Been going to this place for years now and the quality never disappoints. Weather it's going out for a nice date or with your family like I often do it's the perfect middle for both. What I loved the most was the service. The workers were very on top of their jobs and very friendly. You could tell that they really cared about there jobs in a way that's more than just a job . Josh and Trever was my host and server this night and they definitely had charisma. Friendly and respectful. Making sure that your taken care of. The food was c yummy. Personally I'm particular about the way my fish looks and might I add that the plates looked very fresh and clean.

Sushi combo $25.95

My sister in law and I were out for lunch around 2pm. She was craving for sushi but most sushi restaurants in Huntington Beach were closed for break except Niya Sushi stayed opened until 2:30pm so we quickly went in. With limited time, we quickly scanned the lunch menu and went with these options: - A. NIYA LUNCH SPECIAL COMBO: $22.95 - C. SUSHI COMBOS: $25.95 - Seaweed Salad: $4 The interior is simple and clean, with a straightforward menu--every dish comes with a picture, which is super helpful. The ingredients were fresh, and the grilled scallops in the lunch special were delicious. Contrary to some reviews, I think the portions were pretty balanced and we didn't experience the issue of too much rice or not enough topping. The server was very attentive and he asked if we wanted to add anything else before their break. As we were leaving, we noticed the freezer by the counter had macaroon ice cream sandwiches for $4 each. They looked pretty big and tasty but we were already planning to grab dessert elsewhere, so just left it to next visit. This restaurant has been here for a while and its only five-minute drive from the Bolsa Chica Conservancy and also not too far from Huntington Beach. If you're in the area and not sure what to eat, this spot is worth visiting. Niya Sushi (Located in The Mailbox Center) 5910 Warner Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92649

One of my favorite guilt free no rice rolls.

Stopped coming here about 5 years ago, but seems they changed hands again and are back to being a good place to stop in for some healthy food after our gym workout. Happy to say we are once again regulars and want to give a shout out to our favorite waitress, Gina. We come so often, Gina remembers what we order and is always extremely friendly and attentive. The food here is quality. From their omakase to sushi rolls without rice, everything has been above par. My friend always orders the 3 item combo which comes with a very nice salad. All items are top quality and prepared with exceptionally well. The service is attentive and quickly prepared for us because we usually have less than an hour after our workout until closing time. Thanks to everyone at Niya for making our dining experience positive.

I love this sushi spot I've been coming here for years. Its always so clean and the staff is always so nice! They play a good mix of music while you eat. I love there Baja yellowtail roll it's so fresh and has the perfect Lil kick of spice also my fiancé really loves the Ducks roll with tempura eel and spicy tuna !

Super tasty, unpretentious, simple sushi. Came in for lunch, the waiter pointed out a special close to what I had wanted in case I didn't see the better deal. Had a beer in the coldest mug ever! Spicy tuna and a cali roll were served quick on the same plate. Veggie tempura was filling and good. Also had the rice and miso soup, all were good with no discrepancies. My only drawback is presentation, no wow or zaz in the serving. 10/10 would still come back for lunch or date. Fast and attentive service.

Came here to try out what was in my area. Sushi was pretty standard, nothing terribly fresh in the salmon when I tried it and nothing keeping me from coming back unless I happened to not want to go the extra miles over to the other places I prefer.

I wanted to update my review for Niya since it's been a few years. We come to Niya for our casual sushi dates. Their fish is usually fresh, affordable, and they have options for no rice. Their menu has lots of options and specials. They also have specials not on the menu listed in the place. When we came in for lunch they had blue crab handrolls available and lots of drink specials. There were so many different options. I got their salmon teriyaki lunch special which came with miso and a salad. The salmon was a little underwhelming but everything else was good. I also got their Angel roll as well. It's a yummy no rice roll that includes, fried shrimp, tuna, salmon, and spicy crab. It's wrapped in soy paper. I recommend it if you do not care for rice. The person I came with got their lunch sushi combo which is basically their chef's choice of 10 pieces. All the fish were good. They also got the Niya lunch special which comes with your choice of 3 different types of rolls (4 pieces each). The baked scallop, Hawaiian, and Washington rolls were all good. We left pretty full and spent about $75 for both of us for lunch. Service was excellent and food came out quick. The inside is pretty casual. It's located in a strip mall so parking is pretty easy. It's an HB gem.

The soup was vegetable barley it was freshly homemade, so nourishing. The sandwich had fresh avocado- perfection. Smoothie was vibrant, bursting with flavor. The ambience is laid back & relaxed. Beautiful location in old world village. Esther is such a sweet lady, so welcoming & kind. I can't wait to return.

I had thought of going again back as they're closed on Sundays, I didn't get to go back until today (worked most Saturdays until last year). It seems the old pharmacy location is a different business now & Esther's Place is inside Old World Village near Bella Terra. Always drove past this place thinking this place was for Octoberfest like the one in Torrance. I was pleasantly surprised at the charm of the whole plaza & the stores they had in the Old World Village. The owner & the namesake of the store was there & greeted everyone with a big smile. She was friendly & welcoming. There seem to be regulars as she chatted with them with familiarity. You order at the counter wherebthere are a few stools. I got the half sandwich & a shake. She gave me a bowl of soup so I told her I wanted the shake. She said the soup was just for me to taste! She gave me a generous amount 'just to taste '. hisband ordered the full sandwich with soup & Esther said he will enjoy the soup as everyone loves it. He sure did enjoy the soup! Each day of the week, there's different soup, except split pea soup is served on Wednesday & Saturday. I got the 14k shake & it was delicious with lots of coconut shavings in it. I got half an egg sandwich which was delicious as well with tomato, lettuce, sprouts & avocado inside. I should've gotten the full size for just a $1 more but I was full. But for those who's like me, I didnt look at the prices so didn't realize it was only $1 difference. Husband got the chicken salad sandwich & enjoyed it thoroughly. They sell chips made in Huntington Beach 'since 1986' - we never knew about it. They relocated 8 years ago & Esther's Place has been around for 29 years. This is impressive as she is still cheerful, friendly & very well put together, and seems to thoroughly enjoy her work. We will go back as often as we can - it's across the street from Costco, REI, & other shopping locations. Hope Esther's Place stays around for many more years to come!!

You should never judge a book by its cover. Pulling up to the nondescript strip mall, I was sure…read morethat all the amazing reviews had gotten it wrong. The truth is I couldn't have imagined what an enjoyable meal myself and my two companions would be having. Having flown in from Seattle for work we were desperate to get away from the Hyatt Regency for a little bit better food. So I turned to yelp. As we walked inside you are immediately taken by the charming atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming! From our amazing waiter Timmy to Misty our chef/owner. Every single dish was fantastic. From the French Onion soup with bone marrow, the Mac and cheese shareable, to the garlic bread with pesto.. But the entrees and desserts SHINED! I had the scallops while the other two had the 8oz hanger steak. Both steaks were cooked to perfection (rare and medium well) and the scallops were so buttery soft they melted in your mouth. The desserts was cheesecake with a raspberry gelee for one and a warm banana bread with ice cream and chocolate drizzle for the other. Even though we were all stuffed, the plates were worthy of a lick (although we restrained ourselves). So if you're ever find yourself in Huntington Beach and want to up your food game, come to this little gem. It won't disappoint. Will definitely be back next time!
