My family's absolute favorite sushi place! Consistent and delicious. My daughter loves it so much that we held a sushi making class there for her 10th birthday party this winter. The kids had a blast and they actually succeeded in making their rolls look (and taste) really good! I also love that it's a local, family run business. Min, one of the owners, even had her daughters come in to help with the birthday class. In terms of the food itself - we love the poke bowls, the bang bang chicken, the California rolls and sweet potato rolls. I don't think we've ever ordered anything we didn't enjoy. If we are out of town and eat at another sushi place, our kids always compare it to the gold standard of "our" sushi place in Philly. read more

This sushi spot is very quaint but is clean and has a good amount of seating. When we ate here there was some construction going on, so it was loud but our waitress kept apologizing for the noise. She was very sweet and friendly, and our food came out in a timely manner. We started with the crab rangoons and they were yummy! They had a really nice creamy filling and a crispy shell. Then I got the two roll combo, which starts with a tasty miso soup. I got the salmon avocado roll (added spicy mayo on top) and the sweet potato tempura roll. Both were yummy and the combo was a pretty good price. I wouldn't say it blew me away but it's a good sushi place and I'd like to try their poke bowls next time. read more

In this city with great sushi options, this place is mediocre. Small rolls compared to other spots. Fair prices for what you get. I had a spider roll that was $16, but quite small. I think the crab wasn't drained well enough after it was fried because my roll felt a bit greasy. Very kind employees. I'll try again if I my regular spots are closed. read more

Above average poke bowls that are inconsistent in portion, but provide very fresh sushi. I've ordered from Sushi & Poke at least 4 times. The packaging initially included messaging to customers about doing what they love. It was smart, and made the experience more personal. They could add more toppings, additional gluten free dressings, and do what I haven't seen, note toppings that are organic vs the ones at the top of the top 15 vegetables with pesticides found on ewg.org. The bowls taste good, and whether it's sushi rolls or poke, it's always a good option to choose from. read more

I came in on a Sunday around 2pm to grab a bite and do some writing and I was not disappointed. It was nice and quiet at this (admittedly slow) part of the day and the staff were all very kind and responsive. I asked for extra ginger for my sushi and was quickly brought a generous side to my table. I got the shrimp tempura roll, the spicy salmon roll and an order of their takoyaki. The takoyaki was my favorite- crispy outside, creamy inside with discernable chunks of octopus and flavorful sauces. The sushi rolls were nice and fresh but a bit disappointing in terms of flavor- no detectable heat in the spicy salmon and even with the sauces the tempera roll was rather bland. Over all a good meal with great service- I will be interested to come back and try more of the menu. read more

I just missed their lunch special hours by a few minutes, so next time, I need to remember to come in a little earlier. Ordering piecemeal makes for a very pricy lunch otherwise. FIrst off, the staff were really nice and helpful. I opted for the miso soup to heat up my cold, dark heart. That was $2 for a cup. It was very good. Next, I ordered something that sounded different, some kind of mango / crab appetizer, plus one sushi roll of unagi (two pieces).The appetizer was small and bit overly sweet and ice ice cold, baby. These two were close to $6 each. With tip, it came out to around $17. Note to self - come back earlier and make sure to opt for the lunch specials. Very likely worth it and better for my wallet. Wanted to order some sushi for dinner as I was having friends over. Only 3 of us, so I saw the buy 1 get 1 deal on Uber eats. The first thing that attracted me was their Godzilla roll. Read the ingredients and it sounded delicious! Also added a buy one get one spring roll. Didn't think to look through the pics and made my purchase. When it was delivered, driver kept ringing the doorbell, wanted to make sure we were there for pick up, I had thought it was contactless delivery oh well. To my dismay, the Godzilla roll, two of them for that matter, fits inside the smallest to go container: roughly 5.5 in x 3.5 in box. For one roll it's $14 dollars plus tax. Two rolls doesn't even look enough to feed one person... and then to top the disappointment off, the spring rolls were the size of a finger.. wow how do you charge people $6 for this? When I tasted these two items, they weren't bad, but it wasn't mind blowing to the point I didn't feel bad spending the money for so little food. If anyone is going to make a special roll, and americanize a Japanese dish, shouldn't rolls be big? I probably won't be ordering soon until I see new items worth the money read more

We ordered for pick up during COVID. They said it would take 45 minutes Which felt a little long, But it was no problem for us. We walked around the neighborhood until the time they said it would be ready and when we showed up to pick it up it was already ready! I ordered a "pick 3" with alaska roll, spicy salmon roll, and spicy tuna roll. The alaska was delicious. Although the spicy salmon and tuna rolls were both good, I couldn't tell the difference between the two...I'm not sure if it was just poor quality fish or if they made a mistake. I personally don't like this sort of spicy (whatever fish) roll, where they puree the fish and add tempura flakes. Adding tempura flakes makes it not gluten free, so they should warn of that! There are a few small tables for dine in but the majority of orders were takeout and delivery. I got the peach bay poke bowl which had salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, red onion, jalapenos, and poke sauce. Be aware that the place is very casual - we ate our sushi on paper plates and drank the wine we brought from solo cups. (All fine by us though because we weren't looking for anything more than that.)
