Included in the chicken pad Thai is also perfectly cooked tofu and delicious pork rinds. Honestly, its so good that it can satisfy a pasta craving also. Their tom kha soup is also in my opinion the best in Miami. It's not overly watery or just coconut milk like most offerings. Pla tu makes it with fresh herbs and has a little bit of heat mixed in. It's so good. The pieces of chicken and mushrooms are also tender and not overly boiled like most tom kha soups. We also go for the sushi. Their sashimi is extremely fresh and we can never turn down some fresh sliced hamachi here. Lastly, yesterday we tried the Thai Donuts. I am not normally a fan but the waitress insisted we try and boy are we glad we did. They were warm pillows that melted in our mouths and we scarfed them down. I've been there many times to that restaurant and it's one of my favorites in Miami area. It has a long-standing history of very good food and fresh fish. I had an appetizer of the three types of fish, tuna, salmon, and white fish. It came with a nice serving of ginger and I like mixing that with my soy sauce it was very good. They also brought chicken fried rice for their children and of course they loved it. The kids also had tempura shrimp rolls and they ate every bit. We had Kano su as well, and even though it was takeout, it was just as good as it would've been if we had sat in the restaurant. I will talk about my past experiences there. I've never been disappointed when dining in the restaurant and again this was takeout that we had, which is also spectacular. So dining in the restaurant it's very quaint and quiet even when it's crowded they do have a bar area for those who like to go and watch sports on TV, but that does not interfere with the dining room because you can't really hear the noise from the televisions in there. The service is on point every time that I've ever been there the servers are friendly very accommodating. Sometimes when I go there, I get t yum Goon and a flavor it just the spice level that I like. I drive 25 minutes each way because the experience has been consistently worth it. Has been . . . On my last visit there was variance. Significant variance. Their record of consistency collapsed. On April 3, 2026, I placed an order that was supposed to be ready for pick up in approximately 45 minutes. I arrived at my expected pick up time, gave my name, and was asked to wait a little bit longer for my order. Reasonable enough on a Friday night. All good. Twenty minutes passed. I asked for an update: "how much longer is it going to be?" I was told it's going to be another 30 minutes. They apologized, offered me a beverage, which I appreciated. That's the only reason I'm giving an additional star. Bottom-line: I waited 1 hour after my promised pick up time for my order. That's simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I opened my order at home, the sashimi portions were noticeably meager. Well below the standard I've come to expect for their Sashimi Mori. Maybe this is an outlier? Maybe this was the busiest night of the year? Of the past five years? Regardless, it's hard to ignore. I'm writing this review in the hopes that that a restaurant I love returns to the standard that earned my loyalty in the first place.
