Yes they can be a bit more organized as I had to ask for menus.... Can't go wrong with a cold Sapporo in a frosted glass. The tempura appetizer was anything but crispy but the rest of the dinner was fine. Another appetizer was deep fried chicken ( really small ) with a dipping sauce. I had the seafood udon although I would have enjoyed more udon noodles with it. My wife had the sushi and sashimi and she thought it was good and fresh. The restaurant was previously a picture framing business. They did a nice job converting this. I hope they do make it here in Glenview. Ok, so Sushi Park is good. Roll-wise and bento box-wise. Even their sashimi is pretty good if you order the normal standard stuff. Price point is good. I actually think that it's a also a lot of fun that they do experimental rolls and offer such a large variety of food on their menu. We have had many delicious items, that I wouldn't have thought otherwise (Namely the salmon skin), and I would love to try more! This is a good place to have a nice sushi dinner or lunch. They have my business if I am not having a crazy craving for anything too exotic. No questions asked. Parking might be a little spotty but nothing too dramatic and hard. Annoyed by their inconsistent pricing. Called in and ordered a spicy salmon roll and asked to add wakame salad on top. Done this twice before for dinner (recently), & it was $10. $7 for roll, $3 to add salad. After hanging up, I call back to add the appetizer sashimi salad. Menu says $10. Me: "Hi, I just called and ordered the spicy salmon roll and wanted to add--" Her: "Oh you meant the spicy tuna roll, right?" Me: "No. Spicy salmon with wakame on top." Her: "Ugh. Hold on." I presume she was fixing my order. I add the appetizer sashimi salad, she promptly hangs up on me. 20 min later, I send my bf to get the food, he returns with a $28.42 receipt. I didn't see the receipt until after they were closed. The next day, I call and ask how two $10 items added up to $28.42? The woman I spoke to was much more pleasant, but told me what I ordered was a "specialty roll" (never was before) and it was $12. Ok. Despite their menu clearly saying appetizer sashimi salad was $10, she tells me it's also $12, so that's $24 + 2.22 tax = $26.22. Still not $28.42. We went on a Friday night and there was a bit of a wait (outside because there not really waiting space to stand nor sit inside). Once seated there we received waters promptly but waited a bit to order food and drinks. As a result, we ordered an appetizer at the same time as the food. The food was server at the appropriate temperatures and tasted fresh. Each item was brought out as it was ready instead of all food being brought out at once. read more

Small, mediocre sushi. Ordered two rainbow rolls, hamachi sashimi and a couple of handrolls. The spicy tuna handroll had nothing on it but tuna, very bland, in fact they were all bland and not very well put together. My spouse's scallop handroll was also nothing but the scallops and fell apart immediately. The rainbow rolls were tiny and dry. That said, the folks were all nice and the service was good, but the food just didn't cut it. In my opinion, they are not trained sushi chefs, just someone who bought a turnkey business. read more

Enjoy taking friends and family here. Especially love the lightly battered salmon belly with asparagus. And their sea urchin is fresh. Appetizer selection is pretty extensive. The nigiri are fresh and of good portion for two. Love their green tea. They also give free miso soup I believe and an after dinner sweet wine drink for free. Customer service is great. The staffs are all very friendly. I always have a new person which I enjoy all of their service. The place is small and parking is hard to find. Sushi Park has been tasty for years, but on Sunday night I went with my boyfriend and ended up with food poisoning in the middle of the night and into the next day. I had the spicy hamachi, the spicy tuna roll, and the fantasy roll. I've had the spicy hamachi before, but this time it tasted different, not very good, plus they added A LOT of chili oil. Makes me wonder if they were trying to cover up the taste of old fish. I'm not sure if I'll be back again. We ordered the following variation of items: Chicken teriyaki 2 rainbow rolls an order of Maguro All items were below average in taste, portion (small portions) and the rainbow rolls were warm. Finally, salad was only iceberg lettuce with a few shreds of carrots. One person in our party compared to Whole Foods sushi. This place has good sushi and my gf and I have always been regular customers here. Tonight we showed up and just wanted to sit at the bar and have a few cheap / quick California & avocado rolls as an appetizer. They wouldn't take our order because it didn't add up to more than 20$ on the total bill. Wasn't even that crowded and they turned us away for that (as we were ordering...). It's unfortunate that all they care about is $$$, because we are normally good spenders there ($50+), and they just turned away a regular customer. Gotta say that this new place on Park has some pretty good chops. I am a spoiled rotten sushi snob and they came up with all the right answers. We started with the deluxe sashimi plate which was beautifully presented and had generous portions. Then I started asking questions. They have monkfish liver, grilled hamachi kama. They know what engawa and hoya (yuch) are, but did not have them available. The aji which was the "fish-of-the-week" was fantastic. The owner/chef Andy is super friendly and showed us his "fish portfolio" that he keeps with his wholesaler. The sake list was very complete as well. He even has Kubota available on the sake list. They had a wide choice of varieties on the combination, such as teriyaki salmon/chicken/beef, couple sushi rolls and also chicken katsu. I ordered the 2 item of Teriyaki Salmon/Beef. Service was fast, food came out hot and fresh in a bento box along with salad, rice and soup. They also serve alcohol, so Sapporo was the choice to go for. My lady also ordered the 2 item deal of chicken katsu and a sushi roll, very fresh and delicious. The surrounding of this place is nice and safe and has plenty of parking. It is in a friendly neighborhood along with friendly people. Inside is pretty small, seat capacity of about 15-20 people? Also has a bar section for dine in. It is very clean and decorated. It is definitely my #1 choice for Japanese food. When we're craving sushi, Park Sushi never lets us down. It's close by, it's fresh, the staff are super nice. I got a bunch of rolls for me and my wife on Mother's Day (my daughter will come around to sushi one day) and my favorite was the 580 roll. The tempura portabella mushroom in there was a revelation! Their unagi nigiri just melts in your mouth! The only downside I have with them is that I can't order online. But maybe knowing that all of the money I spend there goes to them and no percentage goes to a delivery app might make that okay. read more

3/23/16 Thank GOODNESS! there is finally something other than 2 expensive Italians and 2 breakfast/lunch place and now the defunct corner place, which was good I was a little skeptical because of the other restaurants on Park, which are good in their own ways, but seriously Park Blvd., was in need of something other than the latter. For my taste the chicken Teriyaki was fresh, delicious, I had spicy tuna, eel it was also very good. By far they had the best and freshest Seaweed salad. I will definitely be coming here often and happy to bring in a new place that is not Italian!!!!!! enough already! read more
