rice was really mushy and not seasoned well...kind of what you'd expect to get with some Trader Joe's refrigerator sushi or something. All the rolls were bland and just didn't taste like much to be honest. Everything was just kind of blah and bland even with wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger. My kids shared an order of chicken katsu which was fine, but nothing exceptional. I really hope they figure out the rice situation. Without good rice, you really can't have good sushi. I'm not sure if we will be back for a while. Perhaps if I have a momentary memory lapse, forgetting how bad the rice was, we may try it again in the future. Pre-covid review: Found out this place is under the same company as Kenzo's, one of my favorite sushi places in the South Bay! The rolls here definitely lived up to the taste and quality of Kenzo. The location is quite small if you plan to eat-in, but takeout is usually ready within 45 minutes to an hour. The fish is fresh, and their rolls are unique.
