Loved our experience here at Sushi Para II! We came in later on a weeknight and were seated right away. Service was efficient and friendly and all of our food came out very quickly. I didn't take pics of everything, but we ended up getting the miso soup, grilled squid, tuna poke and karage as appetizers - all of which were super fresh and delicious. Then we got a variety of specialty and basic rolls as well as nigiri . The standout of the night was the eel - it was soft and melted in the mouth and perfectly seasoned!! We ended up ordering many more eel containing items throughout the rest of the night. Honestly everything was super fresh and delicious, the rice was perfectly cooked as well. Overall great value for the variety and quality of the rolls that they offered. I've been to Sushi Para's DC location many times. It was most convenient all you can eat sushi from our home just outside the DC border in Silver Spring, Maryland. Unfortunately the location did not last the pandemic, so we decided to get this Chicago location's sushi delivered to me and my fiancé during my stay at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab to celebrate my last night there as we often went to celebrate special occasions for us and our friends in DC. Overall, the sushi was quite better than we had at the DC location. May not quite meet the quality of Friends Sushi or Sunda but their deals (both all you can eat and the dinner special) definitely makes it 5 stars. We ordered two dinner specials with an appetizer, 3 rolls, and two pieces of nigiri sushi. For the appetizer we got the tuna poke, which was delicious and not something we remember DC having. On one tray ls we tried were Crazy Tuna, Philadelphia, and Volcano rolls with Mackerel and Yellowtail nigiri. The other one had the Michigan, Mountain, and Christmas rolls with Red Snapper and Mackerel nigiri. We hope someday we can dine in person for the all you can eat sushi, given our beloved Sushi Para DC has closed. read more

We LOVE the all you can eat dinner special here. For $26.99 each, you can get as many rolls as you want. Just make sure to finish the plate, as any leftovers you will have to pay additional. This is a blessing as my boyfriend absolutely loves sushi and can house upwards of six different rolls to himself! We also adore the fact that it is BYOB. We always bring a bottle of wine or case of beer. The sushi is high quality for such a reasonable price. They are always busy, but the wait is never too long. I've been to several AYCE sushi places in the city and I don't think you can go wrong with Sushi Para in Lincoln Park mainly because of its affordability and quick service. I believe this is one of the cheapest all you can eat options I've experienced paying about $32ish after tax and tip, and I was able to walk in with absolutely no wait on a Saturday evening (granted our party only had two people). I will say the sushi quality is notably lower than some of my other go to AYCE sushi places--the nigiri pieces we ordered of salmon, tuna, and eel were noticeably larger slices than some of the other places I've tried but the fish quality isn't as good, it didn't give you the "melt in your mouth type experience" and just felt like you were chewing larger pieces of the not as good parts of the fish. That being said, I think price and quickness is unbeatable for this experience, if you live in the Lincoln Park area coming here definitely saves you a commute to some of the other neighborhoods, making this place super convenient. read more

TL;DR - They don't take reservations! Get there early to get a table. BYOB! All you can eat sushi for $25, pay for the excess pieces you don't eat. Make sure to go early, get your name on the waitlist, or expect to wait some time. We luckily did not have to wait very long, but we only had a party of 2. Due to the COVID guidelines, we sat at a 6 top table and couldn't split the table to get more people seated for dinner. The sushi was so worth it! I got the Michigan Roll and Godzilla Roll, with Miso soup to start. This all would have added up to around the price of the unlimited, so I'm glad thats the route I went. I left two pieces of sushi on my plate, and we weren't charged for them, so I think they are lenient with the "pay for the extra rule", it's more so their customers aren't abusing the "all you can eat" privilege. This restaurant is also BYOB, I don't think they have a limit on the amount of alcohol you can bring, but there is a 1 hour time limit during their busy dining hours to accommodate all guests who are waiting. I saw a review earlier that said there's a 7Eleven next door to buy alcohol, but as of March 2021, I didn't find any alcohol in that 7Eleven, so it truly is BYOB. The food was so delicious! Highly recommend this place 10/10. We did AYCE for $26.99/person dinner which is the cheapest one for dinner we could find in Chicago, so it was a better deal. The cuts of fish were such a good cut for thickness and size. There was a bit too much rice for the sushi, but I guess that's how AYCE gets you. The sushi rice though tasted perfectly seasoned. Not too sweet, not too vinegary, not mushy or too sticky, and warm enough temperature. We ordered a smelt roe sushi, salmon sushi, egg (tamago), mackerel, eel, red snapper, white tuna, white fish, yellowtail, and Boston roll. Such good cuts and tasted very fresh! The Boston roll was also good with a perfect layer of rice thickness (not too much but not skimpy). It tasted like a Korean 김밥 (gimbap) which I love and was really fresh also. Parking was fine. There's a public parking lot on another side of the road for like $10/hour or 2, so good deal. It's in a neighborhood area with a lot of apartment houses so it was easy to find also. The servers were very kind and attentive. We went on a Friday night and there was no wait time but it wasn't empty, but it should be packed because of how good the food was. The price was affordable, but I think you can attribute that to the quality of the rolls.
