Fresh, delicious, decently priced and quick! Definitely a good choice for sushi if you're with a small group. Only downside is the seating space is maxed out at 15 seats, but that's the beauty of it.

Sushi is always fresh and delicious! Service is fast, efficient and always friendly, very welcoming. Small inside, with only about 8 seats. Great spot for takeout. This was the 39 piece sushi platter with a seaweed salad.

It's always a 10/10. Consistent every time and fresh always. They are quick and very kind.

I only tried DoorDash but OMG! This is the best sushi I've had in a long time with such killer deals! The salmon, tuna, eel, yellowtail, everything was melt in your mouth fresh! It wasn't fishy either! I love how you can get three rolls for 16.99. Their sashimi and nigiri were also so so so good..: not to mention the roll! The tuna belly was so good too! The avocado and eel were perfectly creamy! I dream about this meal and can't wait to eat it again soon!!! Vic sushi bar you have my heart! Hope to visit in person soon!! But for DoorDash... 5/5 stars!!!

Good for the price. I think this is one of the more affordable spots in the city, though not in the top 10 best tasting sushi. It's definitely not bad and great for take out! We ordered for take out and got the miso soup which was perfectly hot when we got home. We also ordered the tuna dumplings which were tasty but weird texture. They had a lot of avocado in them if you're into that texture. The 3 roll special is a good deal, but just keep in mind the rolls are very tiny. Overall, decent value

vic's has always been my go-to spot for a quick bite of sushi, i've been here so many times... i can't believe i haven't written a review until now! i always order pretty much the same thing here, i get the 3 roll special, typically with spicy salmon, spicy tuna, salmon, or salmon mango. my friend also likes the yellowtail scallion roll here. if i'm feeling extra hungry and wanting to splurge, ill get the best friends roll too. what can i say? i'm obsessed with salmon. vic's is a reliable spot for a solid bite of sushi. the service is fast, no frills. their rolls are basic, nothing fancy, but the fish quality is solid. the only seating is around the sushi bar. it fills up quick, but the turnover is fast as well. when the craving hits, vic's is my go-to spot. but i will say, if you're looking for fancy sushi or small talk with staff, this is not the place for you.

Great spot to check out before a comedy show. We went here for lunch. The place is pretty small with a few tables and small bar seating. I don't think the place has a restroom. The restaurant does have a small sink to wash your hands at. The server took our orders really quickly. I got the miso soup. The soup was delicious. I also got the 15 dollar 3 roll special. I got a cucumber roll, futomaki roll, and california roll. The futomaki roll was made of crab stick, egg, avocado, cucumber and some masago.

Vic is my hands-down favorite sushi restaurant in the entire world. I've been going here for years now, maybe for almost 10 years, and the restaurant has consistently beautifully crafted, reasonable priced sushi in a quaint environment. I did take out on the weekend and the sushi was done within 15 minutes, despite all of the restaurant seats being full. The sushi melts in our mouth; the rice and fish ratio is fantastic. Service is quick and no-frills, just the way I like it.

This place is seriously amazing! It may be a bit of a hole in the wall, but don't let that fool you, bc this is some of the best sushi I've ever had in my life! It was very quick service and had amazing melt-in-your-mouth sushi. And considering we are from out of town and the phone was ringing off the hook and locals were coming in every 5-10 min to pick up takeout, can safely say this is also a locals-approved spot. Seriously can't recommend this place enough!

Just a normal sushi bar nothing special. It provides urchins but when we came we were told it was not available that week.

Vic Sushi Bar is a must-try for anyone who is looking for quality sushi in the city. To start, the restaurant is small with only a handful of bar seats as far as indoor seating goes. However, I've never had trouble getting a spot during the 1-5pm time. From sitting at the bar multiple times for our meal, this place definitely gets busy with takeout orders throughout the day. Ordering online is easy, quick, and food is usually ready to pick up within 20 minutes. Service here is very attentive and quick. All of the workers are extremely friendly and helpful. I can say I've easily ordered here (takeout or dine-in) probably 8-10 times in the past few months and it never disappoints. The sushi quality, size, price, and varieties are some of the best in the city. Always very fresh tasting, and hard to not keep ordering more! We usually will order the three regular roll special ($15.95) and a couple of special rolls to share for two. The regular roll special is nice for ordering the classic favorites, while also leaving room to try a new roll here and there. Top 3 rolls we've tried: -Diamond roll -Salmon Mango roll -Best Friends roll Overall, Vic Sushi Bar is my number one go-to for takeout and is seriously worth every penny. I highly recommend trying any of the special rolls while also getting some classics. Vic Sushi Bar is amazing!!

    Sashimi sampler

The sashimi is fantastic. I'm not a sushi snob, just a regular person who honestly doesn't love fish that much, let alone raw fish, but the sashimi was silky and tender. The salmon especially marbled with fat was exactly as good as it looks. Definitely ordering again. The 3 roll special is filling. The sweet potato roll is a must get as always, it's sweet and crunchy like a dessert. Tuna scallion was pretty good. I didn't like the texture of the spicy salmon roll (it's like a very soft tartare, which someone else might like), so I'll try a different one next time. I love Vic's! It's a treasure.

    3 roll special!

Picked up take out from Vic Sushi Bar a couple nights ago after leaving Helium Comedy Club. Their 3-roll sushi special for $15.95 is by far the best 3 roll sushi deal I've had in the city, price wise and quality wise. The fish is fresh and they don't skimp on the ingredients. You only get the 3 rolls, no soup or salad, but that is not a deal breaker for me.

Left 25 minutes later than planned. [Fast forward: the guy next to us was wearing a full suit.] We arrived at 5:30 and were told the wait for a walk-in was 20 minutes, so we went to Graffiti Bar next door. P wanted a marg, which was not on the cocktail menu, so the bartender asked what kind of tequila. P said Patrón. We started our happy hour evening with $45 cocktails. The wait was actually only 10 minutes, but they give you a 10-minute grace period once they text you, so we had to chug nevertheless. There is a pipe that says "warm" as you walk in. Touch at your own risk. Now at Double Knot. We ordered the tuna roll and salmon rolls. Good, but not that good. J wanted the yaki soba and liked it. P liked the pork potstickers. J ordered a Sapporo and an argument ensued about how to pronounce "a" in Japanese and/or other Asian languages. A professional woman once scolded J for mispronouncing Wang. We then played odds to determine whether J would turn his Sapporo into a sake bomb using P's sake. Both guessed 5. The sake did in fact "bomb," erupting all over the table and causing a scene. The wait staff did not notice because the ambiance, while "lit," is actually pretty dark. Coast clear. For revenge, we played odds again. P lost and was forced to put soy sauce in her sake and chug it. She took it like a champ. The waitress complimented P's top as we left. Margs at the pourover bar next door: $45. Rolls at Double Knot happy hour: $8. A compliment on a $3.69 top after arriving 36 minutes later than planned: priceless. 7/10.

Royal's announcement on they starting to take reservations, a few months ago, immediately had me in stalker mode. I set a calendar reminder, waited for the day, hopped on & bang- success!! Another Philly weekend awaited, Yea! We arrived at Royal (apologies on review delay, circa April 11), for our 8:30pm high top table reservation. We were greeted and seated immediately- right side corner table ready. It's very dim in Royal, small but mobile and a bit noisy. Nothing unexpected. Skating over service, but they are so noteworthy. Our server was attentive, kind and helpful. They HUSSLE here to bus and clear tables. Timing for patrons arriving and being sat was like it was scripted, it was so flawless. No one waiting at the entrance corridor on arrival. Machine precision. Now, our meal- I'm drooling in my daydreams over it. We tried many plates & loved the portion size to be able to do so. The chicken wings- crisp, thick golden fried and tender. The toro with caviar- silk. A touch of brine, a melt in your mouth pleasure. The grilled octopus had an unassuming spice, mellow char and just the right consistency of chew. My husband ordered a surprise- I was scared. Fish heads. WTF, ok here we go. The plate came- heads on heads, quite the portion. This fish- first bite down, intimidation gone. This is one of the best things we've ever eaten. Succulent, moist fall apart whitefish. Didn't even taste like it was battered, no thickness to the breading. It tasted fried but so clean it didn't make sense how good it was. I don't have words. I had really high expectations coming here and thankfully I wasn't disappointed, although nothing completely blew me away except for the Aka Taka roll. The chirashi bowl was solid overall and had good quality cuts of fish for $52. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, but next time I think I'd personally just order the sakedon instead. The chasu bao also wasn't really worth the $14 in my opinion. It was still good, just not something memorable or mind blowing. Same with the wagyu steak, for $38, it honestly just tasted like a really good steak, and the portion was a little smaller than I expected. My favorite appetizer was definitely the miso eggplant. Such a unique combination of flavors and the eggplant was cooked incredibly soft and well. It almost tasted like a sweet potato with the miso on top, and I would absolutely order it again. But the standout of the night was easily the Aka Taka roll. For a $27 roll, I had very high expectations and somehow they were all met. The roll was stuffed with different cuts of tuna that were unbelievably soft and buttery, and there was this crunch in the middle, maybe daikon? Whatever it was, it added the perfect texture. Honestly, it's something I'd go back just for.
